That was actually a bizarre accident of mine. Apparently putting a headband on Chris so he can support his old Styrofoam ears does give him a hippie appearance. Further, the style of polo I gave him does look more on the dippy-hippie side. Rest assured though, "The Classic" polo will be making a return in this comic.
 
Oh, very nice! I hadn't initially realized that she was standing in front of statues. I thought it was comics cover artistic license.

Fuuny thing is that I'm trying to make this as low-grade as possible without it just being shit. Before I actually started this project, I was stocking up on Bristol paper and setting up my workstation for some heavy Photoshop work. Then my good friend, Miss Poison Ivy reminded me it wouldn't be true to Chris' Sonichu. So here I am working off of copy paper and Crayola fucking magic markers (although I am still cheating a little with a wee bit of Photoshopping and using a touch of Prismacolor).

Seriously though, good going on her part to get proof and warn everyone on the shit that's about to go down.

God, I love his legs on that page. It never gets old for me. I mean hey, I know he's autistic, I know he's lazy, I know he has the art skills of an eight year old, but would any self-respecting (but lazy and autistic?) eight year old honestly look at that and say "YUP seems fine to me"?

PS _blank_, I love this comic and your art style and your coloring and pretty much just everything. Keep 'em coming please AUGH YEAH
 
Sonichu's flesh-colored belly has always bothered me, but they way you draw it brings it to a whole new level of creep, _blank_. I love it.:lol:

I think its better that way honestly. You see more personality with the original pen marking, and marker coloring versus whats digitally entered.

Yeah, it's especially weird when you're actually coloring, when you begin to realize that for extensive purposes, Sonichu's yellow "fur" could be easily construed as some kind of yellow latex gimp suit and he only has his mouth and belly hanging out... I think too much about this kind of shit.

To a point, I can agree with you. I always prefered my hand-drawn linework over what I can accomplish on a computer screen, but coloring I just like the whole extra spectrum of colors I can get as opposed to working with essentially a 50-count marker set (12 of which are identical colors, just "fun-scented" because nothing better in the world than teachings kids early to huff marker fumes). Maybe I should do a search and see if Crayola has like a 100-count super-elitist kids set or something.

Anyway, new page is just about done and will be getting posted tomorrow. But for everyone who decided to check back in today, a wee bit of a preview... because just like Chris, I'm all about fan appreciation:
