all the best outcomes are exclusive for good characters(or at least neutral ones), evil characters get pretty much nothing.
Thats where you are wrong because for people who like evil characters the outcomes where they get to be evil are the best outcomes.
They usually don't care if picking a bad option means less rewards or less quests cause they just want to be a bad guy
Probably the cringiest post in this entire thread. Not gonna look thru all 850 pages but I am probably right, as I usually am.
Yeah but you probably fill up the other 9 out of 10 spots so don't feel that bad you no longer fill out all 10.
There is a visible impact for evil/good/neutral characters, something that is missing from every other entry.
What visible impact? Nuking megaton? Having npcs randomly complain about the water from project purity? It's all nothing more than lazy set dressing and the bare minium a game could do to even be considered having visible impact from your choices.
You know what visible impact actually looks like? Literally any choice in new vegas like getting primm a sheriff/annexing them for the ncr or doing a radiation attack on the legion camp so now everyone there is either dead or in radiation suits.
The Boomers entire questline is based around making them idolize you,
Give them 50 scrap metal and they immediately see you as jesus
Feel free to spend an entire page deliberating on this pointless topic or crying how I hurt your feelings, you certainly aren't going to make a good point or say anything of value so you might as well.
You are the expert on that so you must be onto something.

Honestly not having a legion companion feels like a mistake given you can join them, though I suppose it makes The courier a giga Chad who needs no others to augment his own strength.

Still I do like when people add legion mods that give them the nuance they deserve given they wouldn't be as big as they are without something being done right.

Hey now, they only really idolize you after you help them recover the bomber they've been worshipping for decades, which I think is totally understandable.

If this is a criticism, I don't really agree that the scrap metal (or missile) option "ruins" the quest. It's a boring, tedious backup option if you can't do or don't want to bother with the quests around Nellis. By choosing this route one would miss out on experience, loot, and some short and simple but entertaining quests, instead replacing those with the grind of finding 50 pounds of scrap around the wasteland.

Helping the Boomers out is one of the easiest things you can do, too, especially with all the ways they let you earn rep. Heal the wounded, play match-maker, kill some ants, listen to a kid talk about their history and reply favorably, fix solar panels, or just drop off a bunch of scrap metal.

A legion companion would either be a high ranking member created just to be a unique companion or a slave. I assume its the same reason why there is no straight up NCR companion outside of boone who isn't even active in the military anymore, his vendetta against the legion stayed with him after service and after the trafficking of his wife. Maybe a legion companion could have been someone who isn't an actual legion member but after you do more and more stuff for them becomes very pro legion and even joining them to gain an actual rank/title.

I mean they are only as big as they are because they did everything brutal and wrong. Like caravanners say its very safe to travel through legion territory because there are no raiders or scavs to jump you but that does not mean its a good thing because of what was done to create it and the legion actively shuns modern tech and medicine (unless you are Caesar) so expect a much shorter life span for legionnaires too.
Bethesta is being faithful to the lore here, intended or not.
You know how people try to claim the store descriptions for fallout games are proof they are simulations and none of them are actually accurate representations of the wasteland despite just being tongue in cheek store descriptions? Fallout shelter is genuinely the only fallout game i will accept the "its all a simulation" for because its a retarded cop out if used on any actual fallout title including 76.

Was mostly a joke and i kinda forgot that you need to raise the bomber to get idolized so my joke kinda failed. I also dont think the scrap metal option ruins the quest cause it is entirely optional. On a recent playthrough of mine i grabbed as much scrap metal as i could during dead money just so i could immediately skip the boomer quests and get right into raising the bomber.

I only ever miss out on the ant mound quest because every other playthrough of mine i always had some amount of scrap that only doing every other quest got me into raising the bomber. Although after learning that the location for the ant mound quest has the unique GL i could not miss it anymore

Quick googling told me you're talking about F4 settlements. Sorry I played only F1/2/Tactics.
Also I found on the wiki that having Cassidy in your party sets your Barter to 80 if yours is below that, so Barter is effectively useless in F2.

No i mean like on steam or xbox, the descriptions for mainline fallout titles talk about them being simulations made by vault tec and some people see it as evidence none of the games are actually the canon wasteland just simulations from vault tec. It was popular around when the "you are a synth in fallout 4" theory was also popular.

The only actual fallout game i could see being a vault tec simulation is shelter

Wow this is dumber than Tim Cain's original lore for Vaults where they were supposed to be test runs for future long-distance spaceship environments.

Ulysses would have been the Legion-sympathetic companion, but he was cut because they couldn't fit all of his companion dialogue on a disk. Such a missed opportunity in my opinion.

Thumper's a top 3 explosive weapon, hands down. But even if you aren't going for that kind of build, the ant quest is worth it for the dead Boomers' Assault Carbine and Marksman Carbine on top of all that ammo on shelves to sell. Killing the bugs is easy, too. Just use the sonic emitter from Loyal after a 50 Speech/Science
