Even Llamatodd is starting to fall into lolcow territory. He’s gotten progressively more insufferable ever since Athena started dick riding him in their videos and giving him attention.

Which is almost impressive, considering it's usually Sena and Kate in their crosshairs; the two that are vortexes of nightmare PR whenever they open their mouth on Bluesky.
Whoever battles morons should see to it that in the process he does not become a moron himself. And when you look long at retardation, retardation also looks at you.

any other kiwis feeling a tinge of excitement for Pilgrim's Traverse this late evening?

im a deep dungeon sperg and a necromancer so i'm pretty excited, but i understand most people don't really care for that type of content. i think it is really fun because there is an actual sense of danger and you have to thoughtfully use all of your abilities.

i'm pretty disappointed with what the rewards look like, but hopefully the dungeon itself is fun. maybe. maybe the title will be good too. i don't think anything will ever make me take off my necromancer though.

I haven't even made it past floor 9 of PotD. Final Sting gets me every time.

Side note: NIN is done. Back to Shadowbringers to level Dancer

I'm cautiously optimistic, I just hope the enemies aren't just giant health sponges immediately from the start like Eureka Orthos. I love deep dungeons and like to run PotD and HoH but Eureka was just so shit compared to the previous ones and I am unsure, especially in light of the issue with Occult Crescent and Forked Tower, whether they learned the right lessons of why PotD and HoH are good, while Eureka Orthos is shit

I've never fully gotten into deep dungeons. I played through all of them up to Orthos earlier this year but dropped pretty quickly because of the grind.

I am honestly a bit interested in the variable difficulty they talked about at the end of PT, and I considered resubbing for it, but I think I'll wait until the Variants to come out in December so there'll be a decent amount of 4-player content to party up for.

Unrelated: apparently the Dark Knight gear added to Monster Hunter Wilds for their half of the collab has a health drain/damage tradeoff. Therefore making it more mechanically accurate to Dark Knight than the real thing.

I like the idea of Deep Dungeons, but something about them just holds me back from truly enjoying them (well, for EO it's one shot mechanics and inflated HP). I'm really, REALLY hoping this new one and what they're planning to do with it makes it worthwhile to play. All the shit I want being pushed to .5 is really testing my strength.

I've been taking a break from the game and haven't played since shortly before DT released, but the monhun collab as well as those stained glass weapons have me interested in playing again. I actually enjoy deep dungeons, though I've never completed them solo. Eureka Orthos and HoH were both very fun to go through, though I've only done them once each. I'm hoping I can still find a group to go through it by the time I work my slow ass through DT and the rest of the content I've missed.

It does. You lose health based on the charge of your main slash with the greatsword and also releases energy blasts for extra damage when you're using Shadowbringer. The set also has skills that increase attack when you have recoverable(red) health, so it all works together. You can also use TBN as a counter move which fires off an Eventide for 1k+ damage, or you can let an Edge of Shadow off early for 300-500ish damage if TBN doesn't break. When you land the TBN counter it drops your health to 1 and you can deal damage to recover HP, or heal normally. It's a stupidly fun set and I've been using it nonstop since I got it.

Ok, didn't feel like doing more than a little bit of the new deep dungeon so tried to go in by myself for a start. I must say, so much better (at least to start) than Eureka Orthos. It seems really quite fun. The first boss also is immediately quite a bit more complicated than the first few bosses of PotD or HoH. It really seems quite fun but probably will need to go through with some groups before trying solo.

Going to try Pilgrim's with my friend this weekend, looks kinda neat. Absolutely no interested in the 4 man boss at the end.
The MonHun collab was cool, I really wish we could get the grill animation as an emote. The normal fight was fairly standard but man does being a tank feel shit, the boss has absolutely 0 interest in you and just does his dance. Amount of rewards is fairly good, you apparently can randomly get the Ex mount from normal as well.
Is it just me or do the colors on the Sekrit mount look incredibly washed out in the XIV engine? I remember it being way more vibrant in Wilds even before I got to customize the colors.

I saw that the 4man boss and 'Quantum' scalable/modifier difficulty was in, then I saw the requirements to access.
>94 aetherpool, and currency from accursed hoard drops to buy in/loot.
How are they so consistently able to create content that at least seems interesting and then find some aspect to fuck up and make it not even worth bothering with.
I do not want to play the deep dungeon as many times as it takes to almost max out the RNG dependant weapon/armor strength, just to be allowed to take part in the only other new content you have left that was advertised as part of the expansion 2 years ago.
I know I am being negative without even entering the content but fuck me. I want it to succeed because I want them to make more interesting 'evergreen' (and especially 4man) content like this, but I want it to fail because fuck them they need to realise they are being retarded (and also it would be funny).

Trooncer got banned on X, now rebranded himself as some male vtuber with a scottish accent.
So his youtube persona trooned out? Lmfao

Resubbed so I can play the DD with friends on the weekend, going through the MSQ now. It's decent and it's funny that they heard the feedback about how questing being nonstop talk to 3 people was shit. I don't expect much from my MMO questing but it's good to get anything else, the puzzle adventure part in the office is fun. Still think the Alexandrians are annoying, this expansion we got to pick between Disneyland tier Peace and Tacos and Cyberpunk Gay Retards. I'm not looking forward to Necron since I already know they fucked up his battle music.

My buddy was working on it today and he had gotten up to floor 60 and was at 70ish for aetherpool. They've also tweaked how much Hoard you get and you can get some rewarded as part of the weekly challenge log.

I don't think this is as big an issue as you're making it out to be.

This is actually good to hear. I was going into this with a negative outlook because of how shit the last one was. If they have actually made allowances for how much hoard/sacrament currency you get, that is good news and they have footgunned less than I thought. I am always happy to be wrong with regards to Square at this point.

Having done 1-20 so far I can say that it is far less of a chore/slog to get through. Trash doesn't take forever to kill, chests are plentiful, and there aren't much in the way of bullshit abilities. Once you have enough aetherpool the lower floors are going to be a breeze.

I just cleared floor 20 and got 7 of the oils, which I believe are what is used to challenge the boss. You can also practice on the boss as much as you want (according to the same friend who managed to clear), so I think they are really trying to make this as retard friendly (not saying you're a retard, speaking in general) as possible by making it as accessible as possible.

I've been enjoying it thus far. Both boss fights have a bit going on to them that keep you on your toes, and I'm hearing the higher levels get trickier, but with less overall bullshit.

This is all great news. I was basing my reaction entirely on how they implemented Forked Tower/Occult Crescent and the patch notes, which showed needing at least 15 of the currency to challenge the 'Quantum' version, with the quantity offered modifying (to what extent no one will know as yet I think) and stating the currency after the quest reward initial amount to be coming from the hoards. If I can convince some old FC members to re-sub I might have a crack at it. Knowing trash dies without taking 15 minutes on floor 2 is good.
