His fixation on his CAER stuff is pretty sad. I'm actually glad that it only results in him listening to a police scanner and making videos, at least.

If he were actually out patrolling, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he got someone killed due to his nonexistent training and pathetic physical condition.
 
I don't get why he thinks CAER even needs to be a thing around his area.

Civillian Radio Patrols are mostly only relevant in super rural areas, like in Kentucky, West Virginia, ect.

They're mostly in areas where the only emergency help within a half hour is Sheriff Jumbo and his deputy Bubba. And they might be busy.

So when someone hits a tree going down yeehaw hill and calls for help, the sheriff might be an hour away.

That's where Radio Patrols come in. Sheriff Bubba will fire up the radio to see who can help. Hopefully, he'll get a hold of 'Ol Cletus who's 5 minutes away from yeehaw hill to fire up his huge-ass truck and go help.

The differences between this and Emergency Blob are:

  • Legit patrols have a good relationship with local First Responders and will be asked for help. They don't stalk Police Scanner traffic.
  • Most people in these patrols are retired Police, Fire, EMTs, doctors, military, and so on. They're usually pretty respected in their communities and are all well trained and in decent shape.
  • These folks don't try to race cops to accident scenes and get in the way. They wait to be asked to help, do what's needed and go home.
Blob is clearly in this as some sort of power trip and "Look! I'm helping people! Praise me!" combo.
 
From some of his comments he seems to have a real contentious relationship with the police over his CAER program. I don't remember where but it seems like he's gotten into fights with the State Police. He claims he's allowed to be on the scene due to Good Samaritan laws.
 
Seems OH samaritan laws require you to provide assistance if it does not put you at risk, one of only 10 states that require this. In the other 40 you are not required to extend assistance. There's the usual get out that once professionals are on-scene, you don't have to stop and give aid. As to RLM's contentious relationship with authorities, that's probably not a surprise for most folks - his psych report: no respect for authority, his threat to kill the mayor, his general obnoxious asshattery in his dealings with pretty much everyone else in the world.

As JHA says - people don't hate you for preaching God's word, they hate you because you're an ass...

From the First Responders I talked to, CAER and similar organizations in non-rural areas are nuisances at best.

Remember Shaner and the autistic "Railfans" who enraged pretty much everyone associated with railroads? This CAER nonsense is the same thing, only it's with cops/firefighters/paramedics.

And it can get people hurt/killed. I heard stories of CAER-style idiots blocking ambulances off from accident scenes, causing ADDITIONAL accidents by poorly attempting to direct traffic, and one occasion where they caused a small fire by tossing a hazard flare too close to leaking gasoline.

They're basically Foamers who stalk first responders to feel powerful, look important, and to get asspats.

Bob is currently on a rampage, deleting/removing videos left and right. I'd thought at first, that he was just scrubbing Rene's medical stuff from his channel, but it's bigger than that. Way bigger. A little under two dozen videos are missing from my private playlist, and some of those vids are pretty classic. The bacon + sausage cooking videos, gone. More recently, That Rene + Bob Freakout Video I posted/summarized, also gone.

I'm grabbing stuff. If you have the ability, you should back up your favorite RLM vids.

If anybody knows how to retrieve the titles of deleted videos from a playlist, could you let me know?

If this marks the end of The Golden Age of McKim, then it was a hell of a run.

Damn it, every fucking time I take a break from the Farms some shitstorm strikes...

I'm not too worried though. Certainly it is a shame if some of the old classics have been lost. But what I think has happened is that some authority figure, a pastor or a police officer Bob has been whining and complaining to, finally sat him down and drove it into his head that those videos were just screaming into the storm and it would be best to take them down.

Now, considering all we know about him, how he reacts to outside advice and how good he is at picking his battles... I'm pretty confident he'll be back.
 
Maybe we're going to see him ramping up his Facebook ministry again.

As with anything like this the primary question is "how have you been damaged financially?"
- Did you get turned down for a loan? - no, because your credit is so bad, nobody with half a brain cell will loan you cash. At this point I doubt a loan shark would loan RLM cash.
- Have you been billed/penalized/fined for a financial transaction you did not enter into? - no, because people are only doing this to troll your dumb ass.

Bottom line is RLM's identity isn't worth jack.
 
He's baaaaack....

Mostly Scripture-sperging until about 12:30, when he starts ranting about Liquid Bob. He thinks that because YouTube hasn't canceled the pseudo-Bob troll-channel, that it might be an "inside job" by YouTube itself to mock his teachings. Pastor Slob even speculates that his phone might be tapped!
Doubtless the next round of weenery will make him even more paranoid....
 
Current household theory on his missing videos is - RLM is watching his back catalog, and removing any videos where he could be accused of hate speech or threats. He can't be suing folks for these things, when you can just turn around and point at his videos and claim that he started it. There were a couple of videos where he was on a rant about people being mean to him, in one he mentioned in passing that he has a gun (which could be a threat by association), but there was another where he did make explicit threats with a baseball bat.
 
Ooops he's lost it again - new video today, main takeaways:
- RLM is a hoarder
- he's complaining about being doxed, except he's the one who broadcast his own information.
- and he's preaching with one hand on the pulpit and a fist to the face - huh more threats.
- and he had to take the CB radio test 3 times, so he had to study to get it.
- and he's not laughing anymore - but then again I don't think I remember him ever laughing.

It was good to hear Midnight chiming in near the 2:40 mark. Whenever a few videos go by with no sign of the poor kitty, I start to worry.
