Hopefully they go for FFlogs next. Just cut off the ERP autism and the raider autism in one fell swoop.

Reminds me that they sure are taking their time adding the in-game raidplan thing.

I had a whole doomer shitpost, but I miss the people I played with. Mix of casuals that topped out at doing maps or extreme farming and people I cleared the tier with in PF/mixed statics. They all dipped during slow periods as we all do, less come back every patch.
It has been fun laughing at the gooner mod-pocalypse though.

IIRC Yoshida was waffling for years about "please don't do mods" but never did anything about it. Wonder why Square finally got off their ass now. Did they catch the ire of the authorities or the payment processors?

One theory I've seen tossed around is that third party asset rips rights holders are holding SE's feet to the fire over having their intellectual property being used for profit and having SE indirectly facilitate it.

I have no idea if that has any legal basis or is accurate, mind.

There was always a secret understanding between the players and Yoshida. "Don't do mods" means don't use mods to be disruptive to other players, don't advertise mods, and don't put square in a position they have to come after you (aka using copywrited songs, making bad press, or trying to make a profit from it).

There's a speech of him going basically "if you copy and paste the combat log into excel, it'll math our your DPS for you. Are we going to try and ban Excel? Just be adults about it". Clearly the line has been moved to a point where they can't really ignore it with FFLogs being so popular and FFXIV getting the reputation of the weirdo tranny sex game.

I hope FFLogs is next just for the absolute seething because Yoshida absolutely knows how toxic it's gotten (and from other games too). If they got FFLogs taken down, you will be able to see the seethe from orbit.

Word on the street is that Mare was using UIDs like PlayerScope did for its blacklist or block function, and Square is going scorched earth on any plugin using those as a result of the PlayerScope fallout.

Tranny faggot crashouts incoming.
Holy shit, there is a God.
Please, I beg of you. If you find seething anywhere on twitter, please, I beg on bended knee that you show us. Total modbeast death.
People couldn't be adults about things. As per usual. Yoshida tries to have some faith in the people who play his game but honestly at this point, I don't know why he even bothers. They've proven time and time again that they are undeserving of good faith and trust because they will always just take that good faith, spit on it, wipe their asses with it and then throw it to the ground.
It happened when he told people not to be fucking retards by cheating ultimate clears.
It happened when he told people not to act like autistic faggots about their metas and damage meters.
It happened when he told people to not take advantage of his leniency regarding mod usage.
He asked people not to give him an excuse to go after them.

Well I say fuck it. Go scorched earth. I want all these pieces of AIDS to be driven out of the game. They've mucked things up enough for the rest of us already and I'm sick of the game being treated like a substitute for second life. Make them all go back there.

Works for me. Just get them the fuck out so they can stop shitting up every space these weirdo losers are in with thousands of screenshots of their degenerate, ugly as sin modbeasts doing the most depraved, disgusting shit imaginable. Get them out.

why do i need to join some tranny grooming discord just to be allowed to see some content in the MMO I am paying monthly for? How is gatekeeping content behind groups that literally want me to slap this mark of the beast to my name even remotely acceptable?

lol, what? did you not notice it was a social game? finding people for content requires joining communities and interacting with people. yeah the FFXIV-troon connection sucks ass but nobody's making you put a troon flag next to your name, you melodramatic bitch. if you'd rather pass on the content than interact with any of those people, fine, but don't blame the devs for it, lol. your monthly sub doesn't buy you the privilege of telling the company which specific stripes of degenerate internet freak are allowed to share the game with you.

it sounds like you just hard-stop dislike the game itself and would rather bitch about it from the sidelines like a fag. stay unsubbed lol.

I thought I'd log in for a second and check some of the normally very busy spots where people are AFK'ing, or perhaps doing ERP, such as Limsa. I have never seen these spots this empty. I think quite a few people have logged out with Mare shutting down.

Things have been pretty quiet before this shit happened today.

So apparently there was already a Mare clone made some time ago called Loporrit, which was made in response to Mare banning users who used pedo mods. Don't ask me what those looked like, I did not want to throw myself into the abyss this early in the morning.

Anyways, naturally very desperate users are flocking to Loporrit, while the calmer ones urge people not to get involved with it and wait for a proper replacement.

I honestly think this is a good thing, not just for the mod beasts and gay ass nightclubs and erpers.
I think FF14 modders have become incredibly entitled brats with the freedom they have been given by SE, and they need to be put back in place.
If there was a peace treaty between modders and devs, I'd consider it broken when mods started selling for $50+ (not customs, just for the DL links) and people started whining about mod ownership for their special snowflake modbeasts that were just ripped assets from another game.

I have the sneaking feeling that a lot of the people in question would have been using Loporrit in the first place if they knew about it.

Personally as much as i dislike the community of FFLogs, i do think is a helpful tool to help you improve and gauge where are you failing and work from there.
That is a fair point. The game needs to be better about feedback like landing positionals and such, although it has been a lot easier for people to figure it out themself now that the Jobs are more streamlined. I just absolutely abhor this dick measuring contest with logs and the tomestone passport culture that snuk into the game via it.
