Does anyone know when the Flash movie is going to be released? I haven't seen any trailers for it on tv or even in the theatres. I remember it was at one point going to be released in July, but the Wikipedia page says June 23rd?

I wonder if Warner Bros/Discovery has already cut its losses from the film, and will possibly shelf it?
Its been delayed, as has the second Aquaman film. Although the official explanation is due to Visual Effects been unfinished due to the pandemic causing slowdown, there's been crisis meetings within WB/Discovery regarding both films. Effectively both Ezra Miller (The Flash) and Amber Heard (Aquaman 2) are getting so much bad press the films would both fail. Its likely the first line of almost every review will mention Ezra's antics and criminal convictions.

Although they've denied it, its looking more and more likely they are going to just dump The Flash on HBO Max, possibly same with Aquaman 2. Doing so would save them distribution costs and marketing (about $100+ million for a blockbuster film), cutting their losses. Its worth noting neither are showing up at San Diego Comic Con this year.

Warner Bros couldn't have picked two better acting talent to headline their very expensive DC film series, right?

this is hilarious.

They probably will release Aquaman 2 in theatres, since according to Amber Heard most of her scenes were cut before principal photography began.

Also, a lot of Aquaman's success was due to its popularity in China, so they could always release it overseas first and release it on HBO Max afterwards.

Interestingly, Amber Heard would have had a bigger part if they had stuck with the original plan of Zack Snyder filming three Justice League films. The Snyder Cut has a brief tease of the Apokalips storyline that was a part of Batman v. Superman as a dream sequence, and in it, Mera is one of the few surviving superhumans fighting evil Superman and Darkseid. I think it was like the Joker, Cyborg, Flash, Deathstroke and Batman, so she would have been part of that Justice League trying to restore the original timeline.

I'm glad we got to see that cut, but it's the actors who are killing it now, so I've given up hope on ever revisiting that. It's not just that the studio has bad blood with Snyder, it's the entire cast getting either fucked over by the studio or fucking everyone else over with their antics. Even if the new Discovery guys wanted to restore the DCEU in some form, I think it's just getting out of their hands to a point where it can't ever come back.

DC were so desperate to catch up with Marvel putting out two blockbusters a year, they gave a director near free reign, and let him hire acting talent without checking their backgrounds first. The resulting films deserve to end up in DC's dustbin of history alongside Batman & Robin, Catwoman, and Superman 4.

Biggest problem with DC was and still is - they don't have Kevin Feige level showruner for their extended universe. So they hired hit & miss visual director who, without a good script is practically useless, but fits their edgy-dark art style they associate with successful (Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan) movies.

They forget that they made bright, colorful, inspiring, but also corny and goofy superhero movie, full of heart in 1978. It had dark moments, but also felt genuine and fun, that resulted in box office success.

If, for whatever reason, the DCEU gets restored, most of the big names would have no problem coming back, unless they have very specific issues (other commitments, family, health, etc.) I have no doubt Momoa, Cavill, Gal Gadot, and even Ray Fisher (if Snyder comes back) would return to reprise their roles.

Miller can be replaced without any further scandal or mention. Any other actor (not necessarily TV Flash) can replace him and we can move on. That's normal in movies whenever an actor can't come back. And Mera as a character isn't even that important.

Unfortunately, these aren't even the main issues with the DCEU and the people in charge. And even if they were, those people aren't smart enough to solve them this easy.

I forgot which black actor who criticized both white and Jewish people, but the moment he talked smack about Jews the hammer came down on him.
You must be referring to Nick Cannon.

Batman & Robin, Catwoman, and Superman 4 (and 3 if you want) are hilariously bad where you can have fun at how ridiculously stupid they are. I can go back to Catwoman knowing that it's a shit movie that's so hilariously bad in how it handles things, like making it have nothing to to with Batman, Gotham or Selina Kyle herself, to how this new Catwoman takes acting like a cat to new fucking levels to the nonsense regarding the skin care products the antagonists make.

The advantage Kevin Fiege has is that he has extensive knowledge on Marvel and has been with Marvel Studios since the Blade/X-Men days. He's a hack, but he's not stupid.

DC doesn't have that time. They tried to do that with both Burton and Nolan, but it was clear that the producers nor the directors themselves were interested in taking it seriously. That dark and edgy style is, honestly, only useful with Batman, because Batman revolves around a lot of dark things happening and is the most grounded of the Justice League. He doesn't have any superpowers, his allies in Gotham don't have superpowers, and most of his vilains are either mentally ill, egotistical, involved with the mob and/or have a lot of resources at their disposal.

It als doesn't help that DC is following the Marvel bandwagon into racebending by making Hawkman black.

They're also making Cyclone Black as well.

I hope this isn’t clickbait. If not, Waco 2: The They theming documentary might be coming out within the next 5 years.
Kiwis, for just £399 you can buy an authentic strand of this troon's hair.
That’s an awful lot of money for a strand of hair that looks unwashed, greasy and might reek of weed and other substances. Tbf it sounds better than buying farts or bath water off whores. Who knows, he might make buying a strand of his hair part of cult initiation.
