One thing I've noticed is how naive the SJWs are about crime. Not every offender is a victim of society. Rich people can be thieves, not every killer was traumatized or has a tragic past, not every vandal hates the places they wreck, etc. Some people do these things because of simple greed, the thrill or just plain apathy.
Yes, every criminal is a victim of their circumstances and deserves compassion from society. That includes rapists, right?

How dare the white LGBT community not only start trying to be on good terms with the cops by forgiving them for their past sins and assimilating into society by proving that they're like regular people! Cops are evil, racist monsters who want to harass, arrest and kill us black people. (To the black posters here, is it really as bad as these people make it out to be?)

It's because they have zero life experience, so to speak.

Powerlevel/ I knew this guy who has been in and out of juvenile hall and is on his way to landing his ass in jail. He has committed various crimes (illegal firearm possession, underaged drinking, sexual assault and conspiracy to commit murder) and is only on his way to prison because he broke into a cop's house.

The funny thing is, this kid is the walking definition of what one would consider white male privilege; he lives a pretty comfortable life and never really had any hardships that would drive him to crime. He does it mostly because he gets a kick out causing his parents distress and likes the reputation of being the "Bad Boy".

No real mental health issue aside from being a little sociopath.

To be fair, if there really is an infamous proportion (even a small minority) of cops out there who are particularly prone to shooting unarmed minority people, I can understand why minorities might feel skittish around them. The sad thing is, those who live in high-crime neighborhoods would have to depend on a police force they couldn't necessarily trust not to kill them too.

That said, sometimes I wonder whether SJWs claiming to be "PoC" really are who they claim to be. I know from experience that people will lie about their race or ethnicity to win arguments on the Internet, not to mention the entire Rachel Dolezal case. And very often I find SJWs offended by things that the average non-European doesn't mind at all. "PoC" in my experience are not a hive mind whose opinions are always in line with the SJW consensus; they might agree that institutional racism is a problem that hurts them, but they aren't necessarily going to be triggered by the same pseudo-microaggressions that SJWs see everywhere.

Of course there are real minority SJWs out there. But when I see certain hyper-sensitive SJWs claiming to be minorities without posting selfies or any other confirming evidence, my gut reaction is to think they're appropriating an identity for brownie points.

Thing is, a lot of those articles have good points -- but they completely ruin them with the whole "priveledge" and "shaming" bullshit. It's like, address the actual problems with out all this stupid jargon. Then maybe people will take you seriously.

I know what you mean. Even those comics they do have a point, it's as you said, they ruin it by being themselves.

It's something you see with a lot of activists and slacktavists on both the left and right. I think on some level they don't want their pet problem to be solved. Because then what would they get mad about? So they subconsciously sabotage their own efforts.

It tips their hand in being more interested in clicks than addressing or fixing the actual problem itself.
Also the desire to make CISHet whitey look bad no matter what (in the comics). They can't make ever make a good point in a comic while every other groups are the ones that are right. Heck, even Captain Planet let Wheeler not be an idiot every now and then.

It feels like early on when they first came up with things like "privilege", there was a valid point to them. But slowly over time they simply became weapons to beat down dissent without having to make an actual argument. I could take it seriously if the rules were applied equally, but they aren't. When they say shit like "black people can't be racist", or "there's no such thing as female privilege", that goes right out the door. The funniest thing is that the one-way-street rules they use to turn social justice into a weapon are the kind of overt racism and sexism you rarely see outside of somewhere like Stormfront.

Most of the articles are horribly written. I find myself cringing when they write in first person ( mainly because you're not supposed to in the field of journalism"

Everyday Feminism doesn't pretend to be "journalistic" even in the Kotaku sense of the term.

Journalism is dead. Only clicks matter.

A lot of words in the SJW lexicon are magic words that mean, "I'm morally superior to you, therefore I win by default and you have to stop talking." They get away with this because they have a hugbox to reinforce this insane world view.

It doesn't seem to be that interested in Feminism with any level of depth more a shotgun blast of 'in' social issues at the moment (specifically race)and knee-jerk reactions to them. It seems to be aiming for inter sectional (insectionalisms a bit of a mess at the best of times) sex-negative femminism but is so badly executed it comes across as racist and misandrist. I'd genuinely suggest anyone interesting in women/black/whatever rights avoid this like the plague as it's a badly written mess.

They are more sexually positive if it's the right kind of people. Like the ones that are polyamorous (sp), lesbians or have fancy titles like genderqueer.

The way Everyday Feminism works is to get you to click one of the clickbait links on Facebook, read it, become outraged at all the EVIL SHITLORD THINGS YOU HADN'T EVEN NOTICED & then pay to do a course in Self Love or Relationships so you can overcome it.

It's no different to a mechanic claiming your car has a massive problem you didn't even know about when you take it in for an oil change & charging you $500 to 'fix' the non existent problem.

Well at least that explains why it's academically bankrupt-it's a sales pitch.

I'd even compare it to Scientology. They tell you how awful your life is and then charge you to join their cult to you can be "happy".

I remember when the guilt-tripping of sites like this used to make me feel genuinely guilty.
