Unfortunately, I do not believe you and there's no good way you can substantiate these claims.
C'mon now, Grave.
You know I use PFs to farm Exes. I made a post about how I got my own wings from Vali EX back when I did that. 147 clears.
It's not impossible. Not consistent at times, but still very possible. And I'm a casual player. If you put your nose to the grindstone, a lot of stuff becomes possible.
Aaaaaah fuck it. I already made an NA alt, come call me a fag.

If anyone's interested we can talk about a discord or a free company (sneed company if you will). Still need to Questionable my way through the MSQ though.
If troons track my main down and get me banned, I'll take that as a sign from the heavens to go play a better game.
Sure, count me in. Ain't got nothing else to lose anyway.

I don't remember every single detail of everything everyone posts in here, pardon me.

I also never said it was impossible. What I was saying was that, as @The Stranger put it, "a bunch of shitters who do crap damage and think iLvl will save them from enrage" is essentially par for the course when it comes to PFs. "Putting your nose to the grindstone" with regards to that proves my point, the "grindstone" in this case being having to jump through Lord knows how many shitty parties to find the one party that can clear.

I sure as shit wasn't able to find that attempting my own Valigarmanda EX progs. What I did get were retarded healers who kept fucking up the last stretch of the soak phases during the middle phase with the tank swaps, tanks who kept fucking up the tank swap and, for some reason, were allergic to popping their panic button mitigation (seriously, it's ridiculous how often I had to directly tank two or three bursts solo using my own mit because the other tank was either late to swapping or ate shit from insufficient mit), and generally retarded parties that, for the life of them, couldn't figure out how to split and soak the AoEs during beacon adds, and this was with having pre-established groups before attempts. Also, shotcallers being absolutely retarded with RMMR placements (these idiots CONSISTENTLY kept trying to basically make the two separate groups mix and match each other's members for RMMR instead of just, you know, one group does their own RM positions, the other group does their own MR positions, easy peasy).

Actually, on that note, one group actually kicked a guy OUT for telling people correctly what to do and pointing out specifically who was fucking up where because "Dude learning party, let us learn lol, why you getting so mad lmao".

Even with a community as hugboxy and forced positivity filled as XIV's I always assume that anyone kicked out of a static, discord, etc. had a sperg out beforehand until proven otherwise. That goes for any game or community, really.
The spergout was someone posting the logs of the fight, and me deciding to actually analyze the fight.
I'll admit that focusing on the BLM was retarded, but this nigger was dropping enochian and this Feast Ranked Competition Ranker did that just before we would have otherwise killed phase 1.
Here's the XIVAnalysis results for the 4 DPSes on that pull, for the record. The Dark Knight's only rotational anomaly was TBN not popping once, and mine was using a non-optimal GCD in FOF once a few times (Which is unfortunately a feature of the PLD rotation unless you want to drift FOF by 1 GCD)

Sounds like you had a really shitty time. Sucks for you lol.
I've had bad parties for sure, but nothing of that level. Most of the time if people keep fucking up, someone leaves and everyone else follows. I don't think I've ever seen one of the parties I was in actually break into a legitimate full blown argument. Most of the time, I'm like watching youtube or something so I hardly notice when something is awry. For a mercy, someone with less patience than me just ends up leaving.
During the times when the parties were bad, I'd just take a break and come back later. If I'm being honest, I got way more parties that were good than the trap parties. And this is with like 10+ years relying on PFs to farm EXes.
Guess, I got lucky.

For the last 12 years, I have lived in an existential hell where good parties are the deviation and shitty parties where everyone is either impatient or painfully incompetent is the norm.

Out of all the horror stories I've shared in this thread, you'd think you'd all be used to my pessimistic perception by now.

And I was referring to Tari talking about his static. By your own admission, if PF and a static are the same why waste your time with a static when you could PF? PF at least has the benefit of convenience where you can do it whenever you have free time and you can make your own PF listing and remove problem players. 99% of the time if you can't clear an EX in PF within 8 hours you're the problem.

I wish you luck on uniting kiwis

Because you can get locked out of potentially decent PFs by not being Savage drops BiS maximum iLevel gear because retards make PFs farming regular ass content that people can comfortably do at minimum iLevel or slightly higher and set the join requirement to maximum iLevel. That is exactly what Tari told you here:
"we're doing a tryout in sphene EX because this is higher IL than the augmented crafted weapon so we should do it before going into savage"
At least with a static, you can have a consistent party that has the potential to learn, grow, and not be AS shitty as most PFs, and you have at least a chance at attempting the content instead of being locked out by the retards hoping to coast by on iLevel.

I've never seen a PF clear party set the iLvl requirement to max iLvl. Highest I've seen was 725 and that's rare. The normal was 710 or 720 for Sphene Ex (710 being miv iLvl for the fight and 720 being piss-easy to get, literally just unaugmented tomestone gear).

instead of being locked out by the retards hoping to coast by on iLevel.
If you stick around in a doomed party that's on you.

edit: screencap I just took on Aether. All of the 720 iLvl are only for people who have already cleared, and it's still only 720. The one practice party has no min iLvl

We're talking about Savage PFs, not Sphene. Sphene EX is only being mentioned here because due to SE refusing to make Weapon Augmenters obtainable via Nuts or Alliance Raid Coins prior to that raid tier already being over, it's the place to get the highest IL weapon that doesn't require already having cleared M3S (Augmented Quetzali) or M4S.

The 3 of us were talking about EX PFs. I'd agree that PFing savages is probably worse than having a static, but with your particular former static you're probably better off without them.

Ugh...I should probably stop being lazy and gear up the rest of my jobs.
Gatta relearn my crafting rotation because I forgot it.

That doesn't really have anything to do with what you specifically quoted, but it is something of a courtesy. Much as I complain about how incompetent most people are on average, I at least try to treat them with as much patience as I would want to be treated with.

I understand that sentiment, I used to be the same way. There's definitely a fine line between someone that makes a couple dumb mistakes here and there and someone who just can't get their shit together and we naturally want to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Actually, on that note, one group actually kicked a guy OUT for telling people correctly what to do and pointing out specifically who was fucking up where because "Dude learning party, let us learn lol, why you getting so mad lmao".

Nothing gets me to grit my teeth and think dark thoughts when retards automatically go 'why are you getting mad' if you speak up about something. I honestly do not understand why this community bristles at any attempts to help/educate/etc. I get that there are shitters who will always be shit and I've played a ton of games, but it is far more prevalent in XIV than in other games I have played.

Usually people are appreciative of tips or details they might not know. In Eorzea? "Why are you so mad, just let people play, maaaaaaaaan.'

I don't know if this is a generational thing, this community just being largely hugboxed or what, but it is such a strange phenomenon.

E: I will say that it isn't universal, as I've joined and participated in learning parties and even done some mentor roulettes (because I'm a fucking idiot who likes ticking off achievements) and there are people who are receptive. I'd argue the biggest issue with PF groups are the ones that disband after 1 or 2 pulls because everything wasn't perfect and no one wants to elaborate on what the issue is. The cases where people tough it out and you figure out the problem are rare, which I think is what makes PF so frustrating, especially since like 90% of the problems are fixable (for Unreal/Ex/Savage content. Best to cut and run if you're doing Ulti PF parties. Also helps to be playing healer/tank, usually.)

No. You're not allowed to be sad sads.
Only happy happy.

Here's your Burger King crown, mentor. Now fuck off back to Novice Network.

(Joking, of course.)

Average Zeromus EX "Meteor Skip" party:
- Someone isn't even IL720 yet
- No-one's read a guide
- The Dancer keeps dying to Void Bio
- Meteors keep happening and people don't even try to resolve someone
- The only person with braincells mentions the Goodbye World strategy and no-one listens
- Someone doesn't even have food buffs active
- Maximum HP, damage dealt, and spell-based HP restoration have been increased by 25%.
- "oh look meteor skip"
- One or more party members have yet to complete this duty. Second Chance points added to your journal.

Thank god the mount dropped and I won it.
