wait what the fuck do you mean by cheese pizza

WHAT HAVE THOSE ANIMALS DONE TO CHEESE PIZZA? 🥺
You know, I was gonna run with this, but then I realized that they might've actually done things more horrid with pizza than using pineapple as a topping.

lol a medium in my ward went on sale because the owner went to another server, 50 bids and a shell fc of 3 level 10s won, glad that I already got my medium plot.

Looks like some drama with Rin.

Dunno if him getting busted for viewbotting was brought up on here, but there's also that going for him. :story:
When is that faggot not at the center of some kind of drama? Dude is a walking red flag and a lightning rod of this shit because he loves huffing his own farts and being the center of attention.

Summary of Drama:

This kid, an AST healer who started getting into doing savage an ultimates like a month ago, joined a static for TOP that had Rin and some of his dumb friends in it (most of whom are notorious for being pieces of shit). According to the AST, they'd been progging for like 3 weeks I think and that the static had already cycled through 10+ people within that time because they've been hyper analyzing people's FFLogs and if they aren't up to snuff, they're kicked out and replaced, rinse and repeat. Shit started to hit really the fan when Rin let his friend Dice Arisugawa join the static to be the AST's SGE co healer. It didn't end well.

Dice is a walking lump of human garbage who's well known for being a colossal faggot, a crybaby, and a cock sucking, parse padding obsessed dickhead who starts drama with everyone who even has a micron of contention with him, runs away to throw a tantrum and then demands that his friends fight his verbal battles for him because he's too much of a pussy to actually talk to the people he starts fights with to try to find some common ground. There are horror stories about him everywhere and he's blacklisted from raiding in Crystal because he's a general nightmare to deal with and just awful at the game in general besides with most of his achievements being gained from him riding off the coattails of more accomplished and better players than him. I'm digressing though.

During a downtime part of Phase 5 of TOP, the AST notices that Dice's MP is dipping super low and then watches him just deplete his MP entirely. This is because Dice is spamming GCD heals, mainly Eukrasian Diagnosis/Prognosis to overheal. Why? Because he wants to pad meters and make it seem like he's doing more to heal than the AST is so if they look at his logs, there will be the illusion that he is doing more healing than the AST is. The AST is noticing that his co healer is constantly at near 0 MP even during downtime. Dice is ESSENTIALLY forcing his co healer to solo heal while also attempting to make them look bad in the process. The AST tells Dice that they don't have to spam so much healing during parts of the fight where no damage is being done to the raid so that he'll have MP to do some actual healing when the damage starts coming in again. Dice tells him he's doing it for "safety", but after a wipe, Dice gets so tee'd off and baby rages, that he abruptly leaves their discord call and the party and then basically gives the leader of the static who is ALSO THEIR FRIEND, the ultimatum to keep either him or to sack the AST. Of course because they are friends, the AST was chosen to get the boot but not before Rin thought it was a good idea to gaslight the fuck out of the poor dude, who is extremely shaken and anxiety ridden from what just happened whilst trying to reason and explain himself. It's made even worse by the fact that Rin decided to do this on stream. Rin literally gaslit someone on stream before kicking them from his static.

Even though the only issue that AST brought up was Dice's mismanagement of his MP, the AST was lambasted by Rin and his buddies who looked at the logs, saw that he was using less GCD heals than Dice and then automatically concluded that the AST was putting more strain on Dice and that his MP was so low because he was making up for the AST's lack of healing. This isn't true because looking at the clip, everyone is topped off but Dice's MP continues to sink despite nothing happening. When the AST tried to defend himself, Rin and co basically would not let him get a word in, kept telling the kid to "stop yelling" despite them antagonizing him and provoking him and furiously did everything in their power to convince the AST that he wasn't pulling his weight, when in fact, if you look at the logs the opposite was true. The conclusion to all this is that Rin and his static were just fishing for whatever excuse to get rid of the AST in order to keep their friend who was threatening to leave them in. The AST is basically a victim of favoritism. He, a decent player was axed to keep in a factually worse player, just because that worst player happened to be friends with the static leader. The AST also got the added bonus of being gaslit in front of a large studio audience, queue the applause sign. Mmm...sweet, sweet trauma. Rin and his friends have fucked up this kid so bad, he's thinking about quitting raiding and or possibly the game altogether.

There's a clip out there of the actual gaslighting and it pissed a lot of people off and just made Rin even more hated by a chunk of the community.

Rin, it's not very nice of you to bully people and gaslight them, that's not very cash money and positive of you.

The conclusion:

Rin himself would go onto this kid's video and leave a comment on it, desperately trying to deflect blame off himself as if he wasn't recorded literally gaslighting someone. It just did the opposite effect. Instead of admitting he was wrong, he just further blamed the AST and everyone else, once again refusing to take accountability for his actions and once again proving to the world that underneath his facade of being a positive individual, he's really just a massive piece of shit.

Thus concludes another chapter in the story of Rin Karigani, a harrowing tale of a man(?) who convinced his toddler to be trans and then made a video about it to farm woke points, was part of a group of cheaters in TOP using zoom mods before Yoshi put a stop to that nonsense, attached his streams into hidden parts of websites to basically view bot because he knows less and less people are bothering to watch him, and now, gaslighting people on his stream because he both wanted to defend his piece of shit friend and is too fucking retarded to know how to read FFLogs properly.

Let me know if I missed anything.

It's crazy the amount of latitude this freakshow gets. That dude in the video was like "what can I say, he's Rin?" and folks I've talked to about this were excusing this shit, because he's so good at the game (lol.)

Rin is just a nasty piece of work all around. People shouldn't care about how good at the game he is, a flaming turd is still a flaming turd.

He's a massive baby that never wants to admit or accept when he's wrong but is always quick to point out the faults of others while trying to uphold his really thin veneer of being a good person. Even Arthars himself finds Rin's inability to reflect on his wrongdoing makes him someone you should avoid raiding with altogether because people need a raider who gets something done, not a crybaby who will argue with them when they are told they messed up. People like that don't get consistent clears, they just ruin groups. Especially if they're buddy buddy with fucking Dice Arisugawa, the infamous jackass who pays for clears and let's people pilot his account.

Edit:

I can't find the clip of Wave getting gaslit by Rin and co and I don't know if Rin deleted the VoD already but Xeems did a reaction video that had the clip in it. Here's the link to the video with the timestamp where the clip is played:

And here's Rin's attempt at damage control that just completely backfires on him and makes him out to look even more like a dickhead. In the clip he is still shown to still be playing with Dice and the comments section is riddled with general dislike for him:

There are such gems that are said by Rin here such as: "I still think Wave got done dirty." and "I will stand up for what I believe in."

Well yeah he did get done dirty, but did you stand up for him? No. You were one of the assholes who in fact did him dirty and we all know that what you really mean by standing up for what you believe in is that you believe in the fact that you are never wrong and can never do any wrong and rather than be an adult about something, you place blame on everyone and everything else, gaslight so fucking hard to try and convince people that you aren't wrong when you very clearly are all whilst trying to minimize your own part in the wrongdoing that takes place.

You are a piece of shit, Rin. If there is one good thing you have done for the FFXIV community, it is make us all universally unite just purely on how much we all dislike you.

Final addendum: Supposedly, according to some people, Rin made a response video to what happened with Wave...but it was deleted. I wonder why~

I don't know much about the law, but I don't think you can just legally declare something closed-source or copyrighted on the basis of a user statement. Like I can't just upload an original character on Deviantart and then claim it's copyrighted and sue people for taking it. I don't know if claiming something as closed-source is legal binding agreement for people, but I don't it would be considered a copyright application as well because I think there's a process where you have to legally register something as copyrighted material through a legal system. I don't think it would hold up to me I think this developer is 100% in the wrong and Nite did not do anything to warrant this.
This is a frequent point of confusion with open-source in general. When you open-source your code, you're not surrendering your copyright. Your copyright is still intact, the code is still your IP. What you're doing is saying, "this is my code and I'm licensing it to you under these terms" where the terms are designed to encourage sharing of the code. This is how the GPL and other copyleft licenses work - you provide the code under the GPL and if someone takes that code and attempts to distribute a modified version without sharing the source code, then they're in violation of the original license. Or in other words - GPL violation is just copyright infringement.

FOSS is a kind of hack of the system of copyright to protect the openness of codebases. It doesn't exist apart from copyright - it works because the original author retains their copyright and gets to choose how their software is used (including choosing how everyone downstream of them uses it).

Why was she in Ukraine anyway; her full-time job is online content creation, so just there for the lower cost of living or what?
Liberal American white woman obsessed with being not like the other girls. She grew up in the deep south iirc so living in Ukraine lets her live somewhere about as conservative as where she came from while still feeling cosmopolitan and shit. Also like most streamers she's a bit of a failure career-wise so she was probably an English teacher like every other overeducated burn-out in this society.

My biggest annoyance was her kvetching about gun violence on stream when she had to go back to the US. Like she was gonna get gunned down in the streets the second she got off the plane and ignoring the fact that she doesn't leave her house anyway so her odds of being in a mass shooting are a big fat 0.

Anyway, Zepla's a willing participant in the whole weird FFXIV alphabet bubble so she gets what she fucking deserves.

Thanks, I've been looking for a name for a new Lalafell alt I'm spinning up.

I can only hope this is what finally sets things over the edge and kills his streaming career for good. Dude is a fucking leech and e-begger. Maybe having to get a real job will kill all his enthusiasm to play this game and solve the Rin Karigani problem once and for all.

Also Dice is infamous on Crystal. I'm surprised they haven't jumped DCs and changed their name with how widely they're blacklisted.

He sometimes will use alts and he can only really get into raid by either being friends with static leaders or paying people gil to help carry him through stuff and for the mercs to pass on any loot so he can take it all.

Personally, I don't care if the group pulls one at a time; so long they avoid shitty deaths and know that their skills exist. My expectation for any public group is correspondingly near rock bottom, so it's rare that people actually turn out to be that bad. I'm betting a lot of you lot here places a higher premium on your time and react accordingly.
I don't put a higher premium on my time; as gaming is me fucking around, if I put a higher premium on my time, I'd be writing a book, or editing the five to six terrabytes of raw footage I have, or working a part-time job for extra money, or doing anything except pretending to be a female version of Guts (DRK for the win). My issue with groups isn't that I value myself that much, it's that I set myself as the bar, and if you can't fucking do equal to me, I will have a fucking problem when we continue to die to something that shouldn't be that difficult, because I don't hold myself in high regard (never cleared an Ultimate, I'm not big dick enough).

And I don't want to say "my group my rules" as the tank, but I am the one getting punched in the face, responsible for enemy facing, and ideally getting most of the heals. So when I see the "You have a nub in the party" warning, or the healer's MP is getting drained every fight, or other shit that gives me pause; I'll try to bring it up, or stop and bring up relevant boss mechanics before we go in, or shit like that. As much as people hate it, I like Aurum Vale (I play on Malboro for a reason, Bad Breath for life), but the first room and some later rooms have to be careful with pulls, otherwise you're gonna get swarmed. I don't mind a DSP doing an extra pull or two in the right situation, but there's a lot of braindead Sonic wannabes that ruin shit and insist it's the tank or heals fault for not moving fast enough. Well you just fucking wiped us nigger, now it's 30+ seconds to get back and pull again, was it worth it?

Further proof that Rin is a pile of human garbage:

Here's the clip where he RECOGNIZES that Dice has no MP despite nothing happening during the same pull Wave is in. Yes, Rin in fact notices Dice's mismanagement of his MP. Yet when the issue is brought up, he takes Dice's side and tells Wave that he's "straining" his co healer WHILE HE IS VERY AWARE OF DICE HAVING NO MP the majority of that section. Guess he conveniently forgot that little tidbit. The pussy was so scared of getting kicked from the static himself for defending Wave that he just joins the gaslight mob against him because doing the right thing and being a decent human being is too much to ask of the great Rin Karigani.

His excuse for why he didn't do the right thing was because he claims that Wave was "yelling" and that's reason enough for him to be gaslit EVEN THOUGH, Wave was right.

Rin-I would rather gaslight someone than admit I was wrong despite all the overwhelming evidence proving that I'm wrong- Karigani.

Any claim that he makes pretending to not know what the whole issue was is total malarky. He knew, he just pretended to not know.

Lmao

Rin makes no attempt to apologize for his behavior and only tries to pull excuse after excuse out of his ass as to why he was justified in gaslighting that poor boy.

Arthars mentioned that Rin is incapable of ever believing he is wrong. It doesn't matter how much proof you show him of his wrong doing, how many people call him out on what he does or says, he will fight with you over and over and over because his warped mind won't allow him to take accountability for his shitty behavior and if anything bad ever happens, it's everyone and everything else's fault, not his. You can't raid with someone like that because they will never improve and expect everyone else to adjust their strategies around what they want. He's basically not a team player who can't handle criticism and his existence alone brings issues to the group. It only takes a single bad apple to spoil the whole bunch.

While I'm not a huge fan of single pulling tanks, I do somewhat understand their hesitance due to you being at the mercy of who you matched with. Certain ARR dungeons (Aurum Vale, as Kheapathic brought up) should be handled with care and in Shb+, some pulls are really spicy to W2W e.g. the end of Mt. Gulg. I've recently leveled a few alt jobs (Astrologian, Paladin, Dark Knight this past week) through 70-80 and the amount of bad healers/tanks I've encountered in ShB dungeons is staggering. When I was playing Astrologian, it was a coin flip if I got a tank who used mits or not. And when I was playing tanks, it was often a struggle to double pull with every mit + invulnerability skill being used twice in the run. White Mages only spamming Cure 1, Astrologians with Benefic 1, etc. I have no doubt that some of these single pulling tanks got burned in the past and probably think it's not worth the risk.

It could just be PTSD from being new; but everytime I get The Vault, I always ask the healer how hard can we go; if they're not sure, two groups, because that place took me three different tries to get through for MSQ, and I don't want any repeats.

I think it's also worth noting that Dice has streamed using plugins such as combo timer and aoe plugins.

Arthars on Rin:

Arthars' assessment is interesting to me as I've known people like how he described Rin in this kind of dynamic where they have a take and they explain why that take is and they will argue that take without just giving up immediately if shotdown. Some people ime break to peer pressure easily and eventually just keep their head down to things to fall in line, and some just think they're right until they hopefully 🌈 realize they're wrong.

Sometimes they actually do compromise and get over themselves once things settle down a day or so later. This tends to hinge on if they can think to themselves and introspect their actions, or if they got a solid friend who can match their combativeness and tell them to stop being retarded. These types have their pluses sometimes, because the former type of person keeps arguments relatively at bay but rarely do they intend to actual fix a problem because they're so damn passive. The latter tends to just kick doors in and make the issue known which can maybe resolve it if the issue is actually relevant.

Rin's thing is, he has way too much on his side while being that way. He's big famous streamer man, he has his clique, and he has that attitude all at once. Which just sounds like a really dangerous combination. As usually people like this don't get all of that outside of e-celebs. Your random autist sperging tryhard who has an opinion that is potentially correct, but they're combative doesn't get that clique normally. Rin does have that though which is why this seems to have happened and escalated to this point, that and Rin is also siding with his friend at the same time which always creates bias.

Being in an e-celeb static just sounds like hell tbh, imagine having hundreds of people who can just side against you in an instant if streamer man says you're wrong and every dumb thing you might say is just broadcasted live. Keep me out of that shit, I'd rather deal with party finder randoms.

The name changes are most likely because he can't stop himself from being a problem, that in order to keep people from recognizing him and avoiding him, he changes his name so that it takes a bit for someone to catch on that he's the number 1 player to avoid in all of Crystal.

All second-half-of-expansion-dungeons-without-ilvl-sync are weird in roulettes because you'll get people who are powerleveling and not keeping their gear up to date (sometimes they won't even have full poetic gear). Vault and Bardam's are the ones that come to mind immediately as being major "do not multi-pull with randos" trap dungeons for me.

God Bardam's; the first two groups. You pull that group of 3 mobs or whatever it is, then some jack ass pulls the next pull of that big beefy thing and everything goes to shit and wipe. "Well, glad we got that one out of the way early."

Doesn't help that most of their name changes are anime twinks too.

The faggot can name change all he wants. All it takes is one dedicated individual to keep a link to his lodestone page. That does not change no matter how many name changes a mentally deficient lunatic tries to manage. I'd say he's better off starting over, but cows like him will make it very clear who and what he is afterwards.

Reminds me of Feiwong from FFXI, he was notorious for stealing high end accounts, changing their name and then attempting to use such account to get into a high end guild. He was so easy to spot because of his outrageous behavior. He'd always end up getting kicked out of the guild for said behavior and generally not knowing how to play his job at max level, followed by Fei's attempts to sabotage the group that wronged him, thus leading to a ban - then the cycle repeats. Good times.
