I like how their big plan to keep themselves from going under wasn't trying to evaluate their message and perhaps reach a larger audience, but rather double down and keep pumping out the same crap but try and charge people even more for it. :story:

What the hell did they do with the funds they were already given? If you're smart with web design, it really shouldn't cost anymore than $50 a month to run a blogsite... and if it costs more than that, you are doing something horrendously wrong.

I mean yeah, have a Patreon running so that guest writers can be paid per article (just like in the real world btw- most journalists are often paid by the article, not through a salary with the only exception occurring if you work for a government funded news outlet).

A membership is a good idea in theory... but it should offer some actual perks such as being able to read the articles without viewing ads or being given free merchandise. Hell, merchandise in general would be a good thing to invest in- even Andywarski has merchandise!

The takeaway is "it's always someone (white peoples) else's fault for black people being poor". They can't ever accept responsibility for their actions.

Hmmm, I can see this as a "those who don't learn from the past"/history has a ripple effect, etc etc type of thing. Latin America has a LONG history of interference from the U.S. The relationship between the two regions is very complicated. I don't think I would go all the way back to the conquistadors and say -- "it's all your fault!", necessarily, but it's also a lot more than just "whitey done me wrong". So I don't agree with her, but there's definitely some history there. It's like the difference between blaming all white people for racism or attributing everything to slavery, vs. looking at the past and seeing how everything adds up, and putting it in context.
(Or think of it like Ireland and its relationship with the U.K., or the Balkans etc.)

Great, now I just defended an article on EF. Fuck, I feel dirty.

I've always wondered why so many lesbians feel the need to wear such unflattering styles, up to the point of making themselves look like stereotypical "macho men". I admit, I had not previously considered the possibility that it was some sort of rubber stamp to ensure the sisters you were "gay enough".

Anyway, these people are professional complainers. If they're ever satisfied, they lose all relevance.
