I came across this article:
8 Things White Fans Can Do To Make Fandoms More Inclusive. There are some decent points, I have my own counter-parts.
1) Let a character be: We don't usually mind if you make a character another race as an artistic experiment, but constantly making them a mannish, ugly, fat tranny is pushing it. If the character is supposed to clearly be a CIS HET, white and attractive, please respect that.
2) Speaking of Designs: Your "less problamatic designs for female characters usually stink. They're too bland, casual and forget who they are and what they do.
3) Calm down on racial casting: We'll be fine with race-bent casting, but please stop throwing fits when an established character who is supposed to be white is casted with a white actor in a movie or show. It's not cool when you guys act like its the most disgust thing in the world.
4) Calm Thy Tits: (I felt dirty typing that.) Everything is not an attack or microagression against you or a certain group of people. Just because some guy(s) says a female PoC is his waifu, doesn't mean it's evil and racist.
5) Give us some love: We'll respect your feels if you also respect who we are. If whites are to constantly check their words, privileges and actions, why not do the same for us? Instead of acting like our views are tainted if we write about or draw a POC.
