All attention is on Black Mary and for good reason, it's an Obamanation compared to the real Blue Mary. Worth pointing out also that the Thai fighter to Mary's left also got whitewashed.

OK where does it say this is Blue Mary lmao. You guys are overreacting like caricatures at this point.

I don't really care about SvCChaos. It was an ok game but not too engaging or fun to play. Happy for its fans though.

It is curious that they chose a black lady for it but I don't think it's because they are going "THIS IS BLUE MARY AKA MARY RYAN, THE CANONICAL FATAL FURY CHARACTER. SHE'S A STRONK BLACK WOMYN NOW! DEAL WITH IT, CHUDS! SHE'S NOG MARY! WE WUZ REAL BOUTS N' SHIT!"

Capcom is a lot of things but not that. Most certainly not with a character that isn't even theirs.

I've said SNK is mellow but I'm willing to bet they wouldn't stand for that so they are mellow to a fault.

Considering the game also gave us a Hagger and Sodom nod with costumes but clearly not meant to be them, I suspect it's the same case with Mary.

But I will say that it looks incredibly uncanny. And that's not because it's a black woman. The game just has a bad case of uncanny valley in its facial models.
 
I'm sure it's just a shout-out and not direct, I don't think Capcom or SNK are on Rocksteadys level (yet).

It looks like a nigger'd blue mary, thus black mary. I didn't say that was what they were doing to the actual blue mary character, just making a point about how japan gives nigger characters caucazoid features to make them more palatable to asian audiences. God bless china by the way.

It's not a good shout out though (Blackrock Fighter's models absolutely suck). I don't blame anyone for reeeeing over the "Easter Egg" because Crapcom is all into that DEI shit with Arcsys, Bamco, and NRS. Speaking of Arcsys, I heard there was some controversy or metoo shit going on in Tranny Gear post Evo. It probably invovled the wokest faggots in the fgc.

The tranny Bridget shit was just the beginning I see. ArcSys also made two fighting game spinoffs for Granblue Fantasy which has an actual tranny in it and they included it in both rosters.

I heard Grand Blue had some woke shit a year or two ago, so hearing that made me skip it. I'm talking about some metoo-type controversy where some faggot got metoo'd by another faggot over something. Mike Hollow talked about it, but I'm not sitting through a 5+ hour stream to listen to fgc drama.

Only started playing gbfvr recently so no idea if it’s brought up there, but in the og browser/mobile game Cag has offered to make a female body for Ladiva with alchemy, but I guess Ladiva is one of those modern troons you occasionally come across that don’t experience gender dysphoria so they declined.

Though now apparently Cag talks about having to give up some of her humanity to get her—using she/her pronouns because she is literally anatomically female now—body, so maybe we’ll get a detrans story arc. If that happened I might actually bother reading a story event that’s not “…and you” for the first time. Also, she might be skinwalking her dead sister.
If you ignore the trans stuff she’s actually a fun character because she’s unashamedly an egotistical bitch

Well, I don’t know if they’d be considered transgender because apparently they created their body themselves and present as female otherwise, but people theorize that Satyr (not in currently in any of the fighting games as far as I know) actually has a dick based on a vague conversation from one of the stories. The playerbase just usually half-jokingly/half-seriously refers to them as a futa.
