But seriously, i was sceptical at first but 2xko is off to a good start. The gameplay is tight, if you can live with the relatively long matches. It's easy to confirm into huge combos off everything and run bullshit offense from that, but i loved DNF Duel so this is right up my alley.
 
A rerelease of Kizuna Encounter, sort of obscure old SNK fighting game and sequel to equally obscure SNK fighting game Savage Reign (if you played KOF XI, you may know of it), just dropped on Steam today. And it's on sale.

Man, I wish I weren't budgeting this month. Will wait for the next since even at the normal price, it's pretty cheap.

But alas, this is very nice.

I do, I got it from a woke jew for triggering libtards. Speaking of which, fuck that woke game. I do like long matches though, seems to imply less cheap bullshit occurs.

Since it's a Riot Game, does it also have the Chink spyware they dub as an "anti-cheat" in Vanguard that they also use in League of Legends and VALORANT?
 
I tried out DoA 5 and 6, though I guess Itagaki wasn't involved in those so its not exactly honoring his memory. From hearsay, his preferred DoA 4 which wasn't liked competitively for similar reasons to T8 so maybe I'll try that once/if Tekken fixes itself.

Both were pretty fun, though I'd say 5 seems a bit better without meter or however the fatal system works alongside more characters. Holds seem neat, and seems like an interesting way to prevent combos. Almost reminds me of Killer Instinct, though I guess that's mid combo rather than the start.

I'm not a fan of the way you break out of stuns like in Virtua Fighter, namely rapidly mash directions as fast as you can. I prefer Tekken stuns where its still a reaction check but you just hold one direction rather than flailing, though they got removed from T8 so that middle ground is gone now. Admittedly might just be a skill issue or just because I'm using leverless. Also not sure how to feel about what seems like set max combo damage for combos, probably a good thing but it just feels weird.

At least from a surface view, seems like a pretty neat series.
 
I'm not really a fan of 3d fighters except for DoA. I played 2 on the Dreamcast and I really liked that one. These days I have 5 and 6. I prefer 5. These games have gotten almost embarrassingly pervy though, lol.

Just a reminder that with DOA5 they added a jiggle physics meter.

I remember turning that shit off especially with how it also applies to the creepy lesbo bait pedo pleasing loli. Yuck.
 
Huh. Well I certainly learned something today. Never toggked with it myself so I may have forgotten about it

Not that it matters anymore because DOA as a fighting game is dead and not alive in a ditch.

Would you look at that! It's the Big Man himself. I'm glad to see that SNK occasionally remembers AOF exists outside Ryo, Yuri, King, and Robert. RIP Takuma. Actually, RIP Kasumi and Ryuhaku too. Justice for Eiji.
