My favorite was one of the old Genesis era releases... where you had a solid 3-4 seconds after the whistle to get to full speed and blow out the quarterback after the play... I think that was the same Madden release where after an injury an ambulance would drive onto the field and plow over any player model in it's way en route to the injured player. Simpler times.

I put a lot of fucking time in 2002, 2004, and 06, so I'll always enjoy those. 2004 and 06 especially.

Haven't really enjoyed a Madden game since 25. Physics fucking suck, everything feels floaty as fuck, defensive backs are unresponsive as shit and will either attempt the pass deflect/interception or just let the ball go over their fucking head as you're mashing the button.

Got to give some love to NFL2K, 2K3, and 2K5 too. NFL GameDay 97 and 98 were a load of fun back in the day too. Even had a pretty good time with Troy Aikman Football on SNES because it was so fucking easily exploitable.
