He committed the cardinal sin of not liking Wuk Lamat and speaking ill of Sena. The community has largely circled the wagons and been overly protective of Sena/Wuk so a high profile streamer expressing his opinion that Sena was...not good is tantamount to eating babies on stream.

That was borne out of some crazy JP people who were showing up at the SE offices over crap with FF7R. I can't really fault Yoshida for taking that sort of shit seriously.
 
Xeens is probably the only ff14 that i occasionally watch but for his rants and when i was following the case involving him and some retarded nigger that harassed him and his lawyer.

He (and the entire parent company) aren't Americans. They don't get banter and are overly formal and have hammered this point over and over again for a literal decade. It's not like Xeno tripped over some insanely obscure rule that he could not have possibly forseen - the FFXIV TOS (https://support.na.square-enix.com/faqarticle.php?id=5382&la=1&kid=68216) is 80% "do not harass other players" in any space where communication is possible.

Additionally - the people he really took issue with (Sena and Kate) are NLWC already - Japan just doesn't revel in firing any employees, so they finish out what they've got and leave quietly. FFXIV already introduced Kate's replacement and Sena's speaking roles dropped off drastically past 7.3 into the "we might hear from this person once every 2 expansions". There's also a pretty wide gap between "I don't think Kate is doing a good job" and "Kate is a fucking retarded bitch" in terms of messages being communicated.

I'm shocked it took as long as it did.

Please note that Square Enix may issue a penalty in its discretion even if a report has not been filed but the act was found being conducted in public areas such as Say and Shout, search comments, Party Finder, or online video/streaming services.

I'm not saying it's amazing - but if I was a professional FFXIV streamer, I'd probably glance over the rules every so often.
 
"Fucking retarded bitch" doesn't meet US standards for harassment and, I would suspect, doesn't exactly arrive at them for JP legal standards either. As is the case with anything TOS-agreement-related anywhere, it comes down to the individual decisions of whatever contractor gets stuck actually looking at your report. While it is arbitrary and effectively gives GMs the almighty power of being a paid Reddit jannie, there's not really any means of recourse to it except to move somewhere else.

This is basically zero problem for about 99.999999% of the world's population, but it does mean for that 0.000001% who has made themselves reliant on access to this game in order to be able to pay their bills, they'd better get used to the floppy mouthfeel.

While I do think it's retarded to punish streamers who play a game in said game for their conduct outside of it or for expressing an opinion, rules are rules. Xeems is right in calling Kate and Sena retarded bitches, because they are and it looks bad defending people who have used your company name to openly express the culling of people they politically disagree with or starting online slapfights with your customers and calling them racist for not liking a fucking song. But if they have a rule where you can't say mean things about people who've tried to run their IP into the ground, you have to follow it to some degree. I don't like it, it's fucking gross, but it is what it is.

For the most part he is at least is taking the ban on the chin and isn't being a wierdo about it. Far as I can tell.
 
They should just axe healers entirely the role is fucking useless and we all know they won't ever make healers heal.

Just have two tanks for aggroing the boss and dps, fuck it. It'd solve the tank problem if half the healers swapped to off tank and nobody enjoys healing anyways.

There's been a lot of those termites crawling out of the woodworks in Xenos' replies. They make a great case for the fact you should never hold yourself to the standards of people who hate you, because they don't hold themselves to their own standards either.
 
So from what ive gathered they are just semi-abandoning Dawntrails dogshit story by giving us titbits of the new expac already?

How much is there of the dawntrail story is in the new MSQ content with that one new ascian?

Shits a bit soon for my liking.

Every expansion's back-half is something different from the main story. A lot of the time its setting up the plots you can expect to see in the next expansion but its not always the case.

so far the only thing that's in Dawntrail continuing over to Evercold is the key from Endless Sphene in 7.0, and then Calyx and Helmarut from the patches. Maybe the lore of the Lalafells migrating that was told during Living Memory and 7.4 patch might get brought up as "hey people other then Azem used the crystal and they used it to carry people across shards."

It starts getting introduced in the end of 7.4, with 7.5 and 7.55(?) being focused on build up to 8.0. Dawntrail is done.

I don't know what you mean by "a bit soon", that's how it was before Endwalker changed everything up - x.0 is the main story, x.1 to x.3 is a follow up to wrap up the story, x.4 onwards builds up the new expansion. Endwalker changed it by completely wrapping up the story in 6.0, then only introduced Dawntrail at the absolute last minute.

They've always done this (except for the lead up to Dawntrail) where they start introducing us to what the next major thing is towards the end of the patches.
Best example of this that comes to mind were the few patches before Shadowbringers.
