Why yes I love it when I'm trying to get my roulettes done and the tank refuses to turn their stance on all the way up to *and including* the first boss, completely ignoring all other players telling them to please use defiance, or asking if they are reading chat, or any interaction that isn't bopping things with their axe.

My daily dose of "fuck the players in this game" aside, I forgot to link this thread the crown jewel of JoCat cringe (it is, surprisingly, not the troon charity stream announcement, or the house video), behold :

Hes had worse, he has a locked NSFW account that seemingly used to be public, you can find shit he comissioned on sites like Rule34, (its all porn of his channel char, not his FFXIV one) i couldnt find it but he also at some point comissioned an animation of him getting "dommed" by Merylwyb or whatever the fuck.

Still, with the coomerism and being a "cis ally" with degenerate tendencie, i give it atleast 2 years before he gets found out to have bad touched an autist or some shit

More bullshit raid drama, this time from a fight that is as old as Stormblood.

tl;dr: Retard gets carried through UCOB, says he'll pay 18mil each for a 7 man carry, gets his clear while floor tanking, logs off, and then name changes to try and hide.

Because this tactic sucks ass due to how the lodestone works, people find him anyway and fuck with him and his FC to get the money. The FC leader talks to these people about what happened and later reports that this scammer gets kicked. He also gets reported by Square Enix for scamming and a GM does make contact with someone to talk to them about what happened. No idea if that went anywhere.

Someone goes way out of there way to get the money and gets paid. Everyone else gets told he'll get the money later (aka RMT it) and this is clearly RMT because there's screencaps of him pretty much saying he ain't no broke ass bitch and can get as many ultimate weapons and boosted accounts that he needs so these people trying to get him to pay can get fucked. Which he does try to get a TEA weapon, but because he's a known scammer people fuck with him instead.

The scammer later says he bought a new account (yet tied it to his lodestone so you can just find it again) and he has so many ultimate weapons now that he bought.

Briefer tl;dr: Some retard with a credit card tries to buy his way to ultimate raider drip, is actually a broke ass bitch and doesn't pay what he owe and gets kicked from FC and is now a known scammer because he couldn't pay 9 bucks each for 7 people for his ultimate clear but will pay for a boosted account instead out of spite.

Bald man take for anyone that cares.

 
MMO Theft/Fraud cases always make me laugh. Square should go ahead and find a way to do an in game trust/escrow for unskilled people who want clears; do it like a bounty board as well. If people are gonna do shit, and skimping out on your debt is actionable by the GMs, may as well implement something to make it safer.

The five minute rule really does bite. I normally initiate a votekick and then if it fails bounce, but it does blow to suffer through five minutes of sheer torture.

Remember Yoshi P got scammed out of a shit ton of MMO bucks more then 20 years ago when he played Ultima Online, this man knows what is going on and what these people went through. Therefore he will likely personally decapitate this broke ass bitch with his katana for not paying what he owes as opposed to buying RMT.

To be serious though, I presume they don't want to more publicly endorse this stuff because it frankly just looks tacky and lame when the developers appear like they are openly encouraging this. It is one thing to just let it exist as some public request where players can do what they want with their in-game monopoly money, as opposed to making systems for it that imply public endorsement of the practice which can also encourage RMT too. It just seems like more headache then its worth.

True, I didn't think of that. Just had a lot of unnecessary drama and hate and shit in my WoW days; guild, dungeon, and personal from playing a Mage and how people expect certain things just because of the class you play. It got so bad there were times GMs would tell people to be more careful/discerning about who they play with; and figure something that'd help alleviate the load on them could be a benefit. But you're right, anything that seems to propagate the changing of gil in that manner would undoubtedly lead to more gil buying.

Tbh I don't feel bad that those guys were scammed. They asked for it by being naive enough to believe that person wasn't going to. There's more productive things you could do with your time than obsess over fake currency in a fucking game. Especially if earning that currency requires dealing with shady people.

It's the same when people join lootmaster parties and expect that the leader isn't going to just auto loot themselves what they want and then high tail it the fuck out. Are people honestly this fucking stupid? How trusting are they of strangers in general? "Oh this is a game, surely no one would try to fuck me over here."

If you honestly think and believe that, you are absolutely both retarded and delusional. Maybe getting the shirt pulled over their stupid faces will help them think twice about willfully wasting their time for a complete stranger who was obviously trying to scam them from the get-go.

Funny story, I showed my gf that and she actually recognized him as JoCat and she said, “Wait, I thought that guy was gay.” I said no and she just made a weird look and went back to what she was doing.
