So me and the FC im in decided to do The Dancing Plague (Extreme) a few days ago and while it was fun it was my first time playing melee DPS with Reaper in an extreme trial and struggled alot trying to juggle the mechanics alongside doing the reaper rotation.

Any suggestions on how to better handle juggling mechanics with doing DPS stuff at the same time?

How does one get this wrong? I admittedly skim read and sometimes outright skip the cutscenes, but was it not explicitly stated multiple times that we are stronger/have a more put together soul BEFORE Ardbert joins with us because of the other WoL souls that must now be with us because of the previous rejoinings?

Or am I as retarded as this sperg?

You're not. Emet literally says that you've been rejoined 7 times because there have been 7 umbral calamities. Anyone with a brain and paying attention would also remember Emet's explanation about how the sundering worked and the Exarch's explanation on how rejoining works (at the beginning of the fucking expansion). Put 2 and 2 together and that one line basically tells you that all the original denizens of the source have regained 7 pieces of their soul (and also that 7 entire worlds have been destroyed along with billions of lives), thus making them somewhat more powerful than other shards because they are still just 1 small piece in comparison to their counterparts in the source who have "denser" souls. Another tell also is that during that one moment when Elidibus bad touches Graha in the crystarium, Eddie comments that he's "denser" than the others. This is because Graha is originally a denizen of the source. He is also 7 times rejoined (8 if you count the bonus from his paradox self from the apocalypse timeline merging with the version in the tower of the source). Explaining it here makes it sound more complicated than it is, but you're basically drip fed all of this throughout your playthrough unless you just skip the story entirely.

Side note: nothing bothers me more than people who rush through the story and not bother to pay attention to anything, only for them to bitch and moan and whine and complain that nothing makes any sense. Of course it doesn't make sense to you, you were too busy jerking chat off to pay attention. Don't complain about the story if you can't even do the basic task of paying attention to it. Neck yourselves.

It's literally impossible to miss this explanation because they give you power point presentations along with it, a la "here are some diagrams and pictures just in case you're too fucking retarded to understand words". Pyro just likes huffing his own farts and rather than pay attention to the actual lore of the game, he just likes making up stupid headcannons and then having an aneurysm when he's proven wrong.
 
Man all this lore autism really makes me want to play again. Might as well since the Christmas event is ongoing. Maybe I can make a wish and have my fc be alive again?

There's some traffic because of the moogle event and christmas event but it's break time until Janurary. You won't see much movement until the new patch drops.

In other news, I hear Zepla moved from Phoenix to Maduin.

Dopey more or less hits it on the head.

This sort of 'analysis' comes down to one of two things, usually.

1) Folks wanting to appear to be incredibly clever and smart and understanding of whatever narrative and are basically making a narrative reach in the slim chance they're right and look like a genius.

2) Dumb fan theorizing and a desire to make their 'headcanon' shit the right one. I don't think I really need to elaborate on this, but it's either from folks not understanding the story, fixating on one aspect and blowing it out of proportion (Eden raids or how folks hate Lolorito) or just being a fucking retard.

Pyro is someone who doesn't really do a critical reading (ie, poring over things with an analytical eye.) He just arbitrarily decides what is/isn't important, postulates dumb fucking theories because he 'understands narrative' and then has a tantrum when things (people who can read pointing things out, game going in a different direction, etc.) don't go his way.

I can save them a shitload of time and effort, FF14 fans thirst over literally anything that exists in the game and might exist within it. This is like making a report on other well known facts like water being wet and the journalist's parents not having any respect for them.
 
Yoshi P probably shouldn't have done that interview with Rich and Asmongold, in fact, interviewing streamers in general should be avoided, but hey, at least they didn't name a character after Rich
 
Okay so I read that whole thing. Dunno if it's true or not but I have to point out some things that I thought were hilarious.

1.) Despite repeating behaviors she didn't like, she kept going back to see him. I dunno about you, but after the 2nd or 3rd time, I wouldn't even bother to ever see them in person. Maybe a powerlevel, but I've had male friends pester me for sex before. Male friends that I've known for years. Wanna know what my usual response is? "No, fuck off. Ask me again and we're never gonna see or speak to each other again., this is my last warning, fag." and I proceed to not see or talk to them in a loooooong time, period. That gets the point across if just flat out saying no doesn't. Sometimes you need to follow through on threats to things that make you uncomfortable or they'll think they can just walk all over you. This applies to every situation, not just weird mustache dudes being sex pests.

2.) If I'm in a relationship with someone and my male friend won't shut the fuck up about wanting to fuck me, that's a pretty big tell that I should stop being their friend and should cut off all contact with them immediately. I don't care how long we've been friends for. I have a limit, a moral compass, and self respect. Don't bother trying to suicide bait, gaslight, or guilt trip me because it will not work. Yes, I have told people to go ahead and kill themselves because I don't care. If you're such a shitty person, that your aim was to purposefully try to emotionally manipulate me and make me feel bad, than you might as well kill yourself. The world would be better off.

3.) According to her, he rolls her over and just put himself in. She makes no mention of trying to fight against him, implying that she got so tired of him bothering her that she just gave up and laid there like a dead fish while he raped her for a literal minute. It's very hard for a dude to just "put himself in". If you're not wet enough, he'd have to use considerable force to get in and even if he did, it would be painful chaffing for both parties. No clue why she would just let all that happen if him being a weirdo for her bothered her so much.

Just some thoughts that popped up about some details that bothered me while reading. I guess I just find it amusing that something like that just happens despite several warning signs and apparent lack of common sense the victim has. Rape is a serious issue and is no laughing matter when it happens, but some of these stories sound like a fucking comedy fever dream.

I liked that interview personally irregardless of Rich being an apparent rapist and Asmongoloid effectively rage quitting from 14 because chat bullied him too hard for reacting to bullshit for 6 fucking hours before playing 14 for maybe 2 hours max. Just so he could go back and play Lost Ark, or New World, or whatever other shit he's playing right now.

It was a neat perspective to hear three guys, one of which is extremely involved in the industry obviously, just talk about video games instead of the interview sounding like every other interview ever where it is all the same shit about what is in the patch/expansion or retarded shit like "So when can housing be fixed?" or "Can we have more unisex clothing?" that might as well be non-questions. Even FFXIV centric players who get in with Yoshi only have maybe half their questions be worthwhile and the other half are stock shit or just nonsense. It felt like something of a genuine conversation as opposed to corporate bullshit stock responses that frankly most of Yoshi's interviews are these days, where the only thing special about them is Yoshi will actually recite a 2-3 page essay to answer a question sometimes.

Yeah, there's a common misconception I've noticed among people who are incels and people who e-celebs like Rich here. Sex is not usually something that's requested during relationships. I know this because I'm dating myself not to powerlevel too hard, but women think men who ask or beg for sex are pathetic. Vice versa I get irked when women ask me to do ERP with them in game or ask me for dick pics. I don't fucking know you, and I already have gf IRL thank you.
