According to a comment on Filian's subreddit, her main clipper Swiika is apparently stating that clippers who clip reactions to Filian being gone can get paid to do it officially. So it's 100% a marketing move.

She said that she does weekly business meetings in her clipper discord. I never joined it to confirm, but I wonder whether these have continued throughout the hiatus lol. Probably not, it would ruin the ARG. Gave her a break from having to speak to the people clipping her for sub-minimum wage, though.

According to Kirsche, she believes that Fillian pays something like a dollar per 1000 views on a clip.

Which isn't so bad.

The context is that Togi mentioned, on Financial Audit, he paid thirty clippers up to 20k each a month.
 
I don't think they're accurate, but there are rumors that she's on hiatus because she got pregnant.

How likely is that?

Very likely. I predict that the hiatus will be exactly 9 months, she comes back markedly less athletic, and has slip-ups like "I was island hopping in The Philippines with my fianc- I mean my manager."

I mean it's certainly not impossible, the sheer amount of time she's been gone can only really be explained by that, some other major life event (taking care of a dying family member or something), or that she just loved finally having a vacation and decided to extend it by half a year. I don't really buy that she took all this time off purely for a rebrand.
 
Has anyone considered she was just moving apartments or possibly buying a house and the house purchase or move in got delayed for some reason?
A long distance relocation (voluntary, not ICE enforced like ChaCha said) can have any number of issues such as a difficulty in replacing lost or broken equipment, paperwork issues/delays setting up a business in a new state, finding out that your preferred stream time is the same schedule your upstairs neighbor's elephant likes to take his tap-dancing lessons, a home inspector finding a huge problem in a house you plan to purchase, loan delays, etc.
Knowing Filian, maybe she set her mail on fire again and didn't get it out out in time this time.

A strong contenderfor the delay would also be that the commisioned artist for her new OC model flaked out and it isn't ready. Anyone who follows Kirsche knows the headache she's gone through trying to get a new model.

AFAIK the legal thing got cleared up unless I'm confusing that with Bungie's Marathon art theft, and maybe a requirement of the settlement was nuking old content.
