Fast and physical, Weavile is one I use all the time.

Probably Absol. I like its design, and the little story in its Pokedex entries. Its mega evolution is pretty neat too.

Scizor's a close second though. I have a shiny Adamant one, and she's on pretty much every team I've made since I got her.

Mewtwo, hands down--at least if we're picking favorite Legendaries or just going by the anime. But I do have favorites based on typing because I can't really pick my favorite of all time.

Bug - Butterfree and Leavanny (tie)
Dark - Darkrai
Dragon/Flying - Dragonite and Altaria (tie)
Electric - Ampharos
Fighting/Fire - Blaziken/Torchic line
Ghost - Gengar
Grass - Meganium
Ground - Larvitar
Ice - Articuno
Normal - Jigglypuff (childhood fav)
Poison - Crobat
Psychic - The Mew duo (tie)
Rock - Omanyte
Steel - Jirachi
Water - Azumarill (also Fairy)

Favorite Pokemon I actually use? Jolteon. It's a shit-wrecker with a diverse move-type set, and it is fast as hell. I think it was outright the fastest Pokemon in Gen I and II. (Tied with Electrode, but Electrode sucks anyway.)
Favorite legendary? Kyogre. I had one in the original Sapphire with Calm Mind, Thunder (with rainy weather from its Drizzle ability, it'll always hit!), Ice Beam and Surf. That thing was a murder machine.
Favorite I've never used? Plusle. It's just the cutest damn thing ever, and it's perky! It's positive thinking in the form of a Pika-clone! How can you not love it?

It's criminal how there's only been one mention of Gengar. Having foregone buying new DSs I only emulate and it's made me sad I can't roll with my favorite Pokemon.
Was just going to come in here to post Gengar, haha. I've always loved ghost types so he was my favorite in gen 1 by default.

Golurk (Gen V) and Rowlett (Gen VII) are my other favorites that I can think of. Golurk because he's a sweet ghost that's kind of cute but also beats the shit out dudes with his big dang hands and Rowlett because just look at it, the owl has a bowtie. Jesus Christ. I was really disappointed when my Rowlett evolved into Steve Gaynor.

My favorite Pokemon is a pretty odd choice, but hey.

I love everything about Tentacruel. The typing, the design, the fact that it's a jellyfish, its pre-evolution Tentacool, and especially how it plays in battle. It's just a cool Pokemon, and I love using it.

Choosing one is just impossible, so.. Gengar, Venusaur, Hitmonlee, Quagsire, Houndoom, Breloom, Absol, Leafeon, Glaceon, Gallade, Staraptor, Sawk, Archeops, Alomomola, Furfrou and Aurorus.

Ninetales, Haunter, Skiploom, Electrike, Blaziken and Victreebel. Those are my main faves, anyway.

Also Gengar and Garbodor. Garbodor has a great design and the people that hate it are the type that are okay with every new Pokemon being a cat or a fox.

I don't have just one favorite... I'll just list my top 5 to make it easier on myself.

1. Gardevoir -- the very first time I played Pokemon Sapphire, I remember seeing Wally catch a Ralts and then saying "HEY I WANT ONE OF THOSE" and searching for hours to find one. I didn't know if it would be any good or not, it was a new Pokemon!! and I wanted it. Lo and behold, the thing's fantastic. Really helped in holding my team together, and ever since then, I've used one in every game it's available in. When Gen VI rolled around with the Fairy type and Mega Evolution, it only made it even better. (this was so goddamn spergy i'm so sorry)

2. Mawile -- Didn't use one until XY because I never had the right game for it, but I always liked its design. Again, the Fairy typing and Mega Evolution solidified it for me.

3. Mimikyu -- it's adorable and its whole thing about wanting to be as popular as Pikachu made me feel so sorry for it, so I used it in Moon and it's great.

4. Sylveon -- it honestly really surprised me. I loved using it in my team; it's actually pretty solid.

5. Alolan Ninetales -- my two favorite types merged into one Pokemon. Plus it has a gorgeous design. What more could I ask for?

(whoops, sorry for sperging there, i'm bracing myself for incoming :autism: ratings)
