I know Egg Gorl came up a few pages ago but I'm glad people are finally calling her and her trashy boyfriend out. The Amberverse is becoming as autistic as DSP's 'detractors' where they compete for attention bragging about how much better they are than the cow.

If any other cow was used as a tattoo on someone's ass then they'd be mocked to Hell and back. Everyone was too busy going YAAAAS GORL SLAY just because of the fact we all agree that AL is a joke. No shit, but you shouldn't try to make yourself into the bigger joke for some measly views. Almost all of the 'haydurs' grew desperate for patreon shekels the second they got over 5k subscribers. Embarrassing.

The second we'd hear about some tard getting Chris Chan tattooed on their ass, they'd have a thread here. Just sayin.

Edit: Holy shit I hadn't even seen Egg Gorl's channel before. Only 1.8K subscribers??? Those are levels of critical autism I hadn't thought possible.

I talked about this when it happened but I mean, they're already tattooed freaks. I don't think it's a big deal that he got one more stupid tattoo, especially on his ass where no one but egg gorl will see. But their behavior afterward, particularly egg manlet's attention whoring is very cringey

Not white knighting here but he clearly gets tattoos for trivial reasons. What's one more? It's not a big deal to him, even if it would be for you or me. I see it as far less cowish than trying to soapbox about SJW rightthink in a video ostensibly about a fat bitch who can't stick to a diet.

They say it's a reminder of what not to become. If they "need" such a reminder (I still think it was plain lolcow attention-grabbing move) they're probably not any better than her.

:powerlevel: I admit I may be biased as at some point I was a legit AL supporter. As a gorl myself I felt really empathetic, and I pitied her as I have never seen someone over 300 lbs outside of a screen. Still, these two seem extremely cowish to me.

I guess this is going to be maximum powerlevel but at the same time I think it's relevant to maybe understand how she still gets subscribers and supporters:

Her story with foster care and other sad anecdotes made me think her weight gain was somehow a result of trauma. I thought how terrible it must be to carry all that weight (emotional and physical) around. I discovered her when she was already with Necky so I didn't know about her previous laahs, accusations and lack of effort.

But then then I started noticing her weekly (sometimes daily) "last hurrahs", her contradicting herself in matter of days (eg wanting/not wanting WLS), her terrible attitude towards people... annnd I found out about the farms. That's basically it.
 
She counts on people having the same reaction to her that you did. That's how she got most of her followers back in the day... people felt bad for her because she had a shitty childhood and she weighs as much as a Volkswagen. Most people are empathetic and don't want to see someone suffer... and Amber is suffering. She's killing herself, in a very real way. But that pity never lasts when people see what a nasty, miserable cunt she is. She did an okay job hiding what a horrible person she was before Destiny left her, but it seems like since than, she's been doing her best to alienate the people like you were, who actually wanted her to get better and have a nice life.

Reminder, this woman has her Pee Wee Herman looking boyfriend with AL's face on his ass while he thrusts his meth dick into her. So congrats to you for thinking in your exceptional brain that this is somehow BETTER than her. I vote Aye for a thread on them. This is just attention whoring at it's finest.

Makes me wonder what she looks like.
 
I love Egg Gorl's work, and don't want to rag on her too much. Her boyfriend, though. Yikes. Someone here posted a link to his 6 hour livestream and it reminded me of that saying, "better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt". Did you guys know he used to make like 6 figures as a pipe cleaner? He also convinced one of his enemies to take a bullet for him. Real badass. :achievement:

I think if you want to be a 'Haydur Nation' channel, the smarter strategy is to focus on biting/funny/insightful commentary and check your ego at the door. It's a delicate balance to maintain, but the moment it becomes too much about you, that's when it veers into lowcow territory.

You can like someones work and not like the person behind it. I'm sorry she co-signs this behavior and is whoring out. I dont need someones voice or text over a video to know AL sucks. I like people who make funny edits and put in work on their videos, I could care less about a talking head.
 
I felt the same as you, @Keyboard Warrior... until that comment on Felix's video. Egg Gorl didn't have to do that. I saw the comments before the video was taken down, not a single person was asking 'who is that fat broad?'. Frankly, Pewdiepie doesn't have that kind of mean-spirited fan base.

It's not like anyone gave a shit who the fat blurred out person was. But just she had to advertise her channel inform everyone. Good job dummy, another opportunity for Amberlynn to play the victim. Eggfags are officially dead to me

e: To add (because I feel my post sounds hypocritical) I would have the same cringey feeling if a bunch of kiwis were commenting on that video YOU TOOK THAT INFO FROM KF! THEY BROKE THE STORY FIIIIIRST!

I don't think that really counts because every notable youtuber has some fans like that. Even precious angel reviewbrah has fans that say hilariously angry things to people who leave mean comments on his videos.
 
Keep in mind that one of the original functions of YouTube was to facilitate reaction videos. Until recently, they even displayed thumbnails of reaction videos alongside the original video. What these Amberlynn pundits are doing has a tradition at YouTube, even if it has been de-emphasized in recent years. I can certainly understand those who think reaction videos are dumb and don't want to watch them. I am a little surprised though at how strong the anti-reaction video sentiment is among some viewers. I picked up more "disagrees" on my mild post in which I said essentially "they are amusing for what they are" than I did on all my other posts combined. This isn't a whine or complaint, but it is a way of quantifying how strong the anti-reaction sentiment is.

I don't have a problem with Zach or Michael or (usually) Sarcastic Potato. I don't care if they monetize their videos or not (I never see ads on YouTube thanks to AdBlock, and they aren't paid for my view) None of them seem to rely on YouTube as their primary income; it seems they fell into it for much the same reason we are at Kiwi Farms-- they are 'fans' who want to talk about what they see. They seem close enough to being adult as this milieu allows. Some of their observations make me chuckle, just as posts here do (the posts here are funnier)

I haven't really watched any of the other reactionaries; there is a limit to how big I want my Amberlynn universe to be. I have noticed a lot of johnny-come-latelys turning up in my recommended feed; some of them seem more focused on gaining subscribers and ad revenue than are knowledgeable of their subject, and I can't be bothered. That includes the tattoo guy.

But I can't get worked up over any of this; it seems so trivial an issue, and it will sort itself out according to the law of supply and demand. I'm just a little surprised that some people seem actually angry about it.

@xenomorph and @SAVE TWINKIE! : I mean, that's fair. I don't know Egg Gorl as a person beyond what she puts out there into the Youtube Universe (like any of the other reaction channels). I'm just less inclined to shit on someone 'whoring' out their content, if what they offer has at least some tangible value. I appreciate the artistry and it doesn't seem like she's trying to coast solely on the strength of her personality, which is lazy and worthy of more condemnation in my view. I hear what you're both saying, though.

Its mostly because they powerlevel and love to claim over and over again how much better they are than AL is. Which is something we shun here at the farms. That is why a lot of people don't like them. Because they love telling you how much better they are and people act like those 5 people are the ultimate voices of AL critics all while trying to whore themselves out. I'd rather have people who don't show their faces and don't remind you over and over how "perfect" they are in comparison.

All of the talking heads do it and even some that dont show their faces like Amberlard reee's in the comment section all the time when people tell her to cut the powerleveling out.

They may powerlevel, but I don't get a sense that they think of themselves as perfect. They are reasonably self-effacing. I think they see themselves as average. I get what you are saying, but it just hasn't struck me as such a big thing. I don't want to imply that I think that watching them is a productive use of time, but I don't begrudge them their little hobby. They are like a wrap-up show after a ballgame, or something.
