Until Feminists clean house, Erin Reed and Riley Dennis' Feminisms are still Feminism. How'd you let men in dresses subvert your movement? How'd that happen?

This is kind of where I'm at as well--I'm pretty sold on the 4B mentality.

I've never had much interest in men to begin with, so I don't want to speak on behalf of those who would (in an ideal world) be interested in dating/marrying/starting families with men. But what I would like to ask is--for straight women who've sort of shed the rose-tinted lenses, and are aware of the harm that men can and have inflicted on women (on an individual as well as institutional/societal level), but are not separatist despite that: what's your motivation or reasoning behind it? If you have personally had bad experiences with men, or you feel you've been unlucky in finding one to settle down with, I'm especially interested in hearing from your perspective.

I can agree to disagree on racial prejudice to acknowledge that white males, having greater privilege than other races of males, have the highest potential for hazard. If they control most of the power and capital in the world, then it stands to reason they are more fearsome than the blacks, asians, indians, or Hispanics. But mostly I just think all races of men are chauvinist and exploitative, and white men are the greatest threat.

Why are you here acting like you’re going to debate about feminism when you don’t even have a “browsed the wikipedia page while waiting at a stop light” level of knowledge on the topic?

Do you think people get like, kicked out of the united sisterhood of feminists organization? How exactly do you think that works in the one and only singular monolithe of “feminism”?

I think, like, the Feminists in power say woman includes men in dresses. If Feminism is for women, you won't get anywhere until you define men out of woman again.

I shed the glasses when I really could grasp right from wrong.
But that’s the thing, I know that men can do harm. Very much so.
But I also see just how much work and discipline it takes for humans to support civilization. It’s a massive effort from men and women. We wouldn’t be here today living our lives without both of them working together.

What has made me want to settle down with a man is because I feel a great deal of motivation to influence future generations. I want to be able to be an example of what healthy relationships are. I think change really starts from the practices in a home. I don’t want to live in fear of the patriarchy when I can actively change something in my own way. When you do have a balanced relationship, there is so much future good to society.

You may have slightly misunderstood what I said when I mentioned a separatist "wave" though--I'm not suggesting that all women on Earth remove themselves from society and live by themselves on a Pacific island somewhere. Waves can be small too: they can be a woman and all her female friends, they can be a small community, they can be scattered branches throughout a larger area--all without the women in that wave constituting a majority of the female population.

I would say you do have rose lenses on still--at least one, if not both. What you're describing is noble, but also pretty optimistic.

Separatism, in my opinion, is a means not of "dismantling" the patriarchy but of women protecting themselves from it. Patriarchy is too old and ingrained to be deconstructed, or even meaningfully altered, without change at the government level. If, hypothetically, the world was mostly made up of harmonious heterosexual marriages such as you want for yourself, it would be a different place entirely. And if we were living in such a place, then it would be more feasible for more such relationships to continue throughout later generations. But the world is not that place. A gazelle doesn't keep its family from getting hunted down by living in the lions' den.

Yes, what I’m doing is prioritizing what’s best for my personal self interests. Protecting men from chopping off their own dicks is low on that list. If I was in power chopping off dicks would be mandatory anyway.
