I do not have high hopes for OC2. The lead up servants are all curse/debuffers/remove buffs servants, and that reeks of buff bullshit. Because of course an Alter Ego would have buff bullshit.
The Breezyvagina or whatever her name is event also looks not great. I'll farm it because I need the materials badly, but unless the melinated genderbent Voyager is the most busted thing since Melusine then I'm probably not gonna pull on her banner.
Summer 6 has to be my least favorite Summer event out of recent ones. I could be biased because Summer 7 and 8 were much more interesting, and NA just recently got out of the Avalon La Fae story, which was incredible, so the summer and upcoming Halloween event just feel "meh" after it.
The chest system is really dogshit because with how much points you get
it feels very sluggish, but it's not too bad since bronze chest give evil bones.
Summer girl roster is a mixed bag. I found Okita Alter and Anastasia really endearing/cute, got surprised that summer version of Caenis grew on me real quick (not too much of a fan of her lancer version). I thoughtI would like Sei/Nagiko but she got annoying real fast, Charlotte's whole "I am just a no good poor peasant low hick waifu pls validate me" because it's no different than her assassin counterpart (that I'm not a fan of either) also begins to become grating after a while (especially because we have Mandricardo in this event too who's character/personality is really similar), Kama is just a discount Nagatoro/loving bully in a swimsuit and not too fond of writers enabling her to act like a cunt because of "muh traumatic backstory" meanwhile the writers get vitriolic with Douman, despite him having his own luggage of trauma but I guess being a waifuface grants Kama privilege.
Leonardo is pretty alright in terms of personality here, I did like her interactions with Christopher Columbus Lily. I do hope we get Chris as a servant though.

Saber: Yamato Takeru, Japanese king Arthur. Their actually keeping it vague if they genderswaped them or not like every other saber face or just made them a trap.
Archer: Zhou Yu, character from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Not actually familiar with chink history so not sure how/if he relates to the other servants from that story/era.
Lancer: Jeanne d'Arc, nothing to say, its just Jean Alter.
Rider: Ushi Gozen/Raikou, this is causing a small shitstorn on /fgog/ due to one prominent schizo
Caster: Hieda no Are. Maybe the biggest literal who in the game, as far as I can tell he wrote a famous book of histories and myths in japan during the 8th century
Assassin: Koga Saburo, Snake ninja and ancestor of Mochizuki Chiyome, apperntly there's some old mat from 2017 about Shuten hating him
Berserker: Musashi, only thing to note is from her perspective the events from Shimousa has happened but Olympus hasn't occurred yet
Rouge Saber, Kiso-no-Yoshinaka. Tomoe's husband and from some speculation might be a pseudo-servant.

Also Gil gets summoned as a Ruler to oversee the Holy Grail War Waxing Moon Ritual but loses interest and ditches to run a shop
Also to note is apparently people who've played the game are commenting that Iori rather than being another guda clone is some weird unholy mix of Shirou and Nanaya.
Guy is apparently another sword autist like the former but literally just wants to be a murder hobo and kill people like the later.

Beat Fate/Stay Night yesterday after many months. First game I fully beat in years. Satisfying, I have much I like, and much I thought the anime did better, but that's neither here nor there. I did it. Hollow Ataraxia comes next year, because that VN wiped me the fuck out. Heaven's Feel especially. It was good, don't get me wrong, but dense as fuck. Still I do recommend it to anyone that's a Fate nerd, at least once.

I think many skip it because, let's be real, unless you find a old Japanese CD copy, you're pirating it. Sad really. They already remastered it with Realta Nua, they just would need to translate and release it. I'm downloading Witch on the Holy Night now for my switch, because type moon at least decided to give it a English release.

Yeah it sucks doesn't it? I'm hoping with a official translation of the New Tsukihime game and the already mentioned witch VN Fate/stay night and Hollow Ataraxia get one someday as well. With Fate being so popular you would think those two would've been the first ones to be released out of Japan.

That is my hope as well. I think with Fate, they're kinda aware at this point how much it's been pirated, so have chosen to ignore it if and when they do a full remake. Free publicity and all that. They don't condone the piracy but don't stop it either. Might as well release a remake and sell that

A fate stay night remake would be so cool but with how long it seems to take type moon to finish their projects I'm not going to be expecting anything like that for a really long time. The tsukihime remake was talked about for like 20 years before it happened and it still not completed yet who knows how long it would take for a F S/N remake.

Oh I'm not holding out hope, I just think that's there logic behind it. The west is kind of a lost market at this point unless they released a completely revamped version because they didn't at the start. But hey, at least Tuskihime is happening, so that's cool

Didn't say it was bad thing just that a few people where surprise that the worse didn't happen. Although the main complaint I've seen people say about Iori is he doesn't change at all, Iori at the start is almost exactly the same and is sort of bland outside of the odd muderhobo quirk. Although I haven't played the game so take it with a grain of salt and maybe assume some people are complaining about the main master again like every fate entry.

I was holding off, the thread was kind of dooming about it, but with all this positivity, I'll have to pick it up tbh. I'll check this local game shop that sold me Extella Link first, if they don't have it, Amazon it is lol.
