It's more like Diavolo doing bad shit to other people. Though there's undoubtedly gonna be something along the lines of that, I bet.

One of the prompts is "knots." I am thoroughly frightened.

I know it's part of an event group, but for fuck's sake, unless the one-shot/chapter literally can't be split into smaller parts because of how fast it moves along, or a break anywhere will be too awkward or what, for convenience's sake, split up your work. Readers (especially for fan fics) whine about this all the time even if the author may think otherwise, and although I think part of it is due to short attentions spans, not even NEETs want to spend a few hours reading 25,000 words at once. Seriously, your readers will thank you for not being expected to read it in one sitting.

Also large word counts will not automatically save your story from going stagnant, and it doesn't make you sound smart or creative. Learn to cut the fat.

I decided to take a peek in this fic and it has one of the worse writing styles I hate that authors use.



The style where every one or two sentences they SLAM that Enter key.


It's awful because it ruins any speediness when it's literally the whole story.




It actually makes the story go slower because you're having to keep.

Looking at the fic myself, whichever writing software they're using doesn't transition well from copy-paste, but they're forgetting to reformat it in the site document itself because this is in all of their works. This author I think really doesn't realize how stupid this looks on their part.

But if the author was trying to implement the style and feel of House of Leaves or other thrillers (I remember New Moon doing this shit when Bella had her "woe is me" drama queen moment), then the pretentiousness astounds me.
