I'm curious to what 4's soundtrack is like, 3 was fantastic I wasn't a fan of NV's

Eh yeah it suited the environment but I liked the up beat tone of 3's NV just made me depressed

Fallout New Vegas's OST felt to me very... nostalgic. I thought it suited the game's laid back old west setting better than an upbeat ost would have. There's nothing like walking across a desert for 10 minutes while this plays.
My biggest issue with it's OST had more to do with it's lack of variety and lack of tracks. Like F3's OST was bigger and it had a lot of variety to it. And I have to admit I loaded R.A.C.E with a lot of old 1950's music to populate the OST further.

I really loved NV's soundtrack. There seemed to be a lot more songs about loneliness and regret, which I found really fitting for wandering the desert. I especially loved Heartaches by the Numbers
Fallout 3's soundtrack, however, felt much more upbeat, and tried to convey a juxtaposition between the present and pre-war. I liked most of the songs, but I still preferred the sadder ones.

My favorite vault is the one where they put one man alone in a vault, with a crate full of puppets, and he eventually used the puppets to create his own little society to deal with his loneliness. In 3 you can actually find a jumpsuit from the vault, with a bunch of recordings he made. It's actually kinda unsettling and facinating at the same time.

The vault that had a population of 80 men, 80 women, and one seriously pissed off panther is a close second though.

If they did Nuka Cola it would be in those weird-ass new-fangled rocket-shaped bottles they have in 4 now.
