Not my favorites but some pretty flowers I was admiring in my garden today:
Buddleia AKA 'butterfly bush', absolutely covered in butterflies.
And I found some little bell shaped flowers which I believe are lily of the valley.
"Florida Snow", which is seemingly some variety of hybrids and species of the genus Richardia. They form these carpets in well mowed areas and make tons of little white flowers. They're usually at their height of dominance in Winter.
I am huge fan of lilies but my most favourite flower is probably lilac. I love the way it smells, especially after the rain. Reminds me of all the summers I've spent at my grandparents' country house.
The pictures don't do it justice. The trees have glossy leaves of red and green, the blossoms are nearly the size of a dinner plate and have a soft sweet fragrance. They flowers cover the whole tree as big bursts of white and the wind softly brings the perfume of one hundred flowers to you at the end of a summers day.
