Loved the "stance on abortion":
- life begins at conception
- the only reason to have an abortion is to save the life of the baby or to save the life of the mother.
So does someone here have some more reliable medical knowledge than our good doctor RLM - because I don't see any way that an abortion can "save the life of the unborn child"?

I think he just thinks that abortion means "taking the baby out", so even inducing premature labor for medical reasons. I don't think he realizes that abortion has one goal in mind.

LMFAO he thought I meant his skin and not the clear BBQ sauce spittle on his cheek.

Also with the amount of computers Rene gets she probably used up all her keys. A lot of the home editions only let you use it 10 times before its void.

I was thinking it was a shaving cut, perhaps a physical manifestation of all the recent stress and torment? But that could also be the fact, that I had Sherlock on in the background at the time.

The fucking muzak at the beginning.

Edit: Does he actually think anyone other than trolls are watching these videos? Because he talks like he thinks someone is watching these videos seriously. What an idiot. Bob everyone is laughing at how much of an idiot you are. No one, absolutely no one, takes you seriously.

1:43 - I love the stress sigh ((:_() he gives when he comes across a word he can't say.

8:50 - He rants about abortion again and then talks more about Rene's problems. Apparently her "mother made her get her tubes tied". Jesus, what a life.

Rest of the video is just religious nuttery and awkward silences. Not worth watching.

Hoe-Lee-Shit, this write-up got big. Like, way bigger than I'd planned.

I'm talking about following up that previous post, about McKim, Police/authority and REACT: https://kiwifarms.net/threads/evangelist-dr-robert-mckim-sr.18655/post-1375520 – here's a link to that post, if you'd like to revisit or you're new.

Long story short- it's all about why REACT, and CB Radio, are so important to him.

This follow-up has taken a lot longer than expected, because my operating theory on the guy has changed quite a bit since Part One. I'm still standing by pretty much everything I wrote previously, it's just IMO Mr. McKim is less paranoid than I originally supposed.
So first off, thought I'd drop a word or two about how I'm doing this- I'm going to try my best to avoid value judgments and negative characterizations... In fact, I'm going to advocate on his behalf, when intellectually justifiable. At some point on this journey, I wound up developing a weird sort of affection for the ornery ole bastard.

There are these vids where he discusses police, authority, government, etc. which I feel kind of threw me off the scent, when I briefly went down a right-wing “New World Order” rabbit hole. I'm back now, and I think I've concluded that he's mostly just parroting cookie-cutter right-wing shit he's heard on the Jim Bakker (et al) Show. I'd be interested in other people's take on that. I'll post those vids at the end, and you can judge for yourself.
Anyway, I feel like the key to understanding this guy, starts with putting yourself in his shoes.
First off, I'm no clinician, but it's obvious to me he displays behavior consistent with dyslexia- the instances of this are too numerous to mention/link. But consider his infamous, “You will never be as perfect as [CWC].” It seems to me like he saw that there was a “p, e, c,” and a “t,” correlated that with the word length, and guesstimated the word to be “perfect.” In those sections of video where he reads from the Bible, pay attention and I think you'll agree he infers what words are from the first couple of letters and the context. (Also think of the time he spelled, “sellulitus” <sic> while staring right at the word)

I'd like to point out that none of this has anything to do with intelligence. I've got (dyslexic) friends that probably couldn't spell "neighbor" correctly, and they're far from stupid. They, and he, have trouble reading words, and AFAIK there isn't really much they can do about it, except come up with workarounds. Like say, listening to audio books instead, or inferring what a word is, from its context, and the first 1-3 letters.

You can hear how agonizing it is for him, the reading... Ever see his bible, with all those highlighted passages? Likely a reading aid- sometimes word/sentences/lines “drop” on the page for dyslexics, and tracing the sentence word to word, like with a finger or pencil tip, can help mitigate this problem.

No joke, I have a lot of respect for how dedicated he his to reading that Bible. I don't know that I've struggled with anything that mentally difficult in the past year, and he's doing that shit on a daily basis. (I think reading Luke L McGee might be a good dyslexia simulator! https://kiwifarms.net/threads/luke-ledgerd-mckee-hojuruku.18836/)

I think I can say, without malice or personal agenda, that Robert L. McKim doesn't live in the most cosmopolitan/intellectual part of the USA, and we've made a lot of social progress since the era in which he was raised. This is to say, I find it unlikely that his learning disability was recognized by his teachers and family, as a biological anomaly in his brain. Considering how quick he is to mention every other problem he's been diagnosed with, I feel this is a solid assumption.

In fact, I think we can safely assume that people have been calling Robert L. McKim stupid and/or lazy, for his entire life: it's been his family, his friends and acquaintances, pretty much everybody that knows him, and interacts with him, and quite possibly his teachers growing up too . A lot of kids with cognitive disorders get told they're lazy and stupid, by people that don't know any better, or total fucking assholes that like bullying kids.
Point number 1 - McKim has probably been called stupid and/or lazy, for his entire life. And by people he cares about. Frequently.
As much as I'm trying to be fair to him, I can't find a way to sugar-coat the fact that Mr. McKim has repeatedly displayed phenomenally poor judgment. He seems incapable of understanding how his predicaments are the result of his own doing: stolen phones, toilet bombs, soliciting money from strangers, threatening the mayor. And the fact that he doesn't understand why/how these things keep happening to him, doesn't stop him from complaining about it, loudly. On the internet.

I'm thinking if you knew him IRL, and you had to listen to him bitch all the time, I bet you'd get tired of his shit and tell him off. Hell, that's where JHA lives! "Bob, STFU and be a man."

Also, consider all the doctors in his life, and what it is that doctors do. Among other things, they tell you what you're doing wrong, and what you need to do to correct it. “Your diet is too high in salt and fat. You need diet and exercise to lower your BP and mitigate the 'beetus.”
Point number 2 - there is a veritable Greek chorus of voices shouting, “Bob! This shit is all your fault, and not anyone else's, because what you're doing is wrong! This is how you need to do things, from now on. ” Implied in this, of course, is “Bob you're stupid and you should listen to me because I'm smart and you're dumb.”

Point number 2.5 - Also because they think he's dumb, and they're tired of his constant shit, nobody (save Rene) listens to RLM, and nobody values his opinion. (that's why REACT was such a big deal)
Next I'd like to make a generalized point about... people of lesser agency, I guess? Folks that are measurably less successful in life? Lolcows in general?

Consider CWC's Green County Conspiracy, the army of trolls conspiring against him, and his autism itself. These elements have, in a way, become an armor of sorts. The legion of enemies arrayed against him, protect him from the conclusion that, “Sonichu sucks, almost everything I do sucks, and my life sucks big duck. And it's not anyone's fault but mine, and maybe shitty genetics.”

But if there's a global conspiracy keep him down? That explains why he can't get a girlfriend, while simultaneously casting himself as a poor, sympathetic victim. It says, "Hey- you're okay. They're the problem."

Bob's doubled down on this, like CWC. He also believes in a vast conspiracy, keeping him down/poor, but he's added on his own, very real/painful medical issues on top of that. I think, that's why he talks about that shit so often, and immediately after any discussion of job/work. The Conspiracy, and the medical issues, explain his situation, and even insulate him from failures.

And of course, there's the whole suffering/Christianity thing. Obviously. With all these troubles he becomes more Christ-like, and closer to God. God's enemies become Bob's enemies, and vice versa.
Point number 3 - The Conspiracy and the Medical Issues are of tremendous comfort, reassuring him that nothing is actually his fault. “Hey, considering how the deck is stacked against me, I'm actually doing pretty well for myself! If it weren't for the anti-Christians, the sodomites and my dang scoliosis, I'd be Rupert Murdoch!"

To be continued... https://kiwifarms.net/threads/evangelist-dr-robert-mckim-sr.18655/post-1386231

I've been going through Dr. Blob's Facebook again looking for interesting morsels and I found a few things, but I'm just going to post a couple for now so I can organize everything into something cohesive.

I found a couple of videos that he posted to his Facebook, not YouTube, and he actually sounds fairly rational and sane. The first one talks about his life and history and stuff like that and the content is a bit weird, but his tone and everything else is much saner than you see in his later videos. The second one is a tour of his mobile home and talking a bit about the problems with it. What I found interesting was that John seems to still have a fairly good relationship with Bob at this point and even tells Bob he loves him. Actually, for all of 2011 they seem to be on good terms and Bob and Rene seem involved with her family quite a bit. One member of her family (I think her sister) calls Bob out on his shit quite a bit, but there's not a lot of animosity. Same with Bob's family. He talks a bit about his sons and dad not being reliable, but it seems like he does have quite a bit to do with them.
Mod edit: There were two videos here that weren't saved in any archive. Saving the links for future reference.

Speaking of videos, and I'm sorry if this was already posted, I found a video where he talks about the incident with the sick girl and how he got a call from the sheriff for soliciting money from her family. I also found a couple of posts on Facebook about it to add some more information.

Anyways, I'll post some more of the stuff I found as soon as I organize it. For now, I leave you with some hilarious pictures of Pastor Porky and one of his secret shames.

That's actually perfect- it kind of ties in with my previous post.
Instantly, that thing about calling the grandparents. You look healthy! “I'm tired of people looking with their eyes! Instead of with their heart!” Starts talking about maladies. Interesting to note he seems marginally more acute. The beetus has really done a number on him. 4:03- SSI talk, $66/mo. 5:08- talks about the call. It happened that morning? 6:18- first mention of JHA. 7:00 rene stuff. “She's going to college, shes going to get a better job.” 8:00- got turned in by ppl that don't care! End- “A career is what I have.” Key piece of history – Speaks about his arrest.
John is still being surprisingly supportive
That is interesting.
That's fucking epic.

Going to go ahead and post another video that pairs nicely with 31 October 2011, as well as my previous post...
10 March 2016 – NEW WORLD ORDER

Starts in Uniform! Security! 1:15- Diploma.1992- 4:02- another certificate... Then Jesus is coming and sinners are in trouble. 5:34- social work diploma. 6:40 anti-John “thinks he's better than me, because he was in the army.” Even ppl in the church, think they're better than Rmc. 7:40- GOVT talk ! Who's really running things? Lawyers about 3 US branches of G. “They're trying to tell us how to live.” 9:15- CB operator chatting in background about medical probs- wonder what % of CB operators are older + infirm? 9:53 = intro to Cliven Bundy. 10:30 – NWO is coming! 11:27 Video of shooting... takes until 21m to finish. 21m- FB comment reviews. RIGHT- Bacca B Good, keep forgetting to look into that dude, but doubt he's troll. Quoting Hebrew bible is enough to piss off. 23m- says New T is written in greek, but later (othr vid) adds aramaic + latin? 25:30 mentions Rene getting visit from Caresource. Also, people don't understand “Concrete breaks up! Plywood crumbles!”
Anyway, like I said earlier, my read on his NWO stuff is that it's pretty much vanilla Infowars type shit, and it's largely a dead-end, when trying to understand Dr. Reverend IMO. It doesn't even seen that well-formed within his own head, even by his standards. I mean, it seems like he spends less than 30 seconds talking about it. He doesn't even sound that convinced, to me, just sorta mad. The New World Order crap, I mean.

On the other hand, I think he's dead convinced that: the parking ticket with his ex-wife, getting arrested for threatening the mayor, troubles with Newcomerstown PD, Carrol County Sheriffs Dept, getting talked-too for soliciting help from that girl's parents, getting told to get the junk off his lawn- all of that happened, because of that one time that he and the Ohio State Patrol Officer told off the Newcomerstown PD in The REACT Incident.

From watching his videos, it's fairly obvious that his #1 subject is himself. He also likes to tell long stories (even the shortened versions). His calls to various call centers are painful - the guys/gals on the other end of the line are saints (I'd be like "I don't need your life story just ask a question"). So it's really not surprising that the grandparents of the sick girl thought he was soliciting - his opening sentence probably started with a few seconds of "how's your granddaughter" and then went into a multiple minute diatribe about how he was born with the same problems, and that he can't work because of it, and because he can't work he has problems paying for his medications. And long story short, 15 minutes later he stops to take a breath.

Add to which many of his videos come across as asking for money, or to help him with you supplying the work, tools and materials free of charge, all the while claiming that he's not asking for a handout. His delivery is entirely wrong footed and almost always likely to be taken the wrong way. I would come away from such a phone call with the impression that he only used the sick granddaughter as an excuse to talk about himself, his problems and his lack of money - thus drawing the conclusion that all he wanted was money.

Yep, feels like he buys into this NWO/"Christians are persecuted in America" stuff because he likes to blame others for his problems and not the other way around. And Christian talk radio and other similar sources push that shit so hard nowadays that you don't really need to go and actively look for it from Infowars or other places.

See, that's the most deplorable thing about him imo. I feel sorry that he's clearly dyslexic and is probably in some amount of pain, and I even feel bad that his wife is one common cold away from being a vegetable. But it's pretty obvious that even when he thinks he's being charitable, it's only to suit his own purposes. You know what he would have done if that call went well? Added it to his long list of "credentials", like he's an actual prophet or some shit. And then complained that nobody respects his prophecies enough to donate all of their time, money, and attention to him.

It's really telling that even when he's trying to accomplish something by talking to others, he absolutely can't help but to spout off his usual "I am a disabled Christian minister psychologist CB radio operator and prophet and social security isn't paying me enough to eat bacon and sit on my ass" spiel. He could be donating his canned goods to a shelter and immediately open up dialogue with a worker about how the battered women living there have it so much easier than him. On a good day, he's still selfish at his very core. And a horrible representative for Christians.

I don't have the screen grabs to back it up right now (but I can absolutely find them), but back in 2011 he talks a LOT about how people have always just assumed he's lazy, but he's not, he's disabled and all he wants is someone to help him and understand that he's not lazy. Also, regarding Rene and her schooling, I have some grabs at home where he talks about how they wouldn't pay for her schooling because she doesn't meet the requirements (which I believe are a 2.0 or higher GPA and 67% minimum attendance rate) which is unfair because of how sick she is and they expect her to pay out of pocket now, etc.

There's also a couple of posts back then (especially in regards to the lack of fuel situation that I believe he mentions in one of the videos I posted) where he actually asks for money and says he's not asking for money, he's asking for help or something like that. There's also a post about how his church won't give him money so he asked another pastor for help and they said to go ask his own church and told him he was going to hell because he wasn't married etc etc.

I'm not sure if it's because he was less Bob-ish back in 2011 or because he was just starting out on Facebook, but you can see an actual progression from "hey, my life kind of sucks, but life is good" to the constant complaining and whatnot that we're used to. If you guys need/want, I can absolutely go back and grab the proof.
