Oh that's gay and cringe. That said, I almost want to be optimistic and say it's probably just the FGC and tourney fags not knowing how to enjoy something without EVO or whatever the hell those things are called.
Also completely random but what does Christiano have to do with that? Isn't he a soccer player? What? Is this another situation like "Brian Cox explains the lore of Tekken, sponsored by BaMco"?

I was really looking forward to this game. I've been a huge fan of the FF franchise since I bought the OG Fatal Fury for my Neo Geo back in July of 92. I've got all the Neo Geo versions now on my PS4 pro... I fucking love these games. If they include a soccer (ahem...football) fag in my favorite Fighting game franchise... fuck'em, I'm out.
Which is kind of ironic since after not having played an MK game since 4, I bought MK11 almost entirely based on the inclusion of Rambo. I thought he could fit in with that world, and I'm glad I bought it...mostly. I do understand the frustration MK fans have of the franchise being clogged with "guests", simply for marketing purposes, rather than old favorites.
Isn't SNK currently owned by the Saudis? And doesn't Christiano play for an Arab team? I guess this is how that came about.

Granted they put WWE people (Cena, Rock and Becky Lynch) in the KOF mobile game but that was also a faggy mobile game. I highly doubt they are going to put Chrissy in this game that has been hyped and greatly anticipated for years.
Not to mention the characters people would like to see back from the first Garou. I'm still waiting for Freeman and honestly the Kim twins too.
Unless they want to buttfuck their fanbase, that is.
I am a fan of Rambo's series too but I can't really excuse him being there because MK11 had a bunch of guests and the number increases more and more with each release. I even broke down the pattern in the MK thread.
Yes. It's not the first time they catered to the Saudis either. But it was generally inoffensive and I don't mind it.
Now this on the other hand...I will be needing more info before I go into hope or despair mode. But my money is on promotion and sponsorship stuff.

At most would assume he'd be a special voice actor similar to Ronda Rousey as Sonya in MK, but that was already pushing it like the other guest voice actor threads we've been getting in FGs.
This really shouldn't be the way to go about it so early since they still haven't revealed the whole roster which is more important to me over rl celebs in the game regardless of fame.
honestly SNK's catalog is so big I'd rather them have guest from their other franchises be in Fatal Fury just like they do KOF itself. At least itd be more natural

Ronda was so shit, it's not even funny. They somehow topped it in MK1.
That aside, I assume it'll only apply to the English dub unless they are gonna teach the man to speak Japanese. I doubt SNK would go that far.
So if they put him in and get a seasoned voice actor to dub him, wouldn't that just defeat the purpose of his inclusion?

It's one of those companies that likes to do crossovers with itself minus the occasional old Capcom mix.
SamSho '19 was a special case in the guest department and even then 1 of them was their very own character. But they haven't gone down that route since AFAIK and the mobile game doesn't count.

Don't they also own IP's from now defunked companies? Like the shit related to ADK like World Heroes and Aggressors of Dark Kombat.
They don't even need to work with another company, they could make their own giant crossover game if they wanted to. I mean they've done it before with SNK Gals/Heroines

Every soccer Club plays for the Saudis, every fighting game pro plays for the saudis, every martial artist Fights for the Saudis. Their money is literally everywhere, which is mostly why everything turns into gentryfied platforms for sports betting.

SNK pretty much has their hand in near every poverty game to do their own crossovers and the closest that came to them using all of it is in Neo Geo Battle Coliseum which already had a few of those defunked characters in it. Even Maximum Impact had a Fighter's History guest character early on.
While the focus is Fatal Fury beyond that they could utilize plenty of properties beyond being just background cameos for years. With them working on a new Samsho they could find ways to mesh the Last Blade franchise in it since they love to keep Hibiki around.
