"well, women do love winners, don't they Halligan?"

seriously, by the end of any route, you've proven yourself (story-wise) at minimum a brilliant tactician and possessing godlike powers. who wouldn't like that?
And that’s before touching the whole “Rhea’s Mommy Issues” hot topic. If I think about that S-Rank too long I start hearing “Sweet Home Alabama”…

Yeah, marrying your grandma who is somehow your daughter is pretty fucked up. But it's certainly cringe on how much she fawns over you in most of her supports.

Fixed that for you.
Really either one works, though at least Tharja wasn’t in a game that made me hate it - if I credit FE/Fates for anything, it’s having the 3 Route structure and manage to suck ass so they learned what not to do in Three Houses.

That and nerfing Galeforce, but considering in Awakening how easy that skill made the game when half your army could have it, I can kinda get that one…

Yes, Camilla and Tharja aren’t hot at all… point is if you expect gamers to look past coom you’ll be disappointed.

I know this is more Advance Wars adjacent than Fire Emblem, but how is WarGroove?
Well, positioning is more important than it was in FE if you want to deal some extra damage: Cavalry deal bonus damage after moving a certain number of tiles, you'll never want to fight an wall of spearman, and the soldiers are geared towards being your commander's bodyguards. Speaking of which, their abilities aren't as insane as the ones from Advance Wars, aside from the guy who can yeet people to their deaths. It's mostly AoE buffs, area denial, and killing people as opposed to affecting your entire army.

Another frustrating thing about TH...Yellow Deer sets up a larger lore plot with the dragons. Rhea turns into a dragon.

..but the unit never turns inti a dragon and the nemesis fight is the final battle. I really think there should have been more "post game" story even if its like 5 maps with some larger Monsters. Missed opportunities.

There should also be more classes to choose from. Or maybe some more master-level classes that are not mounted.

Also special attacks should have special animations, not the same crit animation for all of them.

I thought WarGroove was alright. Kind of like how Bug Fables is alright, but not Paper Mario. WarGroove is alright, but not Advance Wars.

There’s times I honestly feel the Final Battles for Silver Snow and Verdant Wind should’ve been switched. Least having the final Verdant Wind battle be against Dragon Rhea would tie that plot point off.

The Nemesis fight honestly just comes entirely out of left field, and doesn’t really make sense regardless of route, but to me that one’s always seemed like they realized “Oh Shit, two of our routes are the exact same, what do?!” and decided “Fuck It, the Cult kept Nemesis in the fridge, fuck it we’ll do it live” - considering the story between the Church of Mommy Issues and Nemesis, it’d at least be somewhat fitting

So far I still liked the "fuck the church" edgelord run with Edgelordgard.

I didn't like the "stupid faggot" run with DUMBitri. Guy is seriously missing a few chromosomes if we're going with the plot that the writers came up for him.

Golden Deer is okay.

Isn't the "you get killed my parents!" subplot what most Lords go through, anyways?

Yeah but the moron seems to think that five year old Edgy lierally killed mommy and daddy.

I actually can't think of any that doesn't apply. Think Roy's the only exception, wasn't eliwood just really sick?
Thin milk makes Roys weak.

Could be misinterpreting, but thought his process was: "Arundel was responsible for Tragedy of Duscar (after research in library). Flame Emperor (later revealed to be Edelgard) seems to be doing similarly violent, underhanded shit. After the reveal, he believes that the empire is rotten to the core, since it seems like everyone is willing to do subversive shit, but takes it super personally because of their history.

And he conveniently forgets about the mole people that Edelgard is working with.
