Those Capcom collections are a nice thing to have, but I rather see a Soul Calibur collection. With proper online. Otherwise, curious to see how and if Capcom will change the balance in SF6. Preparing for the nonsensical Zangief nerfs that are coming. Wanted to jump into Tekken 8 again but didn't have the time to relearn everything and honestly no character really speaks to me. Interested in Fatal Fury, but that is still way off in the distance.

I'm not holding my breath but I'd be so on board with that. I'd be able to play SC3 when I'm just in the mood to fuck around, play SC2 when I wanna experience some jank kino, and SC5 when I wanna play the closest SC had ever been to being balanced.

:looks at the asking price for a used Dreamcast on fucking craiglist, let alone ebay:

Imagine paying 50 to play MvC2.
I haven't been keeping up with this, will there even be any improvements to this port? The 360/PS3 ports are the best way to play the game and they were what, 10-15$? I still have my copy, even tho it's been taken down years ago.
Obligatory "Imagine paying for censorship" comment.

I'm a sucker for these games so I'll be forking over my shekels for this soon. Primarily to play both Marvel Superheroes and The Punisher, 2 of my faves of the era. The $50 tag is a bit dissapointing. I was hoping for $40, but I really, really love those 2 games. I just hope the censorship isn't to bad, lol.

UNI2 is 50% off and I'm morally obligated to shill it

I know the majority of people on this thread don't play anime fighters, but I will make my shot regardless.
I will vouch for this shilling. Game is very fun, lots of mechanics for offense, lots of mechanics for defense.
You can string together normals in any order of strength making for some interesting sequences and combos.
You have short range hops you activate by hitting forward + D, great for quick approaches in neutral, or running up to people and blowing up delayed throw tech.
You have back + D for shield, which if you use to block aerial normals giving you a ton of frame advantage, so much in fact that you can even punish some jump ins.
The game embraces some option selects and even has them as part of the tutorial.
All of the game's combo trials are actually practical, and in many cases are actually optimal routes (assuming that it's not a new DLC character)

I could add many more pros to the list because I'm a shameless lover of this game. I will say as some downsides:
- You can be stuck on defense for a long time, and because of the way frame data works it can be hard to tell when its your chance to counterpoke
- You can be stuck in combos for longer times. Common among anime fighters, but some players don't like that and I get it.

I think I'm just going to wait till this one goes on sale.
The CFC2 is the one I really want anyway.

I saw on the collection’s website that a number of stages have been altered in MVC1. Can someone please go into what those changes are? I’m looking online and I haven’t seen anything.

I spent so many quarters at the arcade between almost all of these. Punisher isn’t one that was at my local Tilt. But the rest, were there. Also rented x-men vs street fighter on PSX.

And of course, i’ve been wanting these as a collection and plopped down $50 on Steam for these.

I bought the first CFC used for $9 at GameStop of all places.
I'm probably going to wait for a sale if I bother with the MvC collection, I really only care about XvSF there and I can play that elsewhere for now.
I'll probably pick up CFC2 after a minute though, that one really is the best of the three as far as the games go.

Something tells me you won't be able to find CFC2 used at a pawn shop like the first one. It has some of the most scalped games of all time. With that said if it's true they censored stuff there's a chance they might leave this alone.

Perhaps, I mean it's not like I don't have other ways of playing any of this, I just like showing my approval when a company does something I like.
Buying this just puts all the games together in one convenient place instead of tweaking emus or dragging out old consoles.
