I bet it's they're regrouping so they can attempt a rebranding.

They'll bill themselves as a "brand new" feminist news source; you don't want to be a bad person who doesn't give a brand new feminist site a chance do you?

They're looking for more staff right now (1, 2, 3) so probably a rebranding.
It would have been hilarious if it all went down in flames but at least this way we'll still get those stupid listicles.

Wow. Prioritizing hiring new staff when a month aho your existing staff was forced to ebeg on video to keep their jobs. Sounds like a top work environment.

The irony is that when somewhere this unstable needs to hire female writers, the only women who can possibly afford a job that is on such thing ice is by being married to someone who is the breadwinner, so her contribution is just savings or the vacation fund.

This is the state of a lot of paying "feminist" concerns that pay a sub-living wage and exist on the knife's edge. Then people wonder why the women writing have such a sheltered and privileged perspective as to believe that the biggest problems for feminism are videogames and HBO.

But to be fair that "Reporting Fellowship" position also involves "cold calling all different types of people", presumably to persuade them to advertise at EF or for straight-face begging. If you have the gall for that, I'd say you earn your keep.

Staff like Matthew Wilkins (Kat Blaque) are probably demanding higher pay so they need to find chumps to write basically for free. Which is why they haven't had a new article in almost 2 weeks.

The market for bullshit intersectional feminism is dying.

That's actually pretty good pay for shit that is rarely over the level of the garbage you can see on some tumblrina's bitch blog.

No wonder they're going broke.

EF confirmed as a scam to spread around money to various troons and idiots.

$175 for a piece of buzzword-filled nonsense? Hell, sign me up. I could bang out one of those in an hour.

Any bets on EF getting Sokal'd?
I'm sure that's already happened. The EF crew aren't particularly bright and given how extreme their views are it probably wouldn't be hard for a deep cover troll to worm their way in and churn out intentionally ridiculous shit. Especially since they've had hiring events off and on for a while.

They published a new article and I hate to admit it but they really took it up a notch. This is a well researched, eloquent and touching piece on the importance of providing education to young girls in Cambodia.

lol, jk. It's just some hastily thrown together collection of links to old EF articles and more e-begging.

If I donated to them I'd be pissed right about now because this is utterly ridiculous. They needed money desperately to survive the month of May, get the money and then go for almost an entire month publishing nothing. This is shameless.

If you donated to them, you'd be on the same level as fools who donate to Chris.

It's exactly what should be expected from a group of people who believe their feelings are more important than those of everyone else and that they are entitled to special accommodations whenever they feel like it.

The Anita phenomena suggests that anyone dumb enough to donate to a cause like this will also be too chicken to call them out on not delivering, because no one wants to NOT support feminism

Most of these people's Patreons are dropping, though. I don't know about Anita, but Brianna Wu is well under $1,500 per month now.

Oh, they'll quietly redirect their patreons elsewhere... but no way will they say "Hey, Anita ripped me off."

Anyway, Anita's been distancing herself from gaming and has been desperately trying to jump on the "I hate Trump" bandwagon, which if it works will probably be quite lucrative.

That's exactly what they're counting on. They ask for free money, then when they don't deliver as promised they motte-and-bailey that shit into "criticizing us is akin to hating women. You don't hate women, do you?" and then they get away with whatever they want.

It won't. She got away with making money on video games because she kind of trailblazed that form of critiquing games. But she doesn't seem to have noticed that she's not exactly pioneering anything by criticizing Trump. She'll fade away into obscurity and once a year or so someone will see her blip on the radar and dredge up her thread to comment on it.

They're back! Great new article about how an FTM was triggered into a panic attack by all the gaslighting in a Disney movie.

That said:
Without another word, my partner put on Steven Universe – my go-to show, having watched every episode at least three or four times, its familiarity and charm never failing to calm me down.

Steven Universe. Fucking LOL; of course she's tits-deep into Steven Universe. And she turns to it for comfort after a Disney flick triggers her. Why are all of these people so absorbed in children's media, that they turn to it for comfort and inspiration? And I swear to god, how do these people even function, given how emotionally frail they are?
