I just want to be fucking done with this game but there is no escape
Fuck you Elizabeth and fuck your gay ass attention whoring events. I've been playing since JP launch and the game just isn't fun anymore. And they're artificially extending the story in JP now with that Ordeal Call gayness... Jesus just finish the plot, close the game, and make an FGO2 that has a system that isn't actively painful to play.
This Halloween event was my least favorite in terms of new servants, Zenobia is personality wise is cool and her being the straight man of the whole group, just kind of having to accept schizo shenanigans Chaldea goes through is fun, but sadly that's very limited because the other 99% of her personality is her talking how degraded and disgraced she is because she's chained and has her tits out.
I already expressed my opinion about Molay a while ago, but to summarize it, her whole personality is just
making Horny French anime girl noises because someone in Lasengle wanted that so badly to goon off.
It doesn't help she has an annoying fanbase of troons due to her being a genderbend of an existing male character that's in Arcade, with it being explicitly stated she was that guy but because of Shub Niggurath, he got turned into a woman and being voiced by a Japanese pooner.
As for Ordeal Call, I wouldn't have a problem with it if it had a consistent chapter releases like EoR had, but since this is now Lasengle, the company that has been inconsistent with release dates and re-runs, I can understand why people are dipping out.
I feel like they’re between a rock and a hard place on that - yes, FGO is hilarious outdated as far as mobile gacha games, and an FGO2 would probably be a breath of fresh air. But at the same time, FGO still prints money on new characters, and I legitimately wouldn’t be surprised if some people dipped, if not got proper angry, if they couldn’t bring all the characters they’ve whaled for into FGO2.
This game is kept running by inertia and weebs sunk cost, and EoS is going to be a bitch to both weeb and company.
This could be just me but I genuinely feel like since 8th Anniversary and its whole ordeal made people sour and people being more critical about FGO, can't blame them because previous anniversaries featured game very good improvements and servants relevant to the Lostbelt arc (except for 7th anniversary but i'll talk about that in my point below) that shook up the "meta" of the game, meanwhile 8th anniversary didn't have any game improvements and its anniversary servant was basically a summer/event servant packed as an anniversary one with only interesting gimmick going on with them being "The lower your health is the more damage you get" and her S3 start being on cooldown when she enters the battle.
That feeling of sourness was doubled down, especially seeing how many people unironically defended it
with excuses (which can dismantled very easily) such as:
>"Well you set yourself up for disappointment by expecting something big"
How do you not expect people to feel disappointed when 7th anniversary
we got
Arcueid and Xu Fu? Arcueid despite being clearly a fanservice character,
had a unique gimmick with her NP that let her change the whatever field she
was on to Millennium Castle. Xu Fu is basically considered 3* Castoria
for those that don't have the regular one.
>"Are you really forgetting how lackluster the 1st anniversary was?"
It was literally the 1st anniversary of course it wasn't gonna be something grandiose, especially when
the game team and executives were unsure if this game was going to be successful.
>"Did you really think they wouldn't try milking Aesc/Tonelico?"
Everybody knew we're gonna get Summer Morgan one way or another, given
she hit the 2 years quota that female servants eligible for a swimsuit variation have
to meet
>"Muh ""smol indie"" company" excuse
Lasengle literally makes fuckton of shekels every time there's a Castoria or Koyanskaya banner re-run, to expect the company that has now incredibly big budget to do better is not going to kill anybody. Sure there could executive meddling from time to time, but given how big the game is now, how much risque servants it pops out and money it reels in, I don't think that should be that of an issue. People have the right to be critical of Lasengle, given the fact that compared to the Delightswork days, they are incredibly lackluster with regular things such as animation updates basically they killed off re-runs of events which results in content drought/dead weeks.
Apologies for my autistic sperging I just had to get that out.
