I've seen Yoshi-P played the Island Sanctuary, it looks like WoW garrisons with Animal Crossing music, but they said they won't forget it and provide updates to it every 2 patches.

The shoulderpads and proportions aren't nearly fucked enough for it to look like WoW armor, it also doesn't look like it's from a completely different game than the set that came right before it, so it REALLY can't be WoW armor.

Fuckhuge pauldrons aside, it still has similarities to some of the higher end armor sets one might find in WoW, except designed more around XIV proportions.

I never said they were EXACTLY alike. I just said it was adjacent.
 
New stuff looks good. Looking forward to criterion dungeons because god knows this game needs more variety in its endgame content.

From what it sounds like, most of the stuff for island sanctuary won't do anything outside of it. No mats or gear or anything. So it's already better than WoW garrisons by virtue of the fact that it's not going to nuke the economy from orbit.

TL;DR on faggy as shit drama (atleast what i understood, i skimmed halfway through), fags and trannies were inspired to start naming names and apparently theres one central group that has been doing muh harassment. That initial zeal of ratting out included some people who were innocent and had to be cleared because discord gay ops were forming and making the autism flow even harder, apparently this one group also started their own list and started gay-opping individuals in order to just get more shit out there, all in all, it seems like they're firing at anything they can hit with vauge as shit accusations of homo-trans-whatever the fuck-phobia

the google drive included some really faggy as shit redacted twitter and discord DM screenshots that are seeminlgy "x was mean to me and bullied me on discord", ive attached the zip they provided below just for shits and giggles

and for another funny, have a random autist i saw being retweeted by the inital nigger that was making all of this shit that i found funny

I swear FF14 attracts a unique brand of autism I don't see often in other games. The only game that comes close is the Sims community but they're also something special.

Every MMO is like this as anyone can just join in, no matter your gameplay style.
Sadly the very vocal minority will always be fucking dumb and retarded till the point where everyone knows and laughs about their autism.
WOW has the same issue, however due to WOW's crippling toxicity problem, most of them get bullied away.

I actually prefer the way WoW handled things. It was toxic as fuck, but I'd much rather get called a nigger for letting some idiot die during a pull vs letting this sort of embarrassing degenerate bullshit color the game's community.
We need a middle ground. Not so toxic that it drives everyone away, but toxic enough to drive these people away, or at least underground so that they hide their shame.

I feel like I'm turning into one of those 2nd Edition AD&D grognards, but I do feel that other games were good at stamping out that sort of bullshit and confining it.

This game certainly has an air of reveling/basking in mundaneness where it seems to be celebrated, to the point where non-"toxic" efforts to encourage better play are stamped out on that I haven't seen elsewhere. Plus, it's mixed with a level of weird sexual fetishness that also tended to be pretty confined (eg, 1 area in 1 server in WoW...Goldshire on Moon Guard) or were routinely mocked for it.

The thing is, I don't think that they're a vocal minority, in the sense that they are a very small segment of the game's population. If I were to guess, I'd say they're like a quarter to a third of the game's playerbase, with casual MMO fans making up another third or so, raid trannies making like 5% and casual FF fans/free trial explorers making up the last segment.

This is borne out with the sheer number of folks you see hanging around Limsa/wherever with the latest glamor or mount items, IMO.

That middle ground was kinda sorta in place back during the early 2.x days where GM intervention for really small slights wasn't quite so prevalent.

At least, I can say from firsthand experience that there was a time where myself and a few others could safely either spam a handful of silly yet demeaning chat macros whenever a group was blatantly fucking up or talk shit to hyper-autistic tryhards sperging over a few fuckups, and the worst we'd get in response is either passive-aggressive silence or mild salt, and we never once caught a GM gaol over it.

Yeaaaah the GMs being ready to blast you into the bone-zone for telling someone they're playing like ass is a pretty big concern. Too far in one direction yet it also means less butt-flustered autists going on about muh-meta.

That's why people are so passive aggressive and tend to talk shit behind closed doors. People know they can't say things openly, so in turn it's resulted in the community turning very catty.
