Okay guys I’ve decided since I have nothing better to do I’m going to grail Jason to level 100 for the memes and try to max out his bond.

Update 4/23/22: Jason has received his first of many grails. I’ve also been feeding him Fous. I’m going to max out everything.

That feel when you're lvl 70 and still getting slapped around by Heracles and Medea...

Jason is really fun grailed, I'm like tempted to bring him to 120 when the Servant coins come out.

Ah yes, I forgot Atalanta too.
Technically he can like summon half of the argonauts, but only if they feel he is heroic in a situation.

This brings up a good question I’ve had for a while. So like, outside of the game’s canon his Noble Phantasm would be technically better than say for instance any of the Noble Phantasms featured in Zero including I’d say those of Rider and Gilgamesh. I mean, he can summon at the very least both Hercules and Medea who, in Fate Stay Night are both individually overpowered to the point that frankly it’s a little hard to believe either of them were defeated by anyone but the other.

Am I crazy? Seems like he’d be the perfect Saber to summon in a legit grail war.

Well the issue with Jason is that in lore, he can only summon the servants if he is in the position of a hero (so like he'd maybe just get Heracles and Medea Lily at best since they are the only two argonauts who can deal with his bullshit more), they'd also probably be nerfed since they probably don't have the noble phantasms but some of their skills, and the master would need extremely good mana reserves to maintain Jason and all those summons.

Like he is pretty powerful but he would need the right circumstances to be viable.

I’m pretty sure that’s incorrect based on the wiki article I just read. I think you may be confusing or mixing his ability Epiphany In The Jaws Of Death with his Noble Phantasm. From what I understand he summons the Argo and it’s crew to help him fight. Now if we look at FGO for a baseline of what these servants are still capable of it would seem that at least for the most part they retain their abilities, though whether they can use their Noble Phantasms or not is yet to be seen. So, Heracles would then still possess God Hand and obviously Madea as we can see still has her magic and Antlante(I think that’s her name) is doing some magic arrow looking thing, honestly I don’t know what she does.

At the very least it’s superior to something like Rider’s Noble Phantasm which, while holding many servants does deprive them of abilities and skills they would normally possess.

And it’s arguably better than Gates Of Babylon if you go by the way it was depicted in the anime and most of the VN. Honestly GoB is pretty inconsistent on if he can actually use the Noble Phantasms of the weapons. In the VN it’s vaguely mentioned by Shirou that the swords that were hitting him were leaving curses buuut it’s never brought up again and we never see Gil use a proper NP with them otherwise.

With Jason the Jaws of Death only really helps determine his ability to plan his actions, if his heroism determines how many can he summon is from the material book

The more righteous Jason's position in battle is, the more he gets his crewmates' approval, increasing the number of attacks.

Conversely, if his position is clearly villainous, a surprising amount of people will be absent from the ship (skipping the job), considerably decreasing its power.

This was sealed and rendered unusable in Okeanos.

As for Gil, he can summon any baseline weapon and still use it but he can’t really master it. But if he’s fighting a dragon, he doesn’t need to summon Balmung to be able to slay it. Like Gate of Babylon is bullshit but Gil’s weakness comes from his arrogance since if he doesn’t take an opponent seriously he can be destroyed easily. Hell he probably would’ve been destroyed extremely easily in his fight with Heracles in UBW if Herc was only ordered to kill him instead of protecting Illya.

I’ve been experimenting with the new Voyager servant and I think this may very well be the best servant for farming I’ve ever seen. With Kaleidoscope I can NP loop Voyager for three turns using My Waver and a support Waver effectively making each farming run about a minute with NP animations enabled.

Additionally, Voyager is amazing at gathering C Stars and dishing out crits. All around he is just an incredible servant. This is the Quick support we were promised.

It’s telling how often I default to using Nitocris to farm most everything that I didn’t really think of trying to Loop Voyager without Skadi…

While Voyager is great Quick Support, his biggest downside is that he’s likely about to be overshadowed - the next new SSR we have coming is Castoria, bringer of the Arts Meta. Meaning a lot of the AoE Arts Servants are going to be able to loop all of a sudden, without having to jump through too many hoops (read - having Nero Bride, Tamamo, and Para).

Also Castoria brings with her an upgraded form of Invincibility, because why not.

That will be interesting to see.

Though admittedly the only reason I wanted Voyager to begin with was because I thought his servant concept was pretty cool considering it’s another American servant and based on a probe no less. It was just a happy coincidence that he turned out to be good at farming.

I was wondering why my Merlin had way less tokens than literally everyone else in my roster
Can't help to laugh at the fact that NA tried to do something good by releasing servant coins over a year early and managed to fuck it up with a bug that gave players less then they where supposed to get.

Had to go digging to find this, turns out there’s a good reason we’re getting shit like Servant Coins early

To tl;dr it - the devs get getting sick of people who play JP sperging out about NA getting QoL updates early/petty shit like getting the Babylonia Anime Campaign at the same time as JP. So now, devs are going to give NA more treatment - things like Events and Story are set in stone, but I’m guessing that means smaller shit (login streaks for Gapples/SQ, faster QoL updates, shit like that)

Wonder if the studio switch is a factor as well. FGO used to be developed by Delight Works, now it's Lasengle. Happened in December 2021.

If they were using the Babylonia Anime Event as an example, I feel like this has been brewing for a while. I can’t read Weeb, so I don’t know what’s been going on on Japanese Twitter, but I’m guessing enough dipshits started sending death threats to the point the devs reached the Fuck It point - the studio change might’ve just sped things up.
