Skimming through the video, it's a mixed between a normal debut video and a shitposting one. I doubt he'll be using the vtuber model much, it's not like he was streaming on Twitch with a cam on either.

Like this part, how he said so many fan arts of his vtuber design out there as anime style.

There this announcing being part of a vtube agency, only then "immediately" closing down.

Speaking of Jo, that Omega Ultimate project's apparently been on hold and I don't want to even know why, just quickly skimmed through the VOD because I hate seeing his Twitch content on display as is.
56:44, "Once everybody is back and ready. We're gonna continue Jomega protocol and......" Everybody is busy irl, I guess.
Around 59:30, where he plays Amaurot theme, so I assume the charity run probably reaches around $70k milestone.
Edit: Nevermind, only near to $50k.

Finally back into this account after so bloody long. Email was doing for months.
Lol reading about the tank anxiety in this thread is a giggle. Let me assure you that tanking normal content in this game is honestly very easy.
Literally the only requirements to be a passable tank/healer/DPS in MSQ is "don't be completely retarded". The 4-man content is usually easy enough that it's hard to mess up once you see mechanics, and the 8/24-man content has extra people there for rezzes.

Occasionally I'll play with IRL mates and usually that involves my mate's GF playing SCH and basically doing no healing and dying a lot while the tank proceeds to collect 4-5 vuln stacks from choreographed mechanics. And even then, it's still doable.

Difficulty doesn't even start to become a barrier until you run an extreme/unreal.

Am I the only person who's completely checked out of this expansion? The gameplay feels like shit. The content is all over the place with no central rhyme or reason. And the community feels like it's literally become 99% people who just want to sit in Limsa between roulettes so they can collect their welfare relics just for showing up.

I never thought I'd say this, but goddamn do I wish we could go back to Shadowbringers.

Doesn't help that the last patch was underwhelming and every patch comes every 3 4 5 months now.

Also satan's pizza cutter that won the weapon contest looks like is gonna be tomestone gear.

I haven't been playing that much recently because I've finished most of the new and old content that I'm actually interested in. Whenever a new patch drops I'll just do the new MSQ quests and casual content and then play other games aside from times when my FC organises stuff I'm interested in. I did end up finding a new static, though, so if everyone gets along I'll have some more people to play with in the long run.

Nope. I know a lot of people who've been pretty cold on the expansion for a while now. Don't feel like there's as much new things to do and what there is isn't super grand. I'm personally still playing for a number of reasons but its slashed most of my groups down to a third what it once was.

Shit sucks but there's usually a big lull at least once per expansion. This one feels pretty nasty, up there with the issues some had with Stormblood.

I'm hoping that once XVI releases, Yoshida can return to focus back on FFXIV and the content cycle will speed up by at least one month. I don't like make excuses for companies, but I can believe that having a split team to work on two games at once would probably have a lot to blame for the pretty nasty content lull happening this expansion. Personally, it's still not as bad as Shadowbringers though (but that's because of the COVID lockdowns), because your only two options for content were Bozja (which in my opinion was repetitive and dull) and the raid cycle. Here in Endwalker, at least we have a bit more than that.

Tbh it'd be a lot better but they really screwed the pooch in a few key places.

Island Sanctuary is a waste of development time. It's literally just fetch quests and interacting with nodes. Maybe I'm not the target audience or something, but I can honestly say that "picking up item and taking it to NPC" is something I tolerate, not something I enjoy.

Variant is good and Criterion dungeons are some of the most fun content I've done in a while. Problem is, they fucked the rewards so badly so there's really no reason to re-run Criterion dungeons. Honestly, Criterion is hard enough that you could probably chuck some savage gear in the reward pool and give it a weekly cooldown.

Relics suck. They really do. I can understand the complaints in the past of "we want to have a variety of ways to get the materials for relics", and the response is just a massive overcorrection by making it you can get the item from the spare tomestones you probably have lying around. Not to mention, duty roulettes are the only decent way of getting tomestones for many, so that "wide variety of content" is really narrow.

Last savage tier was fun but a massive step down from Asphodelos. P5S was great, P6S was kinda easy once you knew the patterns, P7S sucked cause of the backloading, and P8S was back to being great as long as you partied with semi-competent people.

I don't have much experience with TOP personally, but from what I saw, it was rough. The fight kept bugging out during world-first prog and people had to disable their FC buffs so they wouldn't lost their buffs. And the fight is stacked with full-random mechanic rather than the TH/DPS approach you see in other fights.

Oh. And I actually forgot Eureka Orthos exists.

I remember how before it released there was a streamer called Stal who got herself all hyped up for it because when she's not doing hardcore raiding she enjoys casual games, but then a while later she appeared on Mogtalk to basically agree with the others that it's underwhelming. I'm inclined to agree but at least it's been a semi-passive source of materia I need for pentamelding.

Friend of mine also hyped up doing nothing but Island Sanctuary once it came out since she loves her some Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons/Rune Factory.

Then Island Sanctuaries dropped and she hardly touched hers whatsoever.

Think problem is when the whole island shit was announced, people thought it's gonna be like Stardew Valley/Harvest moon etc. I just check back to my island once a week to queue shit up until I run out of mats. I don't even know what do with the cowries anymore.

I've reached the point where cowries are just materia currency for me, like Vapewizard described.

I have been stockpiling cowries for the next patch in case I would need them for building shit or something I like. If not, I will have materia to sell for the raiders.

Still better than grinding DR 15 times, I don't mind doing fates.

Came back this week and wasn't aware of the ongoing network issues with ATT. Cannot get on during peak hours with ping under 150ms.

Finished ARR a few days ago. 3 key takeaways: Nanamo thinking democracy would work was hard to sit though. I was screaming "you naive idiot" internally every time she brought it up. Didn't think they'd off her off though so that was a good twist. Naming the company Crystal Braves should have earned Alphinaud a stabbing in the front too, Japanese cringe just hits different. And the Scions sacrificing themselves 2 by 2 was retarded considering Papalymo could have closed that door on the other side, Ysthola could have collapsed that roof a few meters away from them and then Minfilia just runs off because why not, especially when it was established that she's cant fight at all.

It was worse like two weeks ago. Literally my first time ever seeing an alliance raid vote to abandon because half the raid was getting 15s lag spikes.

It's weird. Things were pretty nice day 1 when I ran through everything new – sure, there were some retards but that's more or less expected out of day 1 running everything blind – but last night there was suddenly this notable influx of mouthy raidniggers when I was helping someone through the new tier. One "Legend" Mentor shitter started immediately shittalking another person for wearing full current crafted gear instead of wearing tomestone pants (I guess because the stat weights are better?) at the start of a P10 run, then proceeded to eat shit to every mechanic. Another Mentor crown started spamming a Twitter copypasta chat macro about the Axolotl mount after one single wipe of P12.

Like, I expect retards this early, but somehow the XIV playerbase manages to find a way to go above and beyond my expectations.
