Curates do technically have a payoff for training in that magic is set damage in this game, but yeah you dont really need to go through the trouble. Best mages are Merric and Linde cause of their prfs, magic damage is pretty much a nonfactor outside of those.Curates are essentially worthless. Don’t bother leveling them up and you don’t need more than one per map. I think you could get by with using a bishop for the entire game instead. Hammerne is overrated if you’re smart about inventory management. I guess you can use it to refill warp on the map you get it. Aum has one good use in that bringing back someone from the dead gives you a camel to help manage inventory during the end of that chapter.
As is the case in most games, yeah probably. Boah is also very good.Wyvern knights are the best class in the game IMO and I found great success deploying all the flyers in nearly every chapter I could use them in. Since enemies prioritize Marth, you can use him to keep snipers out of range. Bishops are the second best class. Boa is underrated. I found him super useful.
If you're using a combat carry other than Marth then yeah I would say probably give it to them.I think giving the boots to Marth is potentially suboptimal. The boots really only help on a few maps or when you need to bail someone out. If you’re playing smart, I feel like someone else can make better use of them. Smart warp usage also points in favor of giving boots to someone other than Marth.
Yeah. He has no weapon level growth so he'll never be able to use any of the better swords, so Devil Sword is the best he will ever be able to do. It's a fun niche thing against the final boss at least.Julian can be good if you level him up and give him the devil sword, but it’s a lot of work. I think it’s more of a fun challenge than a legitimate strategy.
You don't even really need to do that, FE1 and its remakes give plenty of warp to justify using it whenever you want. The only item worth hoarding is warp. Everything else should be utilized as soon as possible.
Probably. Doubling threshold is 1 AS iirc so you can get even the slowest units to double just about anything.Speed is the most important stat, IMO. Strategically giving speed boosters to slower units can be very effective for fleshing out your army.
Convoy and trading is awful in this game, yeah.Managing inventory is the hardest part of the game. The game gives you plenty of money. I only bothered to use the silver card for secret shops.
Promo sets your stats to class bases so further levels in Tier 1 only serves to make your bonuses worse.Promoting as soon as possible is better.
He definitely is. For his very brief training arc he ends with better stats than Jeorge, whose stats are worse than Sniper class bases.Tomas is arguably the best archer. He only needs to get two levels to promote. Once he promotes, his stats will be better, and his growths will be better than other options. Jeorge plateaus. Gordon is a PITA to train. Wolf has skill issues and will miss when you need him to hit the most, but Wolf is probably my runner up
Water walking is helpful at certain points, and Barst once again has a funny niche against the final boss.Barst and Daros are both underrated. Barst has access to the devil axe, and Daros has utility in early chapters because he can go on water
I like the flexibility of becoming any one of your strong units, or even support units. I've gotten use out of him becoming a staffer in the past. He's very much a prototype dancer.Xane is overrated. He eats experience when you can just deploy another strong unit. I find him only useful for two purposes: if you lack another strong unit, and if you need a second Marth. If Xane transforms into Marth, he can activate recruitments for example.
