Balmung won because you could server hop to help a server so the entire Crystal DC helped out, but that had the side effect of locking people out of the content so SE changed it so you couldn't access it if you were on a foreign server. After that Tonberry pretty much crushed everyone because it's one of the largest servers due to being the unofficial SEA server.
I like keeping it on the forums. Good forums have been dying too much as is. Plus, I wouldn't be able to join the FC since I run my own, so I would miss out on all the fun. It's literally just me and my partner, but I'm an autist who enjoys sending out submersibles.
They also just underestimate the insanity of the American housewife. In one of my old FCs, the leaders were a husband and wife duo. I raided with the husband and the wife was a stay-at-home mom.
The problem is that there's not much point unless we actually do stuff together. I spun up one of the previous incarnations of the kiwi CWLS and it just died with in a month.
From memory Male Duskwight Elezen was the rarest combination of race, clan and gender in game, with there being like 0.1% of players globally. They are great if you can glam away the neck issue. I used to be one before switching to Viera in Shadowbringers.
Think male Elezens get an undeserved bad rap tbh. Find it hard to believe the neck is such a deal breaker when male Viera also have that neck problem. Post-Character creation update though, the female Elezens got a massive glow up.
