I just got around finishing the first Episode and I thought it was amazing. Think Action Doom if it had an actual budget. You play as a wise-cracking detective in the 1930s punching goons until they drop. Think Max Payne but with melee. Of course there's guns but they're not plentiful and ammo is hard to find. My only criticism would be that since the guns are awesome. But in the final chapter when you get a Tommy? Amazing.

Loved it. Only game I've bought this year and it was worth every penny.
My only problem with these episodic games is that by the time a new episode releases I've already moved on and don't get the news.
On the other hand, episodes are easy to finish. It doesn't sit in my library 80% complete.

8-9/10 experience. Would sock a goon in his ugly mug again.

I think the 2D art can look a little wonky from time to time but it's charming all the way through.

I'm holding off until all the episodes come out because I know I'll crave more if I start now.

Fallen Aces is sick. New Blood boomer shooters are an instant buy from me, but Fallen Aces is especially sick.
