Largely because their are awful aspects of Amber that have nothing to do with her weight. Partly because she perpetuates stereotypes of overweight people that are harmful. Many people are upstanding individuals but food is their weakness. Also, the person in that video was heavier than Amber was and lost the weight, going as far as getting weight loss surgery.

Can we all agree that if she was just a shitty person, no one would watch her? People watch her because she's monstrously fat and a spectacle that most people haven't witnessed in their personal lives. Her shitty behavior pales in comparison to most cows on this site, but the community surrounding her constantly grows bc her girth trumps all of them. No one really cares that she's a shitty person. They care because she's a fat person who's full of shit.

They powerlevel because they're fat, but at least they don't think they're full of shit (spoiler: they are).
 
I don't think that's true. Hungry Fat Chick doesn't have a hate following because she's not a piece of shit (or at least, hasn't shown herself to be one). Hell, LiesByJen barely has a hate following and she IS a piece of shit. Amy's Life Jihad is a piece of shit as well AND her life is even more ridiculous than Amberlynn. Miniscule following; and most of them supporters.

There is definitely more to Amberlynn than her JUST her weight. There IS stuff to react to there, regardless of what size the reactor is. Of course I agree it cringey when fat people react to her but there is definitely more to work with that "lol i'm fat but she's fatter than me."
 
True, but none of them (Chantal, LBJ, ALJ) have been around for as long as Amber has. People have been aware that Amber lies since 2014. They'll grow in time.

I'm not denying that there are things about her that are legitimately vile and immaterial. But I find it hard to believe that most of those qualities and actions aren't exacerbated because of her weight (e.g: She's a liar, manipulative, vindictive, and gaslights, and we know that because she's fat and getting fatter in every video. She cries about her weight, but exploits her size). Yeah, a minuscule amount of people hate her just because she's fat, but her weight definitely plays a significant role as to why people are invested and frustrated.

As far as I know, HungryFatChick has never attempted weight loss on her channel, I think that makes a big difference, in addition to her not seeming like an asshole. AL started out talking about weight and the infamous 89 lbs, and people slowly tuned in to check out her weight loss. Once it became clear that she was gaining and was making minimal effort, people got fed up. In time, her soft-spoken, shy persona dropped away and Cuntylynn emerged in full force.
 
Even Amy Slaton is getting in on the dark knuckle challenge and I'm loving the shade. Can't wait for her parody video!

I've got PettyBeFatty's livestream on as some background noise. He hasn't been in the ALR game for months and months so my curiosity got the better of me.
Ugh. Not sure if I am going to stick it out......it took 10 minutes for him to (unprompted) bring up the fact that he's black and a big ol' minority and also did you know he's black?

Like dude. It's fine. Just talk about Amber. Nothing else matters we don't need half an hour of your SJW preaching beforehand.
 
It's like he uses his blackness as a shield because he's afraid of Amber's SJW fans coming after him like they do for Zach. He has the gold medal in the Amberverse Oppression Olympics, compared to Amber's silver and Zach+Justine's bronze. No one can touch him for hating on a fat, disabled lesbian because he's a fat, gay, black, man with some chronic hair condition.

I literally could not care less if you are purple, demisexual, quadriplegic, blind, an alien, fucking etc etc etc. IMHO it has no bearing at all on how funny your Amber Reaction video is going to be.

I just feel like it's so cringey when people start waving their race or sexuality or disabilities around for Pity Points in the SJW oppression olympics. Isn't that the exact OPPOSITE of what we were supposed to be fighting for like, not even five or ten years ago? Equality and to be treated like normal? Making a spectacle of yourself doesn't just make you but makes everyone else in the community look bad.

It's not cute to dump on Amber for being a shitty member of the LGBT+ community when you know....you are a frothing sperg about what a sparkly special snowflake tumblrina you are yourself.

But what's wrong with hating her because she's fat fatty mcfatterson, honestly? She's fat because she's a selfish, lazy, undisciplined toilet bowl of a human being. And if we hate her for the same things that made her a fatty-fatty two-by-four in the first place, is that really different from hating her because she's fat?

EDDF has it right, imo. Being inherently Fatphobic doesn't really have anything wrong with it. Why should anyone feel bad or wrong if they are afraid of morbid, life-threatening obesity? Especially the monstrous, deathfat levels of Hyper Class 5 human landslide levels of megafats that we see in AmberLynn or LifeByJen? Humans are MEANT to instinctively feel deep levels of fear or revulsion or disgust when witnessing something so overwhelmingly unhealthy and grotesque....it is clinically deeply deeply wrong and every evolutionary instinct embedded in our bodies & minds is telling us to get away as fast as possible.

Alan explains it better than I do (he has a whole playlist on his EDDF Youtube Channel about Fatphobia/Fat Acceptance) but I feel like you can apply that rationale of thinking as a whole to AmberLynn at a personal level too. She's a pig and a cow and an outright foul human being who lies, manipulates, gaslights, etc. But she's ALSO a 600+ pound fatty-fat-fat and we are absolutely here for the spectacle just as much as for her shit personality. Otherwise we wouldn't have Fanart or Ankle Sighting threads.

If that blurry picture wasn't identified as Amy I would totally believe it's Amber.

Only after closer examination do I see blue eyes, better eyebrows and the missing nose wart situation.
