Slowbro and Slowpoke are my favorites, though I hate Slowking for some reason. I've had this random Slowbro toy since I was a kid, I don't know when I got it but it's always been with me. I remember loving the Slowpoke well and Azalea Town as a kid, maybe that's where it all started?

I don't have a definitive favorite, but the Pokémon I do like tend to have a more feminine direction which unfortunately means I get stuck with having a bunch of degenerate waifu-fags as "acquaintances".

Gardevoir, Florges, Tsareena, F!Meowstic, Gothitelle, Milotic, Primarina, and Meloetta all come to mind in this regard. Hell, I even really like Jynx.

But my "exceptions" tend to be closer to a sure-fire "favorite". Venusaur, Honchkrow, Toxicroak, and Aegislash. Between this list and the last, I tend to flip flop on my favorite on the day you'd ask me.

But Venusaur and Florges would probably be my choice more often then most so run with that if you will.

Snorlax all the way.

I feel bad for Rapidash. It's a unicorn that's on fire, so in theory it should be awesome. Unfortunately it's the weakest fully evolved Fire-Type in Gen I and, unlike a lot of the mediocre Gen I Pokémon it didn't get a new evolution in Gen II-IV, a Mega in Gen VI, or an Alolan form in Gen VII, so it's just as mediocre now as it was 20 years ago :(. Here's to hoping they give it something cool by the time they remake Diamond and Pearl.
  • Normal: I wish they would do more with Delcatty for similar reasons to Rapidash, but I let that slide more since they don't really try to pretend that Delcatty isn't just a cute house cat. Honorable mentions to Staraptor and Pyroar.
  • Fire: Unlike the aforementioned Rapidash, Arcanine, Chandelure, and Talonflame really do kick ass. I guess my favorite Fire starter would probably be Infernape.
  • Water: Can't go wrong with Gyarados. Fave Water starter is obviously Mudkip and its line (memes aside, pick Mudkip and the Hoenn games become a cakewalk).
  • Grass: Going with Whimsicott as it is the rare combo for Pokémon of absolutely adorable and not marketed to death. Fave Grass starter is Decidueye.
  • Electric: If I had to pick a fave type, it'd be Electric. Mareep and fam, Rotom and Emolga have all served me well. I'm really having a Xurkitree moment right now since I am using one with a Discharge/Signal Beam/Dazzling Gleam/Energy Ball moveset (it's not perfect, since it can't do much against something Fire/Ground, but it's pretty darn solid) to tear a hole through the Battle Tree.
  • Fighting: Tie between Gallade and Mienshao.
  • Flying: The aforementioned Gyarados. Staraptor, Emolga, and Talonflame.
  • Poison: Admittedly I usually forget it's part Poison-Type, but Gengar. Honorable mentions to Bulbasaur and line and Roserade.
  • Ground: I have a soft spot for pink Gastrodon because it was one of my favorite partners in PMD:E. Otherwise Mudsdale, probably my favorite newcomer for Gen VII.
  • Psychic: Gallade and Malamar (Malamar with Contrary + Superpower = Destroy Everything). Also Mesprit since it's the only Legendary I caught shiny (admittedly it was in Ultra Space, but still).
  • Rock: Everyone loves Sudowoodo.
  • Ice: I have a soft spot for Cubchoo/Beartic since it's the only shiny I've caught before the credits rolled in a game (specifically in X).
  • Bug: Story time, when I was playing Omega Ruby I caught a male Ralts at the beginning of the game and I wanted to evolve it into Gallade but I knew by the time I would be able to find a Shiny Stone (or an Ever Stone) he would be way past level 30, so my options were A) keep pressing B so he didn't evolve into Gardevoir, which seemed a smidge risky, B) put him in the PC where he'd languish at level 29 while the rest of my team soared past him, or C) grind in Super Training until it gave me a Shiny Stone. I chose C, but I didn't want to set in stone the EV spreads of the Pokémon I wanted to keep with me for the whole game so I decided to grind with the Beautifly I was going to put in the PC soon anyway. But that meant I now had a Beautifly with end-game level stats, meaning he was much better than my new little Gallade, and up until, like, gym five, me and my Beautifly utterly obliterated everything we saw. Honorable mention to Vivillon, since the pattern that my part of the world got (specifically Modern) was coincidentally also my favorite.
  • Dragon: Hydreigon kicks ass even in the age of Fairies.
  • Ghost: Aside from the aforementioned Gengar, Rotom, Chandelure, and Decidueye, I gotta love that Drifloon.
  • Dark: Bisharp and I already said Hydreigon and Malamar.
  • Steel: Bisharp.
  • Fairy: I'm big on Flabebe and fam for having multiple different colors without being shiny. Makes them look less monotonous than a lot of other Pokémon.

I actually really got attached to a number of Pokémon from the recent Gen like Cutiefly, Mareanie, ect. Meltan is pretty fun too.

Scyther is OG, I don’t know anyone who dislikes it.

Ribombee is fucking adorable too. And when I was a kid I used to get little obsessions on certain Pokemon after an episode featuring them, like Grovyle and the episode that made Scizor look OP af.
