Jog genuinely makes me want to stop playing. I know very well that that sounds strange and stupid, fully aware, but i just HATE the sped up running-animation, and to have that "forced" upon me actively makes the game worse. When playing a physical ranged damage dealer I already hated having to press Peloton after every pack in a dungeon, and now having to to that on every single job in the game..? No thanks.

Now i have to choose between always having my character run like a cartoon character, or be punished for not doing that... I remember when they added special animations for Sprinting with your weapon equipped and I was SO hyped about it. Now, I want to remove Sprint from my bars entirely - though I can already hear people in dungeons yelling at me for not using Jog. Ugh...

Ninja is my favourite job in the game, but I always hated how their slightly increased movement speed made my character run. But I still loved the job so I ignored it. Now ALL jobs have an EVEN WORSE sped up animation..! Why..!?

Now, I understand that most people probably love the introduction of Jog, but personally I've never had an issue with the normal running speed for the past 11 years of playing, and I've no idea why they felt the need to change that. We've got Sprint, Teleport, Aetherytes, increased Sprint duration in cities, Peloton, and this patch even gave us mounting up while running. WHY on earth do we need Jog too?

Please, at least give me an option to toggle it off permanently...

Again, I know it's a stupid thing to be mad about, but I genuinely feel like it makes my gameplay experience worse, as weird as that may sound.
Oh, Official Forum. Never change.

>Decide to queue for alliance roulette on dynamis, get Monastery.
>See mechs on bosses that are skipped easily in other DCs because the dps is low
>Marks for Cid are marked incorrectly
>Wipe for the first time in probably 7+ years on Ultima because every healer and raiser died during the dodge part

I have brought this upon myself.
:shit-eating:
I just had to abandon the Disco Green normal raid because the healers kept dying and there were no rezzers. I even put the danger dorito on myself. I swear this player base keeps getting more and more retarded. I have a theory that the devs dumbing down the jobs actually has a cobra effect on the quality of raids. Now that any retard can get through 95% of content while eating paint chips they feel emboldened to try out the other 5% and we're all suffering because of it.

Failed 2 crafts while semi-distracted and miscalculated the number of materials i needed for one of the items but otherwise, done with that crafting marathon.

I think the devs are realising how much people dislike Wuk Lamat. It felt like this time around, they were trying to heavily reduce Wuk Lamat presence. Wuk Lamat doesn't get teleported away with you before the trial, and when you need to give a quick tour of S9 to Sphene, they put Wuk Lamat into the background and and give her an NPC to talk to instead of you.

They even held back during the scene where you order drinks by just going "you and Sphene order first" and having her behind you not saying anything and just waiting quietly. I feel like before the recent criticism they'd have an entire thing with her going on about how they have a drink in Tuliyollal and this one you're trying is just like it but you add milk while they don't in Tuliyollal or something like that.

It also feels like they actually understand better how to keep the WoL power level in check again. You can't just attack Calyx when he was in the hall before the fight because he's an endless, so if you strike him down, it's extremely likely he'll just pop up in another body.

Oh wow, the final boss of The Underkeep steals the funny giant sabotender's gimmick.
Very cool and original and what excuse does a slab of electrope to have that instead of "haha giant sabotender bulks itself and pokes its spines out"

>lol sucks to suck broseph no cure for that, deal with it

>7.2 has spleen
>she also has elemental disorder blight thing
>immediately bring out the porxies

Sure sucks to be that kid I guess, only important people get porxie healthcare. I'm sure it isn't because Hiroi is a fucking hack who forgot and it took 8 months for someone to point out this was a thing.

Finished the Arcadion. Still better than the MSQ so far, but i've barely dived into the newest part. Naturally, trooncat showed up literally five seconds into the first cutscene (in fucking Solution 9. Aren't you supposed to be some kind of city leader?? WHY ARE YOU HERE AGAIN??)

Yukizuri's EX4 guide. Because being the first is more important than actually being a functional guide. Sorry we can't tell you how to solve this mech but thanks for the clicks.

She mentions Koana sent her there to keep an eye on the new Sphene. Yeah Koana's just the real leader.

Wuk Lamat spends 40% of her time vacationing per year. Some leader!

Shale is a random side-character at the bar and does nothing to hide her voice. Sphene is Milos's mother, and Milos is Meteion. I get that they've re-used voice actors in the past, but it hasn't felt so obvious as it has been in this expansion, though that's maybe because Koanna is 8 different characters. Almost all of the extras are british voice-actors. I only hear the one US actor - the female actor that played every single female side-character in 7.0. Cue flashback to a thing that happened literally 2 minutes ago, again.

Wuk is doing the accent about 25% of the time, a new low from any other point in the expansion. It actively feels like someone had to come in and go "hey, remember, you're supposed to be pretending to be hispanic." Some of these line reads - let's see if I can grab one real quick. Yeah, here, this line:

I almost did a spit-take when I heard it. This guy has caused them so much trouble with awful, awful, awful line-reads that took months to get fixed... and there's this beaut? There's more than just this one that I heard, but I don't care enough to fish around at the moment. This almost tells me that this guy is ludicrously hard to work with, because... why the fuck wouldn't you re-take that? It sounds awful. It's two words. That's, what, five more seconds in the booth?

The scions were phoning it in during DT proper - they're phoning it in here. Krile either completely forgot how to do the voice, plainly doesn't care, or they lost the EQ presets they used on her voice before. Sounds wildly different. It's amusing that Sphene's voice actress is trying so hard, as if she hasn't been as jaded as the rest of the cast. Erenville's is a consummate professional - I cannot imagine trying to seriously portray these lines of dialogue. "Oh gods! Oh no! ... can it be???"

In the end, this plotline is also a retread of Shadowbringers' post-MSQ: there, Elidibus walks around in the facsimile of someone dead to inspire the population to start doing stupid shit. Here, Calyx, who is perhaps one of the most blatant and boring 'Hiroi thinks anime tropes are really deep' examples yet, uses a facsimile of someone dead to inspire the population to start doing stupid shit. It's incredible that Hiroi took note of one of the few good scenes in Endwalker - the café - and tried to copy that, too. Except instead of realizing that the scene worked because it was characters simply talking and interacting, he turns it into a soliloquy for a thoroughly boring character. It's incredible that he thinks this is some big, deep, treatise on humanity's relationship to their own mortality... when every single premise that he uses to try to conjure up drama around this concept is stupid and has absolutely zero weight.

It's been a while, but don't they have that thing that restores aether unbalancing, or whatever the fuck?

Porxies, exactly my point. During the 7.0 cutscene the characters just ignore the fact that aether imbalance can be treated and instead just go "lol hope you get better, sucks tha that happened". At no point during it are porxies brought up.

Has anyone tried the Normal Raids yet?
M5 is a pain in the ass especially if your melee n has a groovy OST.
M6 is quite fun and the OST is nice but not to my taste.
M7 has a great OST, mechanics take time to figure out but once you get used to it its piss easy.
M8 ngl feels braindead once you figure it out, its just tap dancing. OST is also great.

M7S is going to be an absolutely menacing fight though. It's going to filter people so much.

The normal mode fight just lends itself to potentially doing so many crazy things, the fight can be pretty fast at points, and most importantly, it's the third floor fight so there will be new mechanics that don't appear at all in the normal mode (think of something like M3S bringing in the Bombarian Special, Final Fusefield and Chain Deathmatch).

I'm also predicting fourth floor will be a door-boss. First phase will likely be a conceptually simple phase with a couple trickier mechanics, but will mostly be based around the speed of resolving the mechanics (so nothing too confusing, but everything needs to be done quickly and correctly). Second phase will likely slow down the pace of the fight but give us more new and complex mechanics. Could be a wall boss, but not sure they'd do back-to-back wall bosses for the second phase.
