Not FGO, but I'm playing thru Fate Extella Link on my new Switch. Funnest little hack and slash I've played in a while, probably gonna be the first game I beat in years. Gonna get the first after for more beat em up action. I love the attacks, Noble Phantasms, well detailed character models and animations. It's not the grandest game in the world but it's not trying to be, and I'm glad. It's nice having a casual game to kill mooks and fight bosses.

Also the physical copy on Switch at least comes with two free costumes, one for Archer, and one for someone else I haven't unlocked yet.

Links gameplay is great but the first games story is way better, shame Samurai Remnant feels like is going to be the worst of both games.

Its clear in the development it switched from another mousou to an action adventure game, so now you have mousou levels, enemies and movesets but instead of 100 enemies on the screen its 5 with the characters talking inbetween each enounter and some tacked on town zones to fill up with mostly npc quests that do nothing but create busywork.

Wait, wait,wait, wait. Nasu somehow got Koei/Tecmo, the only company that can legally make a proper musou game because they hold a patent on one of the obscure mechanics that make them work, and they're turning it into a shitty Like A Dragon: Ishin clone?

At what point do you stop being stupefied and look on in pity instead?

Alright alright, I'm new to this lol. Guess I'll wait until reviews and the audience metacritic score is out before a buy. I do like some of the characters in SR though, a lot showed up in the Redline manga of which I'm a fan.

EDIT: Also I did beat one route in Extella Link. The Charlemagne route where you beat the robot at the end. Nero is fucking OP.

man i wont sperg on you. i just have a hate boner for Nasu treating the Extra series as his abuse victim. its bad enough we have not heard anything about the remake for well over two years soon, then we have the sequel that never came out to the west (because the "sexual undertone" would be too much for westerns to handle" while we made millions of a series that's pure coomer bait and promotes gambling!) and the translation being held hostage by a bunch of tranny translators! dont even get me started on the Nero wank in Extella. my blood boils just thinking about it

guess i did sperg after all. fuck!

It's alright bro, I have a few series I could sperg for hours over too lol. I do know about Extra, watched the anime, know the sequel was never released in the west. I'd like to play the first, but to do it right, I need a psp ( the easy part) and a copy of Fate Extra. Not happening for a long while, just bought a Switch.

At least Extella Link is fun, And I got half a game left to beat, as well as starting with a caster. Can't undersell how much I like the gameplay loop. The attacks feel like they hit, especially the Noble Phantasms, and half the time you're just slaying hordes for max dopamine.

as for the game, it works perfectly on a PSP emulator. hell, it makes the game look really pretty.

We agree, the anime sucks major ass. But it did introduce me to the core concepts, and at least Nero was consistent.

As for the Emulator, I bet it does, but that'd be when I have a good PC. Again, money lol. I have some priorities before that lol. But until then, once I get through Extella Link, I'll go onto Extella. I liked the story in Extella Link, so if you're telling me that theres better in Extella, I can't wait. How's the gameplay in comparison if I may ask?

never played Extella Link, only Extella but i played over a dozen mousou games in my time. if i would rank Extella with the rest of them, i would say its pretty low on the mousou totem poll.

I just know I'm having a blast with Extella Link; reminds me of Bayonetta in ways (,played that on the 360) but far less sweaty, and lots more girls with cute alt uniforms. It's a good gameplay loop, I don't feel like I'm about to rage quit, but there's challenge, as well as thinking about things like leveling up your team so that you can smash through levels far more effectively.
 
I am interested in seeing what are the identities of servants in Samurai Remnant.
I'd be interested in it more if they didn't decide to shove in Musashi and Jeanne Alter for some "reason" (read money).

Still bit salty that Sakurai really wasted Romulus-Quirinus's character in LB5.2 by making him exist for only one scene and dying instantly,
just so she can go back to jerking off Musashi.

A lot of people think rogue berserker is Samson from the Bible and that Jeanne Alter is actually Jeanne des Armoises a French women who claimed to be Jeanne after her death.

I have to assume that Musashi's pretty important from a narrative standpoint (see: Iori) and her presence will probably be justified in the story, but Jalter being one of the primary Servants, especially when they've got Arjuna/Cu/Li/Circe hanging out as rouge Servants, is kinda ridiculous.
Also there being FOUR pre-existing Servants hanging out for whatever reason in addition to the main cast is kind of dumb in the first place, but Circe is my favorite Caster so I'm honestly biased there.

Personally I'm glad we seem to be getting some of the Redline charecters, I'm up to date with that manga, so if the game is decent, I'll gladly play
 
JP anniversary is over, I got Asec np2, and from the lucky bags I got Okitan Alter (saber) and Oberon, I wanted vich for busters but I can't complain about oberon or oki
 
TL;DW- Summer events announcements

The event will start tommorow. Suzuka is a rider and Chloe is an avenger.

The Fae knights summer variations were revealed (only the battle animations probably not to spoil the event with their NPs) and welfare servant for this summer is going to be Knockarea (althought its stated that her name will be different in the game). They will be on their own banner that will arrive on Tuesday.

Oberon will be returning in the male banner if anyone wants to get him with Tristan, Gawain and Lancelot.

I got 1 Aesc, from the 30 SQ GSSR I got Tezca (WOOOOOOOOOOO) and from regular banner I got Summer Ibuki.
I wanted Scathach-Skadi ruler because I do have some grailed Quick servants that could use some quick power but
Summer Ibuki is fine too because I wanted to get either her last year but I failed to.
 
I am f2p so no lucky bags or guarantees with me. Still got toneriko np 2.

What I really wanted eas another shot for Ibuki/skadi/Tametomo.

Will roll for Suzuka and Kuro tho
