I've been dumping old gear into company seals, anything good to sell using them?
Coke for MB, then duck bones if you just want to convert it to gil I think is the 'most efficient' seals:gil ratio wise.

Fun fact, you'll get more gil from selling chest and leg armor to vendors than turning the gear into company seals. Jewelry is best conversion rate for seals. Company seals, best things you can get is stuff that used for the HW relics, teleport tickets, and repair kits. Jewelry to seals and then seals to duck bones is also a good gil generator.

Thanks everyone, I'm so glad to have a place to talk about this game without gooners or trannies
I do not know if they have updated the conversion ratio, but old expansion gear with hunt currency is how I used to do it if I was bored. Pretty sure you can go to Sharlayan counter, get an entire inventory of 6.x rings for 25 each, and they should still be around 2k seals per.

I generally use it for the repair materia.

If you're wanting to chase gacha stuff, there are the lootboxes where you can get minions and mounts.

Materials that are used for sub construction or are GC obtainable only are also good but can fluctuate.

The GC branded furniture is also something you could spend seals on and sell on the MB, but those aren't high demand items unless you find a decorator needing to use them for something.

There's a bunch of mats you can buy with seals that are needed to make FC submarines, like Coke, Peacock Ore, ect. Not the most gil, but selling stacks of those on the MB was my go to for steady income for a while.

Alright I'm done with base dawntrail
4.5 out of 10, I was gonna give it a 5 but the shit with the endless was boring, so I lost interest at the end
it's insane, that's the only thing I liked about this game Solution Nine and that's it, what the hell happened
I struggle to wrap my head around the fact that there are real human beings with the same rights as me saying it's good
Please give me any cope on why evercold could be good, because this was draining

Squenix knows that this is their cashcow and so they can't let it keep slipping like it has been. So far the patch story (once they get away from Tural at least) has been better received, and I'm personally cautiously optimistic that the Job changes coming with EC will help reinvigorate the team's creativity when it comes to encounter design since they no longer have to work around the idea of 2 minute burst windows and having enemies just stand there like dumbasses.

I'm not as sanguine as you when it comes to CBU3 actually improving XIV combat, but as they say hope dies last.

Luckily, there's quite a few people here whom will probably try out Evercold at least, so we'll have a fairly decent spread of opinions.

This is a super autistic thing to nitpick but I will never forgive them for the horrible disconnect between the VAs for Cahciua and her son.
Erenville was introduced in Endwalker along with the rest of the male Viera race. He has a VA chosen to go in line with the normal speaking accent of Viera in the game, their Norwegian accents. At the time, everyone thought he was just another male viera who came out into the world from his very remote home. The same sort of lore for any viera in Eorzea.

But then they retconned him to make him fit into DT by saying he was from Tural the entire time. In Tural, all the viera there have 1.) A completely different culture in tural and 2.) all the viera in Tural speak with AMERICAN accents. So where does his wierd Norwegian accent come from? Are we just gonna ignore how Erenville speaks utterly differently from the rest of his kind? They don't even touch on this, they just ignore it hoping that the players don't ask any questions about it. I'm sorry, I'm not gonna ignore that Erenville sounds like a swedish white guy with a heavy accent while his mom sounds like a sassy black woman.
Yeah he was blatantly shoehorned into DT because people liked him in Endwalker. He was fairly obviously supposed to be a bit character with a couple scenes originally, and equally obviously just supposed to be a regular (Dalmascan) Viera who happened to be living in Sharlayan, so they gave him the same established accent as the Viera from Othard have in English, ie the Icelandic accent that's a homage to Fran from FF12.

Anyway, I think the lack of addressing it is basically just down to the fact that the "oh he's Turali" retcon came from the writers, while him having the standard Viera Icelandic accent is specific to the English localization, and thus never really going to appear in the script at all.
So it's almost certainly never going to be addressed beyond leaving it at what is implied by his other characterization, like adopting a Dalmascan Viera-styled "city name" while rejecting his birth name, and originally refusing to talk about where he's from. That is, that it's another part of his elaborate act of pretending to not be from Tural.

Which I admittedly think would make more sense as an explanation if the dude wasn't also like canonically 25 (since they had to make him quite young to facilitate that "childhood friends with Wuk Lamat" bit) and absolutely can not have been away from Tural for more than a rough decade at most (given the side story set in Tural 13 years earlier). If he was older than he looked, like Viera tend to be and Endwalker implied he was, then I could more easily buy that he has developed a convincing persona of being from somewhere else, but as it is... come the fuck on lmao.
He would have shown up fresh from Tural while half the Scions were still in the Studium, the fuck you mean he got away for two seconds with pretending he was from anywhere else?

Evercold wont have Wuk lamat so it has that going for it, for now.

The literal moment you never have to see Wuk Lamat again, the plot instantly gets better. Not great mind you, but there's a spark of potential there.

I swear everytime I hype myself up about how this time I'm gonna craft all my gear myself and maybe sell some
But then 10 minutes after the msq my ass is at the market board buying all the gear
I need that wing mount for my mount addiction
I levelled crafters then eventually just decided not to craft based on principle.
I'm the WoL, not a fuckin woodworker. I make my money from Treasure Hunts and Materia flipping. If I have more than 2 million gil at any time, I'm not spending it enough.
I get why some people enjoy just setting up macros and grinding away in your off time but it lost its appeal for me pretty quick

I just do crafting and gathering so I can repair my own gear and make my own stuff to be self sufficient. The only hurdle is pentamelding for end game things but there are many easy ways to get free materia.

I do my crafting because I don't feel like traveling just to do anything besides MSQ and getting BiS gear is utter cancer. Thank God gear is getting looked at in Evercold
