I mean, technically you can S-Support anyone if you just want the child units, but if you care about min-maxing and optimization and all that then you might want to carefully consider who you pair with who so the child unit can get the best stats and skills. Child Units inherit the last skill currently equipped to both parents. So, if Kaze S-Supports Felicia, and Kaze is a lv. 5 Master Ninja and Felicia is a Lv. 15 Maid they will pass Lethality and Tomebreaker onto Midori. By using the Equip skills menu you can manipulate the order of your skills so you can make sure you pass on the most beneficial skill to a child.

But, again, you don't have to do any of that if you don't really care about gay number nerd shit.

As for best 3DS FE game, I kinda wanna go with Awakening. Echoes has great art, story presentation, voice acting all that, it's mostly just the maps and gameplay that are tiresome. Sure, Awakening maps are all rout maps on big open fields with nothing interesting going on, but I'd take that over Echoes maps where you trudge through poison swamps fighting a never-ending legion of Mogalls.
Doesn't help that half of Echoes and Gaiden has one of the worst protagonists in the series, Alm is pretty based though.

I don't think Celica is that bad in the original Gaiden, since there she doesn't really trust Jedah and only accepts his deal because Alm was stuck in the Rigel mountains getting fucked by necro dragons, but yeah it's dumb that they manage to fuck up something a 20 year old game did fine.

Any interesting characters besides Toothpaste-chan?

Twitter really likes this character for some reason

Rosado seems to be a trap character like Lucius, Libra and Forrest were in past games, mostly because his VA is (in)famous for voicing traps and because the 4 kingdoms seem to have a 50/50 Split of 3 guys and 3 girls, so unless they pull a blue lions with Illusia, Rosado being a guy would keep the genders balanced.
That said, considering how the Xenoblade 3 translation done by Treehouse, who might be the ones doing the translation for Engage as well, turned a girl into a they/them tranny and casted her a they/them troon VA for the lulz, as well as the guilty gear Bridget shit were the devs turned him into a tranny despite it contradicting the past games, i am 90% sure Rosado will go from a crossdresser in the JP version to some sort of tranny in the western versions, probably going to get a tranny VA too to seal the deal.

I sure would like some Hopes dlc
I do, too, man. Fuck 'em for blue balling us like this. I don't care about no soundtrack. I just want a finished game...

guess that's my fault for being suckered into buying it *grumbles grumbles*.

Yeah, that's more or less the case for the nearly all of the 3DS games. But it shouldn't take you too long for you run into the fun part of Conquest
Popping out more ugly ass babies?

Oh, wait. You're talking about gameplay.

You know what, they should've brought in child units for Three Houses. That would be hilarious.

"Celica is like, one of the most compelling characters in video games, dude"

Yeah, "compelling". As in, fucking up everything and making Alm's life ever harder.

In the JP version Bridgette is still a dude. The US version was the one that messed up shit.

Still, I like how trannies are such losers that they need "representation" in a video game because they have achieved nothing in life.

Weeaboo’s can be pretty lame, but stupid woke weeaboo’s are the lamest. Translation takes understanding about culture, etymology, idioms, history, and they ways in which societies interact between various demographics, etc. Not just using Duo-Lingo or Rosetta Stone that mommy bought you for Xmas. They completely miss the Jap subculture of “feminine men,” and “traps,” and where it originated, not just 2chan jokes, but the people the stereotypes come from. It’s not a “trans slur,” either. These dudes (who know and love the fact that they’re men) have been around for centuries, well before the (modern) invention of “trans.” Most research cites male performers who played female roles, (such as in Kabuki,) as the cultural impetus for the somewhat socially accepted girly-man. Not “trans.” Troons love to slap a “trans” on it and call it a day. Helps them live one day longer, I guess, though it’s wise to keep them away from history and archives and esp translations, as they are consummate liars and opportunist truth twisters with their troon vision fantasies. That “translator” above, speaking about Rosario or whatever his name is, demanding players “respect pronouns” is just a perfect example of idiots unknowingly or uncaring of shitting all over things they’ve no clue or understanding for. Jumping the gun to dodge the noose.

God, the voice acting in this game is cringe.

Dude, it's Twitter; it's not worth having an stroke over

Ahhh, Ghast. The walking example of a retard that thinks he's smart. Wonder how his "totally not ripping off the Laguz from PoR" romhack is doing. I remember Mangs playing a then-recent built and... wow

I should do a Let's Sperg.

I recently replayed the 3DS games and going from fates to valentia sucked as most of the QOL changes were gone and it was like a gimped version of the sacred stones. Where I could at least buy some fucking equipment for my army on hard.

It was definitely not as good as I remembered and the rediculous level of artificial difficulty is outright making it impossible to get any gear for your units while they send top tier units with omega godslayer weapons and maybe will drop you a tinfoil sword once every act or so on hard.

Blacksmiths in valentia? Theyre damn near extinct. Only encountered one on alm’s side during my playthrough up to the sluice gate in act 3. With prices that only make it feasible to upgrade any weapons you do find to level 1 at best.

By then its too late and you’ve already got most units on their 2nd or 3rd class promotion with no weapons at all and can grizzly bear rip paladins apart with their bare hands. (Lukas is mvp tank. Gave him a ridersbane i found at the end of a dungeon and let him take out an entire calvary wing by himself as a low level baron/general class.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to force you to do that all over again with the statistically inferior units on celica’s side needs to be thrown to the terrors.

They have 0 defense and will automatically die on the ai’s turn even if you dogpile them one at a time on a bridge or chokepoint. Shielding them with melee units is the “go to play” but even then its a luck of the draw if that nigger boey doesnt choke to death on a book page by next turn.

What happened to grinding? Even on Hard, it's not exactly that difficult.

I have literally never had a weapon supply issue, Celica's route sucks balls though and should never of been made. Literally the worst maps in the franchise.

Both routes have their downsides, but whereas Alm's route has like maybe Fear Mountain that sucks, almost all of Celica's route sucks. Like, at least you could cheese Fear Mountain by warping Alm in, using Double Lion, then using Rescue to pull him back. In Celica route you are desperately Invoke spamming just to get some fodder on the field to help you deal with all the terrors.

You do know that you can get an free one at Zofia Castle, right?
Its been a few years since I last played Echoes so I have completely forgotten the story. All I remember is that the final fight with duma was an rng nightmare and the buried archanea city of the post game was not as difficult as that fight.

This playthrough is hard/classic and its a decent challenge so far coming up with strategies to clear each map. Got past the alibaba map on act 4 now on alm’s side and hilariously no scoped Medusa across the map with Clive’s killer bow as a bow knight on a single turn.

Falcon knights finally have a purpose other than being bodied by everything in the game on lower difficulties. They make a great screen for any undead or flying demons with the banish ability. Witches also get bodied by any bows or holy magic. As the enemy casualties pile up it makes the end screen look like the beach after d day on every map.

Celicas maps especially suck with how many demons you have to hold off while you get a strike team of dread blades ready to gank the boss and everyone in the room in a single turn.

I did grab the ridersbane from from zofia castle for alm’s army. Then said fuck it and tried out the cipher legends dlcs. The four new units felt like cut characters from the game as they probably were and oddly they have as much dialogue for just about every location in the game as the base characters do and arent in heroes at all.

The power of being from a card game that never left japan.
