So that's why Chris has been buying Skylanders Amiibos on Ebay. The PS4 has done a great job of trolling him lately - first not accepting his PS3 save data and now this.

The idea that Skylanders are console version exclusive now is amusingly too complex for Chris to understand, since IIRC generally Skylanders figures work on all versions of the summoning portal thingy that senses the chips in the figures. I assume Chris owns both console versions of Skylanders Supercharged since he's a kart racing slut as it is, but this may be the first time he's had to deal with console exclusivity where the same game can't do the same things on two consoles (certainly is the first time I've heard of this toys-to-life almost bleeding into each other as Bowser/DK may be the first brand-recognized characters to have figures in two leading figure brands in this market).
