I'm sorry but I just can't fucking stand this furry shit jump scaring me in my news feed. WHY are they a playable race? WHY are they getting so much focus? Ffs they're just so goddamn ugly...
TBF you can make any FFXIV race look ugly with the right garish options or with mods, most of the fem hroths ive seen in the wild have been passable to sensible so far
knowing asians, it could've been worse

Man, Frontlines on controller is a nightmare. My only saving grace is that everything is so chaotic I can get lost in the mess. Doesn’t change my horrible ratio, though.

Coming back to FFXIV after a year + long sabbatical and I heard Black Mage got changed. How bad's the damage?

Apparently not too bad, but it's taking a backseat to Pictomancer, which is ultra-cracked at the moment.

Whether that means potency adjustments upwards for BLM or down for Picto remains to be seen, but something is coming.

BLM mains are seething at PCT players because they have support moves and do way more damage than them.

DeadWalk has to be the worst fucking dungeon ive ever ran, Fuck whoever designed that piece of shit first and second boss.
Actually really enjoyed both post msq dungeons. Barrel tender was a dickhead the first time I fought him, but once I finally noticed there was a non-blooming cactus he was just a fun thing to watch catch newbies. Second boss was just a solid boss, and the third boss was pure fun.

Leonogg… is a massive dick. Not looking forward to casting through that. The second boss is nowhere near that hard, he’s just the bane of sleepy runs. And Hades as a blanket ghost clown that makes ghostbuster references just puts a goofy smile on my face every time I see it. …speaking of, guess it’s open season on using SHB animation rigs? Saw a few others (last bosses of 95 and 99 dungeons)

People asked for harder content and now that they have it, suddenly they realize it's not what they wanted after all.

"You think you do, but you really don't" moment.

Personally I like how much harder the regular dungeons are. They're a treat to heal through.

Here is my little collection of the Wuk Lamat and Koana VA as well as English Localization lead tweets and some interesting oddities. Enjoy.

I was going to do a big old effortpost about how much worse Black Mage feels, especially at low level content. However, one of my biggest gripes literally got fixed overnight and now Umbral Soul is acquired at a lower level. Unfortunately, that was literally the only change for Black Mage and it still does less damage than Pictomancer, which also got zero changes this patch.

I feel your pain.

I picked up MNK for the expansion and was really enjoying it. The only main gripe was that the AOE potencies weren't accounted for properly (I think it was something really stupid like needing 5 mobs to be a gain).

And they just reworked the stacks of beast fury so that the core rotation became a hell of a lot more cookie-cutter.

So, all of the Arcadion bosses are furries with an Elon Musk brain chip, who tend to retire before the age of 20, because WHAT A TWIST! The fursuits are actually killing them, and they're sent to the farm. The fights themselves are ok, I guess. Some Simon Says here and there, the left/right/in/out stuff, and the adds from ghost dungeon are back, so that's fun.

Less furries, more fighting game characters monsterised. Round 3 is extremely Akuma in appearance, for example, and round 1's music is so aggressively arms-like, I love it.

Giving every raid boss their own theme was great, too. Really helped get into the theme.

Looking forward to Shadowstride and Trajectory ACTUALLY DOING SOMETHING besides leaving me standing around awkwardly for a few seconds

You're "not going to get into it" because you can't actually justify it. But speaking your truth is gonna lose you work, isn't it?
What are you talking about? I one-hundred-percent agree that these two are at the heart of dawntrail's western release.

And it's many, many woes.
