A couple of years ago they clarified the terms of service and one of the things you couldn't harass people for was "Differences in Playstyle" or some shit like that, which the "You don't pay my sub" people took as a sign that they were Yoshida's chosen people and could do no wrong. Hence any attempt at helping results in tranny screeching over said differences in playstyle.

This is why I stick to my JP DC, no need to worry about communicating with retards.

Yep. I've had people melt down about me asking the tank nicely to put their stance up.

I have no idea why this community developed such a collective bug up its ass about "telling people how to play"
It's like they all got the 'SpoonyOne with the Alien game'-mindset or looked up to him and thought this is the attitude to have when people politely suggest you stuff.

Seriously, when you have to walk on eggshells most of the time just to get through content, it's no wonder the Trust feature keeps covering more older content as well.

Does the JP home playerbase have these lunatic lewd RP's/easily triggered weirdo's too that SE keeps it as it is for the sake of money revenue or is this mostly a western thing? Legit wondering.

Hrothgar leather daddies are universal.

Japanese players do seem less prone to having meltdowns but also I don't really talk to them that much in duty finder since my Japanese is noticeably bad.

I hear in JP you can get insta kicked for something as small as not properly greeting people when you enter a duty.

Never seen that and I've been playing on JP since 2015, only time I've seen people kicked is if they are offline or AFK. If in high level content then the 3 wipes = disband rule comes into effect.

People melt down about this? I play as a tank and have found people telling me this helpful because, for whatever fucking reason, the tank stance often deactivates when I enter dungeons. Also I only ever found out about the tank stance from other people telling me, and I wouldn’t know how to properly tank without that help. But I guess leave it to the FFXIV community to be offended on others behalf.

My only funny encounter is when i was doing a dungeon with a healer DPS e-couple as tank and the DPS guy (presumably male) kept sperging when i mass pulled because his girlfriend was autistic and couldnt keep up

There was nothing wrong with the healing and i outright said that she could speak up and i wouldnt mind, i did a couple mass pulls to again perfectly servicable healing and some seething, the dungeon went without a hitch

No one will ever ask about the story, because the FFXIV community genuinely believes there is absolutely nothing wrong with the story and it is literally the greatest piece of fiction in existence. Now I do think heavensward and Shadowbringers have good writing, but other than that FFXIV has been pretty mediocre in that department. Tell that to the tranny community though and they’ll crucify you.
I'm one of the faggots that actually like the plot to all of FFXIV (that touchy feely anime shit just hits me right in the feels.) But I can laugh along side everyone else when they point out how dumb the plot can be. Like in Stormblood, how the hell did Zenos hide a dragon the size of Shinryu from everyone? Its as big as the damn castle!

But when I hear the screeching trannies and faggots sing its praises it makes me instinctively want to recoil and call the plot shit despite how much I genuinely enjoy it.

Yeah I mean I will say it’s entertaining at the very least. If I were to compare it to something, I get reminded of Drakengard 3 which had horrible writing, but the story was still genuinely entertaining. Is Zenos completely one dimensional? Yeah but he’s a fun one dimensional villain.

Agree, most of the time, in my experience, is usually the BK crowner of the group who gets offended or goes to talk for the person who happens to be the center of the problem. In a way the game and the community has created this space where some people just wont talk in chat(ill assume cause they dont wanna start shit or get reported by some snowflake, which i understand) Like one time i was in a dungeon with a SAM(mind you we are on Smileton) and i noticed the person wasn't using higanbana(DoT) at all. Me being a filthy SAM enjoyer, i told him why wasnt he wasnt using it, mind you im being polite, his reason being that higanbana doesnt do damage so why bother(which he aint wrong, but that shit stacks after awhile and its free dmg youre dealing). I threw the free advice of why he should use it more and the BK crowner stepped in and told me to stop telling the SAM how to play and just keep playing. I told the BK crowner that this doesnt concern him which made him throw a paragraph, which as always i reply with "okay" thankfully the others were supportive enough that they basically told the BK Crowner that i wasnt being "mean" and the crowner just left the party.

I see shit players in roulettes all the time but I never say anything. Mostly because I don't care enough and I won't tard rage over spending an extra 15 min in a dungeon because I lose enough hair from shit going on in my life enough as it is.

But that's because 99% of the time, I'm vibing to music or watching youtube while I autopilot. Even tanking because tanking is so dogshit easy in this game. If someone runs ahead and pulls everything I just do my job and pick it up. If a healer can't keep up with my pulls then I single pull until they tell me to stop.

I probably sound like a cunt for saying this, but I just find it amusing how people allow themselves to be bothered by things. Yeah it fucks me off seeing a red made use single target spells when the tank wall to wall pulls but I just can't muster enough care to be mad and just adjust my damage output to carry everyone through myself. More often than not, more time is wasted when I have to sit around and watch people argue over retarded shit instead of just getting on with the fucking duty. I know people want to be on their moral high horses, but just the act of arguing is wasting everyone's time. Just suck it up, do the dungeon and then chimp out after it's over. And I get that it's a game and people play to relax, but personally it would be less relaxing if I let people get under my skin all the time. I found that general apathy just trumps everything. You know...sticks and stones and all that shit.

I'm too old to be angry all the time anyway.

I just figure that if Square has the hundreds of millions to throw into Forshitten and Mid Fantasy 16 they have the hundreds of millions to code a proper tard-proof tutorial in their cash cow game if they wanted to and it is neither my place nor my duty to educate the rubes playing this game.

Unless they ask nicely, but in this year? within this cultural landscape? located precisely in this community? boy that isn't happening, they'd sooner admit there's only two genders.

All that besides, if I were to be able to somehow get them to listen then I would not be able to point, laugh and creatively burn them in chat in a way that's ToS compliant, so really I prefer the current state.

I had people bitching me out for this back during the Heavensward and Stormblood days.

It's why I started shutting up years ago in-game.

Trust me when I say that's a playerbase problem more than a developer problem at this point. The average XIV player would prefer never to touch a single button at all and have the game play itself, and even then they would complain that the game has no interactivity for them.

It's designed for casual players, which is fine. Glam is the real endgame after all.

Though I wish they'd add competitive PVP.

Can any of you gents explain why people dislike the nier raids? I personally like them(im a drakengard/nier enjoyer). Sometimes when i do a duty and a nier ome appears, some people just straight up leave. Is it a community thing or some people just straight avoid it like the plague?

I did not hate them, I think people didn't like them because they were a crossover that didn't fit in the ff14verse and them being recent raids that take too long to finish. Though the Ivalice raids, I fucking hate them due to them being related to 12 and retarded mechanics like common core math and staying still to avoid a sniper.

It's because, comparatively, the Nier raids take longer to complete than the Crystal Tower raids. And they're """difficult""" which makes the shitters unhappy.
