A man stormed the stage while the UK's entry, SuRie, was performing at the Eurovision Song Contest.

SuRie was performing her song Storm when a man wearing a rucksack ran onto the stage, grabbed her microphone, and appeared to say: "Nazis of the UK media, we demand freedom."

He was swiftly dragged off stage and SuRie continued performing the song.

SuRie was given the chance to sing again after the final entry's performance but declined.

The BBC said: "SuRie and her team are extremely proud of her performance and have together decided that there is absolutely no reason to perform the song again."

The European Broadcasting Union, which runs the show, said the person responsible for the stage invasion is in police custody.

The Eurovision 2018 final in Lisbon, Portugal, is being watched by an estimated TV audience of 200 million.

After the incident Graham Norton, who is presenting the UK's coverage, said: "There was a stage invasion, SuRie coped incredibly well.

"I can't stress enough what a brilliant job she did - she must have been terrified."

The 29-year-old was praised on Twitter for her composure and ability to continue after the stage invasion.

Watch him get 12 points from Malta too.

What a retarded fucking sperg.

I anticipate a shitty gofundme to be setup within the hour.

How terribly cynical is it of me to think this is a staged event to benefit SuRie? I mean I already believe the whole thing is rigged like the Oscars and Grammy's, but that's normal.

I think I speak for everyone when I say: What the fuck is Eurovision?
I think I speak for the UK and Ireland when I say you really...REALLY dont wanna know.

Just pray that it doesnt randomly become trendy with US media hipster types and thus gets splattered all over everything there for a few months

basically imagine every cringy shoulda-been-left-in-the-70s europop/eurofolk/kitch music schtick, add a few quarts of raw pig semen, make everyone in continental europe really fucking smug about it being some kind of big deal, and then film every goddamn moment, and have guardian tier middle class "artiste" wannabe newspapers waiting breathlessly on the sidelines and mewling over how cultured and sophisticated europe is, and how sweden is the most progressive utopia on the planet for having a singer dance with (get ready for it) A BLACK MAN on stage (no, that article is not an elaborate parody, though take note of the general pre-brexit sneering "feelthy bigot brexiteers cannot comprehend the progressive majesty of muh-europe tone for some shadenfreude)

It's as near as some eurofags are ever going to get to understanding european politics and sociological trends.

"X country got slammed by X region so they must hate each other!"

It's essentially a really camp bitch fight between nations - often with really cheesy and weird musical performances.

Also take note of how the UK and Ireland, AKA the two European nations that actually have a history of regularly churning out both world class bands/music/innovations AND well made and massively lucrative soulless corporate pop music, regularly have sent in very literal joke acts to the event, just to demostrate the level of contempt for everyone there.

I mean...10 years ago ireland literally just sent a fucking turkey puppet along with backup dancers

No thread about Eurovision should go without a mention of the greatest entry ever:
