My favorite European nationIsrael (part of the European Broadcasting Corporation) came in second place.
members of european broadcasting union dont have to be europeanMy favorite European nation
Or Australia and Japanmembers of european broadcasting union dont have to be european

If only the UK had done the same thing and showed at the same time as Eurovision on Saturday night. Would have been much better as much as the Ireland showing was a protest because of Israel's entry. Not that it really did much, Irish viewers can easily just watch the BBC feed through a VPN or through their TV if they have access to certain channels. My personal favorite is Ireland who submitted My Lovely Horse from that Father Ted episode instead of broadcasting this shit.

I gave one point for UK. I thought their song & performance warranted it.If only the UK had done the same thing and showed at the same time as Eurovision on Saturday night. Would have been much better as much as the Ireland showing was a protest.
"Look Mum One Point" might have escaped the dreaded nil points overall but it's just another failure in a long list of UK entries that get automatic entry because the BBC throws silly money at this thing courtesy of the TV licence fee. Things would be a lot better if they had to fight it out in the semi finals, because the UK entry would actually have to be tolerable for once.
Has to be funny that it was Ukraine that gave them that one point though. Throwing billions into Zelensky's cocaine addled slush fund every few months gets you....exactly one point.
