The Washington Post has already fact checked his Awards. You know, because why not?

Resulted in corrections because they were called for all the bullshit, you just have to see the magnitude of RT and likes a fake news has and compare it to the ones that a retraction has, they know people will keep screeching for false things even after retracted

Wapo is just salty that they were not mentioned

I'm not sure how sustainable a government based on "LOL Tumblr is shitting itself!" is.
It's clearly a limitless resource, the trick is just learning how to harness its power.

I hope they give Kurt Eichenwald an award for his pioneering research on tentacle porn and death threats.

This isn't government work. This is his hobby.

Some people play video games in their spare time, some read books, some watch movies, ect.

Trump intentionally pisses off the media and laughs his ass off about it.

Essentially he is the Kiwi Farms as a president.

The idea that this is somehow an indication that Trump is shirking his duties as president is just as retarded as it was when the right claimed the same about Obama going on vacation or playing basketball. The only real differences are that Trump has much thinner skin than Obama, and also that he's way more hilarious.

Not that Trump's relationship with the media is in any way a new subject, but I'm of the opinion that it is very poor form for the man himself to be seen fighting with them like this. I'm a believer in that "4th estate" idea that says it's the media's job to hound elected officials, and the highest said official firing back smacks of a conflict of interest and sets the absurd tone that it is the president's place to decide when it is and is not okay to criticize his administration. I would have said the same thing if Obama was constantly tweeting pissy digs at Fox News.

Of course the news media is full of shit and getting worse every day. But it's our job to fire back at them as private citizens, and there's more than enough of us doing it. It's our duty and our right as free people to be harsh toward any established powerful voice, be that entrenched power a public entity or a private one. Trump gave that up when he took office. No one forced him to run for president.

I was a believer in the fourth estate too, but it's over now. The downward spiral began with Hearst, sped up with television and ended with social media. When Trump went on international news to explain that his dick was plenty big and never mind the size of his hands, the idea of statesmanship had an aneurysm and a heart attack at the same time. It won't get better now, it only ever gets worse :/

And I agree that we have to hold people in power accountable, but the media isn't doing that. They just flip out about ice cream or steak, or some racist thing someone somewhere thought Trump might say. And fuck, half of them seem to think the first amendment needs to be dismantled, and fuck anyone who is that stupid.

So we, the people, have to hold Trump accountable, and we have to hold the media accountable. And while we can easily see when Trump fucks up, and since there are no decent watchdogs keeping an eye on the press, if Trump is so thin skinned that he wants to list every time the media fuck up, that serves me just fine - and that's not even mentioning how funny I find it.

If this is supposed to make the news outlets look better, it doesn't. We all know the initial story travels farther than any retraction. Major news outlets having to make so many retractions when they're being put under a microscope is a terrible thing to admit to. You're basically saying your tradesmen will publish unverified stories for clicks.
