Dresden knife attack likely motivated by Islamic extremism

German police say they have arrested an asylum seeker suspected of killing one person and wounding another in Dresden two weeks ago. Prosecutors are now treating the deadly stabbing as a possible terrorist attack.

A 20-year-old Syrian who stabbed one person to death and wounded another in Dresden was likely motivated by Islamic extremism, German prosecutors said on Wednesday.

The man was arrested on Tuesday evening, police and prosecutors in the eastern German city said. They said the suspect came to authorities' attention as a result of examining evidence at the crime scene.

"Investigations have shown that the dreadful killing in Dresden had an Islamist background," Justice Minister Christine Lambrecht said. "Islamist terror is a major, enduring threat to our society that we have to tackle determinedly."

According to the Bild newspaper, that evidence was DNA traces found on the attack weapon, which police discovered not far from the scene of the October 4 crime. The paper said the suspect's DNA was already recorded in police databases and cited a prosecutor as saying that the man already had a police record.

Fatal attack

The authorities said the suspect had an extensive criminal record, including charges of soliciting support for a foreign terrorist organization, and charges of bodily injury, and making threats.

The Dresden stabbing "draws attention, once again, to the dangers of Islamist violence" said Germany's Interior Minister Horst Seehofer.

"Utmost vigilance is necessary, whatever the form of extremism and terrorism."

The alleged attacker came to Germany in 2015 and applied for asylum, according to Der Spiegel magazine. Even though his application was rejected, he has managed to stay in Germany under the so-called "tolerated" status which German authorities give to rejected asylum seekers who cannot be deported.

The two victims, both from the western state of North Rhine-Westphalia, were visiting Dresden together. One 55-year-old man died of his injuries in hospital, while a 53-year-old survived despite having been badly wounded.

Sweden: Syrian national who raped 12-year-old girl in a public toilet sentenced to gender talks; avoids deportation and jail time

A young Syrian man has managed to avoid deportation and jail time after being convicted by a Swedish court of raping a 12-year-old girl inside a public toilet in the city of Borås.

The Borås District Court earlier this week sentenced Mustafa, aged 18, to ‘youth care’ meetings, which introduce offenders to subjects on gender, societal norms and emotions, for the rape of a 12-year-old in February of this year, Nyheter Idag reports.

Prior to the rape, Mustafa and the young girl had first contacted each other on the popular social media app Snapchat — a messaging app that lets users exchange pictures and videos that disappear after they’re viewed. According statements read during court proceedings, Mustafa had first contacted the young girl, claiming that he wanted a “friend with whom he could practice his Swedish”.

The two first met one another on Feb. 27 at a playground in Annelundsparken, in Borås, where he promptly took the young girl to a public toilet before raping her.

During an interview with police, the young victim recounted how the Syrian man had ripped off her pants, overpowered her, and raped her. The perpetrator, however, denied ever having been inside the toilet. He also claimed to have been ignorant of the girl’s real age. However, based on the information that was obtained from the chat history between him and the young girl, the district court knew Mustafa’s claim to be false.

According to documents obtained by that the conservative Swedish news outlet, Mustafa had first come to Sweden via Greece during the height of the migrant crisis in 2015-2016.

The court, after convicting Mustafa of child rape and sexual harassment, handed him an extraordinarily light sentence – 150 hours of youth care, which involves ten conversations over three months where relationships, gender norms, emotions, the “Pyramid of Violence”, and other topics are discussed.

"An opinion obtained from the social services shows that Mustafa has a special need for care and that he has agreed to the youth contract comprising ten conversation meetings that the social services have proposed. Against this background, the district court considers that the most appropriate sanction is the proposed youth care," the district court wrote.

The Syrian migrant had been previously known to authorities for prior convictions, including one for filming a man in the shower and uploading the video to Snapchat.

Earlier this week, two Syrian migrants who were convicted of a serious crime, and like Mustafa, also avoided deportation and jail time. The two were a part of a trio of Syrian men who were convicted of assault and hate crimes after they brutally beat a gay couple who had been holding hands at Gothenburg Central Station. Despite having prior criminal records, two of the three perpetrators managed to avoid having to spend any time inside of a jail cell, and were not handed deportation orders by the judge, Remix News reported.

Also, earlier this week, on Monday Oct. 19, Sweden’s Ångermanland District Court sentenced Sudanese national Abubaker Mohamad Awad to life in prison for the murder of 19-year-old Tommie Lindhn and rape of a young female.

The issue of migrant crime in Sweden has become a major political topic, with the country experiencing a substantial increase in serious violent offenses, including gangland murders and bombings in recent years. Data shows that migrants are also overrepresented in sexual assault crimes in Sweden.

Syrians are the most likely to commit acts of violence in Germany

Foreigners who commit acts of violence in Germany are most often of Syrian origin and, last year, 37.5 percent of all perpetrators suspected of committing violent crimes were foreigners, according to data from the German Federal Ministry of the Interior.

Among the perpetrators of violent crime, Syrians were the most represented nationality at 12.2 percent. The data were provided by the Federal Ministry of the Interior in response to a request of Alternative for Germany (AfD) Bundestag member Stephan Brandner. German news outlet Junge Freiheit also received the data.

In 2009, the share of Syrians involved in acts of violence was 0.9 percent, however, in 2015 and 2016, this number increased significantly from 3.6 percent to 9.8 percent. With the Syrian population estimated at 800,000 out of a country of 83 million, Syrians account for less than one percent of the German population bot over 12 percent of all violent crime. While magazines like Germany's Der Spiegel have written on the impact of Syrians on German society, such sobering crime statistics are remarkably absent from the magazine's reporting.

Turks, Afghans, and Syrians most likely to commit murder among foreigners

At 12 percent, Turks were the second most common suspects for violent crimes in 2019. In 2009, they made up 34.1 percent of all suspects. Afghans were the third nationality most frequently suspected of committing a violent crime with a share of 7.5 percent in 2019. However, as in the case of the Syrians, between 2015 and 2016, the number of suspects of Afghan nationality jumped from three percent to 6.5 percent.

When it comes to homicides, Turks, Syrians, and Afghans also took the top three places among the non-German suspects. However, the number of Turkish nationals committing such a crime has steadily decreased since 2013. The share of Syrians, however, has increased tenfold since 2010.

In the past year, the number of Syrians suspected of committing a sex crime was relatively the highest at 12.4 percent. Since 2015, this number has roughly tripled. Turkish nationals were the second most frequently accused of such crimes, with Afghans following in the third place as their share has more than doubled since 2015.

The Federal Ministry of the Interior explained the numbers with differences in the social structure. According to the ministry, foreigners are "on average younger and more often male" compared to the rest of the German population. They usually live in large cities and mostly belong to the lower-income and less educated classes. On top of that, they are often unemployed.

Brandner called such reasoning "ridiculous and embarrassing." In the listed violent crimes, 31.7 percent of the non-German suspects came from the three Muslim countries alone.

"The fact that the federal government wants to gloss over the figures with crude excuses is tantamount to a denial of reality," he said.

"Merkel and her supporters have by no means brought skilled workers into the country in the wake of the asylum crisis, but many thousands of violent criminals," criticized the AfD politician.

Over the past few years, Syrians committing acts have repeatedly sparked outrage. In August, a Syrian migrant participating in an illegal street race was arrested for hitting and killing a 6-year-old boy with his Mercedes. This month, A 20-year-old Syrian who came to Germany as a refugee in 2015 recently stabbed two tourists in downtown Dresden in what is believed to be a terrorist attack, with one of them later succumbing to the injuries.

Another Syrian immigrant terrorist suspect in Germany requires around-the-clock surveillance from law enforcement, including police details to bring him to the supermarket, which has already cost taxpayers €5 million.

Afghan family stabbed victim 90 times in bus murder to 'preserve honor', says prosecutor

An Afghan father and his two sons have been charged with a brutal bus murder in Kiruna, Sweden, that occurred this summer. Prosecutor Lindha Strömberg states that the murder was an honor killing.

"The 20-year-old victim had had a relationship with the father's wife. The motive to preserve honor was a factor in the case," says Strömberg.
Last week, on Thursday, the trial for the father and his two minor sons began. According to Strömberg, the three of them murdered a 20-year-old man on July 15 in central Kiruna. The victim was chased into a bus where he was beaten and received over 90 stab wounds, resulting in his death.

"The father and the sons worked together to kill the 20-year-old in a very dramatic way in a public environment. All three are involved and the investigation shows that two of them have used knives while the third has been involved in other ways in the planning and execution of the act," Strömberg says in a press release.
She believes that one of the motives for the crime was to preserve the family's honor.

The two sons are also charged with assault for trying to threatening witnesses with violence if they spoke with the police.
The father is an Afghan citizen and the two sons also have Swedish citizenship. Strömberg demands that the father be deported for life.
She told Nyheter Idag was she believes honor was behind the murder.

"On the one hand, they grew up in an 'honor culture', and they themselves talk a lot about honor and say that honor is important. The clear motive for the crime is that the father believes that his wife and the boys' mother has had a relationship with this victim," says Strömberg.
The mother is currently in an undisclosed location and under police protection.
According to Strömberg, the father said that they came across the victim by chance and that he had to act in self-defense to protect his sons. He also claims that the youngest son acted in self-defense as well. The older son admits that he beat and kicked the victim but did not intend to kill him.

Strömberg does not believe their story, saying, "The investigation strongly shows that both the youngest son and the father were stabbing the victim. There are so many stab wounds in such a short time and there are stab wounds both front and back of the body. The damage to the clothes shows different marks, so we believe two different knives were used. Two bloody knives have also been found in connection with the murder when they were arrested."

Documents from the Swedish Migration Agency reveal that the father applied for asylum in Sweden in 2012 but was refused and deported. However, he applied for a halt to the enforcement action, and was then granted a permanent residence permit and refugee status. According to the Swedish Migration Agency, he had converted from Islam and therefore risked persecution in his home country.
In a later statement, the Swedish Migration Agency writes that an investigation has been initiated into revoking the father's permanent residence permit.
The Swedish government has come under fire as of late due to the country's rapidly increasing crime rate, which is closely tied to the country's growing migrant population.

Syrian intern molested two 4-year-old children in German kindergarten: police

A 35-year-old Syrian male intern sexually molested two 4-year-old children — one while she was taking her afternoon nap — in a kindergarten in the city of Neubrandenburg in the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, according to German police. The 35-year-old man has been charged with suspected child sexual abuse.

The alleged abuse first came to light when one boy told his parents that he was sexually molested. The management inside the kindergarten discussed the incident internally at first and did not involve the police. The father then went directly to authorities and filed a formal complaint, according to police.

Another father reported another sexual assault involving the same Syrian male on Monday of this week. The father said his child told him that the Syrian touched her genitals and buttocks with a sexual intent while she was trying to take her afternoon nap, according to German daily Bild.

"The investigations by the criminal police in Neubrandenburg into suspected sexual abuse of children is at the beginning stages," said a police spokeswoman. “To the best of our knowledge, the accused has been suspended. The youth welfare office has also been informed."

In response to the refugee crisis that began in 2015, the Education and Science Union (GEW) pushed for Germany to begin employing asylum seekers and reduce standards for employment in daycares. They called for a loosening of requirements on who could look after children, saying that in addition to educated specialists, non-specialists should also be allowed to look after children.

With less training and oversight requirements, the hope was that Germany could employ migrants and also help ease the burden on its kindergarten system, which is lacking in staff.

Afghan migrant who brutally beat 76-year-old nun in Austria is arrested by police

Austrian police have arrested an Afghan migrant who brutally beat a 76-year-old Catholic nun in the multicultural city of Graz. The assault is only the latest in spate of barbaric anti-Christian attacks to take place across Western Europe in the past month.
The 19-year-old migrant attacker, who was known to authorities for previous drug and assault offenses, hit the elderly nun in the face, knocking her to the floor, as she traveled on the bus with another religious sister on Saturday afternoon. Shortly after, the perpetrator fled the scene. Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung reports.

After reviewing captured video footage from the bus, the State Office for the Protection of the Constitution and Counter Terrorism promptly identified the Afghan-born assailant and arrested him. Shortly after his arrest, upon being interrogated by police, the Afghan migrant confessed to the crime. According to police, the motive for the attack is still unclear.
In the past week alone, the Austrian capital has witnessed three separate incidents where Islamist perpetrators were involved, with one resulting in numerous deaths.

Last Thursday, a mob of 30 to 50 Turkish Islamists stormed into the parish church of St. Anton in Favoriten in Vienna-Favoriten, kicking over pews and church furniture in the church, while shouting “Allahu Akbar”, before fleeing the scene, Catholic News Agency reported. The brazen attack was quickly condemned by the Archdiocese of Vienna, who called for swift consequences for the anti-Christian perpetrators.
Two days later, a 25-year-old Afghan migrant was arrested after he burst into Saint Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna, yelling "Islamist slogans" as the parish prepared for Sunday’s celebration of All Saints’ Day. The State Office for the Protection of the Constitution and Combating Terrorism is currently is investigating the case.

Both incidents took place just days before 20-year-old Kujitim Fejzulai, an Islamic State sympathizer and North Macedonian-Austrian dual national, murdered four people and wounded 22 others with an AK-47 during a rampage in the Austrian capital on Monday.
After being shot dead by security forces, it later was revealed that Fejzulai had been sentenced to 22 months in prison in April 2019 after being convicted for trying to travel to Syria to join the Islamic State. After serving just nine months of his prison term, authorities released Fejzulai early under juvenile law, as previously reported by Remix News.

Spain: Canary Islands residents protest rising number of illegal immigrants, tensions rise after brutal attack

There is growing tension in the Canary Islands in Spain between migrants and locals, and protests have been sparked following reports of migrants assaulting islanders. By the end of November this year, at least 17,000 migrants had arrived on the islands, most of whom were accommodated in hotels, apparently at the expense of Spanish taxpayers, however, there are more and more clashes with locals, and their mass presence is also a threat to tourism, which is already facing a difficult situation.

A group of angry locals marched in front of a hotel in the Canary Islands, where mostly Arab illegal immigrants are housed. According to reports, Mogan residents have had enough of the migrants who have been steadily arriving in the city in recent months, according to Hungarian news outlet Origo.
The last straw was when a 27-year-old man, Kevin, was beaten and robbed by a gang of migrants. The man became aware last Wednesday that a gang of West African Arab youths were insulting two girls in Mogan. Kevin hurried to their aid, calling on the migrants to leave the girls alone. At that point, witnesses say that members of the group attacked him while one of them shouted, “Let’s kill him.”
Kevin’s brother told the press about the incident.

La gente en Mogán está harta. La gota que colmó el vaso ha sido la paliza que un grupo de #inmigrantes ilegales propinó a un chico por recriminarles su acoso a dos menores.
Esto acabará mal.

News outlet Canarias7 reported that the attackers then ran away, but the man went after them to get his phone, wallet and keys back. He eventually got his cell phone and wallet back from an older member of the gang, but not his license and lock key. The man suffered such serious injuries that he had to be transported to the hospital and authorities initiated proceedings against the migrants.

However, according to the victim’s family, such attacks are becoming more common on the island. The Canary Islands have already received at least 17,000 illegal immigrants this year, the highest number since 2015. Approximately 8,000 of them landed on the islands in November alone, which is believed to be a record for one month. About 6,000 of them are housed in hotels, which cost Spanish taxpayers €300,000 a day.

Fearing that another wave of migration would have a detrimental effect on tourism, which is already in a difficult situation due to the coronavirus epidemic and could delay the islands' economic recovery, the Tourist Board and the municipalities of Mogán and San Bartolomé de Tirajana turned to the Madrid government for help even at the end of November. The Tourist Board is pushing to have migrants living in hotels transferred to reception centers.

Illegal migration along the Balkan route has increased by 170% since January

Archive
The number of migrants who illegally entered the countries of the European Union via the so-called Balkan route from January to September increased by 170 percent year-over-year, the EU border agency Frontex revealed on Thursday.

It is the highest increase among the main migration routes to the EU for the aforementioned period.

In the first nine months of this year, 228,000 migrants were detained at the EU’s external border without a permit, the most since 2016.

The number of migrants who entered the EU illegally increased by 70 percent year-over-year from January to the end of September. The Balkan route shows the highest increase, followed by the Eastern Mediterranean countries where the numbers increased by 118 percent.

The route through the Western Balkans also became the busiest with 106,000 migrants apprehended in the first three quarters; the central Mediterranean route followed with 65,600 detained migrants, a year-over-year increase of 42 percent. In the case of the Balkan route, however, the high numbers can also be explained by repeated attempts to cross the border, Frontex writes in the report.

“The Western Balkan route continues to be the most active migratory route into the EU with 19,160 detections in September, twice as many as a year ago,” Frontex said. In total, around 33,400 migrants without relevant permits were detained at the EU’s external border in September.

The situation on the Balkan migration route worries countries in Central Europe. Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić discussed illegal migration at the beginning of the month. Serbia, where many migrants try to cross the border into the EU, has promised to tighten its visa policy.

Czech and Slovak disagreements

Due to the growing number of detained migrants, the Czech Republic renewed controls at the border with Slovakia at the end of September. For the same reason, there are calls in Germany to restore controls at the border with the Czech Republic. According to the Czech Minister of the Interior Vít Rakušan, it is also necessary to discuss the situation with Turkey, which has many refugees from Syria and other countries on its territory looking to reach the EU.

On Wednesday, the ministers of the interior of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Vít Rakušan and Roman Mikulec, held talks about whether the Czech Republic is complying with the terms of the readmission agreement when transferring refugees to Slovakia.

Bratislava does not like the fact that Czechia only informs Slovakia that it is returning migrants, which it then drops off at the border without waiting for a response from the Slovak authorities. Mikulec sent an official letter to Prague in which he drew attention to compliance with the terms of the agreement, including the requirement for precisely agreed places and times for handovers.

“Unfortunately, the Czech side does not comply with this. We fulfill our obligations, but have limited capacities,” said Mikulec. According to him, groups of migrants move through the border along the Czech Republic because the Slovak authorities do not have enough time to take them over.

According to his statement, Rakušan understands that the reintroduction of checks on the Slovakian-Czech border is a measure that is unpleasant and difficult for all parties. “Unfortunately, in the current situation, it is necessary and brings security to the citizens of the Czech Republic. From the beginning, we were ready to negotiate with the Slovak side. Compliance with the valid readmission agreement was always our demand and wish,” he said.

“Therefore, of course, we are also now ready to clarify all matters contained in this contract. However, we insist on a consistent procedure when applying readmissions,” Rakušan added.

'Iraqi paedophile spared deportation from Britain after claiming he feared persecution back home because he is bisexual'

Archive
An Iraqi paedophile was reportedly spared deportation from Britain after he claimed to fear persecution in Iraq because he is bisexual.

The man who is only known as MA due to an anonymity order had entered the UK illegally in September 2017, according to the Mirror.

In November 2018 he was jailed for 10 months for abusing a child and was ordered to sign the sex offender register. Deportation papers for MA were signed and an order was created to make him leave Britain.

In a legal bid to stay, the paedophile told an immigration tribunal he should be protected as he was at risk of 'honour-based violence' for 'his bisexuality' - and he won his case.

Home Secretary Suella Braverman contested the ruling by claiming that MA told 'numerous lies'.

He also claimed protection under his right to a family life in the UK.

Government lawyers said it was 'not accepted the appellant is at risk of persecution because of his sexuality' and told the Mirror: 'It is considered his deportation is in the public interest given the offence committed and likelihood of reoffending.'

However, upper tribunal judge Therese Kamara, sitting in Central London, agrees with the initial ruling.

She told the appeal hearing that that his fear of persecution at the hands of his own family due to his sexuality was a 'relevant factor' as well as the 'potential risk from the public, discrimination by the authorities [and] the absence of protection for LGBTI people'.

Afghan asylum seeker is jailed for twice raping 'vulnerable' 12-year-old Albanian refugee girl in taxpayer-funded hotel (Archive)

  • Sakhidad Ahadi, 25, got 12 years in jail and is on sex offenders register for life
  • He must serve at least eight years in custody before he is considered for parole
An Afghan asylum-seeker has been jailed for twice-raping a 'vulnerable' 12 year-old Albanian refugee living in the same Home Office-funded hotel.

Sakhidad Ahadi, 25, who continues to lie about his age and was deemed 'dangerous' by the judge, received twelve years imprisonment after grooming the young girl and coaxing her into his room.

He is determined to pursue a life in the UK, claiming he was shot by the Taliban when he refused to be recruited, having already endured the murder of his father at the hands of the country's rulers.

The girl and her brother had been brought to the UK by their mother and the family were accommodated at the historic Queens Hotel, Crystal Palace - known locally as 'Hotel Asylum'.

It proudly boasts an English Heritage Blue Plaque outside, noting French Novelist Emile Zola was a resident between 1898 and 1899.

Ahadi pleaded guilty to one count of raping the girl and a Croydon Crown Court jury convicted him on a second count of raping her on the same occasion between December 22, 2022 and January 1, 2023.

He claimed she consented to sex and he believed she was 19 years old, with his lawyer Lisa Wilson submitting: 'Perceiving age may not be so clear to someone who has grown up in mountainous Afghanistan.'

'Both the defendant and victim were living at the hotel, housed there by the Home Office with other asylum-seekers,' prosecutor Janine Sheff told the court.

'He made a number of attempts to talk to her and followed her around and she said he bothered her and once brought her into his room and massaged her injured foot.

'She says she was scared of him and he sought physical contact with her and on the day of the offences he approached her near the hotel lifts and offered her cream for spots on her face.

'She went with him to his room and he said he would massage and crack her back, but she was scared and told him she was 12 years old.

'He put on the cream and pulled her pants down and she said it hurt her and made her cry. He then turned her over and raped her again.

'It made a mess of the bed and the defendant tried to clean it up with toilet paper,' said the prosecutor, explaining it was the young girl's time of the month.

'He gave her five pounds and a SIM card to buy her silence and to potentially engage in future activity as she was urged to remain in contact via mobile phone.

'The Probation Services's pre-sentence report points out this is classic behaviour of grooming.'

The girl kept the rapes a secret from her mother until she told a hotel security guard she was afraid of Ahadi and the police were informed.

When officers arrived she revealed to them for the first time that she had been raped and her first recorded police interview had to be scrapped because she was so distressed.

'The victim also has a learning difficulty that makes her particularly vulnerable,' said Miss Sheff, adding a medical check showed evidence of two internal lacerations.

Ahadi was arrested on January 2 and has been in custody since. 'He claimed she had come into his room while he was studying for college and initiated sex and thought she was 19 years-old.'

In her victim impact statement the girl said: 'I feel super-stressed, suffer emotional outbursts and I am crying all the time. I stay awake at night and feel someone is chasing me.'

Her mother said: 'The sky has fallen in on my head and destroyed me. We came to this country for safety and I did not want anything like this to happen to my children.'

Miss Wilson said of Ahadi, who required an interpreter throughout the trial: 'He has made great efforts to learn English and looks to take advantage of being a civilian in this country, whether a prisoner or not.'

Judge Anthony Dunne told Ahadi, wearing a grey tracksuit: 'You touched her and took her pants off and you raped her first when she was face-down and a medical examination revealed you tore her.

'Despite her young age and obvious distress you turned her over and after you finished there was a mess on the bed, which you cleaned up with toilet paper.

'She told you her real age and that she was twelve years-old. She denied that she told you she was aged nineteen and her version of events have been proved.

'The jury concluded that she was telling the truth and that you were lying.

'It has been said your cultural background made it impossible for you to know she was twelve. I reject that as implausible.

'While she was in obvious distress you raped her and she was vulnerable and had a learning difficulty.

'Your sexual assault has had a significant effect on her mental health and your actions have had a highly significant psychological effect on her and her mother.'

'The mother says she has been destroyed by what happened to her daughter.'

Ahadi continues to lie he is only twenty years-old, but Judge Dunne confirmed: 'The records of the relevant authorities show that he is twenty-five years-old.

'I accept you had difficulties in your childhood in Afghanistan and you were vulnerable at the time of the offence and your epilepsy will make life more difficult in prison,' the judge told him.

'I have heard you have made good progress in prison and this is to your credit.'

However Judge Dunne added: 'I am satisfied you are a risk and meet the 'dangerousness' criteria and you present a significant risk to the public.

'You showed no remorse or insight for these offences,' said the Judge, ordering an extended sentence of an additional three years on licence once Ahadi is released.

He must serve at least eight years in custody before he is considered for parole and will remain on the sex offenders register for life.

It's gonna get worse, from a egyptian telegram channel:
1 Million Sudanese people have entered Egypt for safety and refugee since the start of the conflict.

This doesn't include the preexisting 5 million.

That adds up to 6 million Sudanese people, where at least 4 of them came here for asylum.

Add in the millions of Palestinians, Syrians, Libyans, Africans, and we're going on a count of over 12 million Middle Eastern/African nationals here, Europe doesn't have more than 9 million refugees across all of the continent, and they can't even integrate them.

I want to think best of my country, but that's simply too much mouths to feed, and over 120 million people live on land the size of Benelux, I think that the Egyptian government may threaten Europe the same way Libya threatened them.

Libya was guaranteed free food shipments from Italy, investments, money, etc, for keeping people at bay from trying to seek illegal residency in Europe, Egypt may try to do the same, already, Europe is dumping tens of millions of Euros to Egypt in establishing food aid and border security, but maybe that's not enough.. if billions of euros can't keep out hundreds of thousands a month, how are 23 million euros going to ensure that a few million stay here?

By the way, about the Sudanese who've come here since the start of the conflict, to the best of my knowledge, that's 5,000 people going to Cairo every day, and we can't close down the border for humanitarian reasons.

More than 25,000 asylum seekers have arrived in Britain after crossing the Channel in small boats since Rishi Sunak became Prime Minister (Archive)

  • Rishi Sunak in January pledged to stop small boats arriving in the UK from Calais
  • Since entering Downing Street, more than 25,000 asylum seekers made the trip
More than 25,000 asylum seekers have arrived in Britain via small boats since Rishi Sunak became Prime Minister, according to figures analysed by the Labour Party.

Shadow immigration minister Stephen Kinnock said Mr Sunak had 'fundamentally failed to get a grip' on the migrant crisis in the English Channel, despite a pledge to put a stop to small boats crossing from France.

Mr Sunak entered 10 Downing Street on October 25.

The Conservative Party leader, in a speech in January, made stopping the boats one of his top five priorities ahead of next year's likely general election.

According to Ministry of Defence figures, more than 7,600 people, thought to have been asylum seekers, arrived in Britain in small boats between October 25 and December 31.

Home Office figures up to Friday suggest that almost 17,500 people have arrived via the same route in 2023.

It is thought the 25,000 arrivals mark since Mr Sunak's premiership started was topped on Friday when the Home Office recorded that 144 people arrived in three boats.

Over the past 12 months, French authorities have been able to stop less than half of those boats seeking to cross the Channel.

Mr Kinnock said: 'The Conservatives have allowed criminal smuggling gangs to take hold on Britain's borders and Tory incompetence is risking our national security, putting lives at risk, and pounding the public purse for millions every day.

'Rishi Sunak has fundamentally failed to get a grip and crossings are rocketing on his watch.

'It's time for a different approach. The Prime Minister must now back Labour's plan to stop the dangerous Channel crossings by going after the criminal gangs, by securing a returns deal with Europe, and by clearing the asylum backlog which is costing the taxpayer £6 million a day.'

Home Secretary Suella Braverman said in December that about 40,000 migrants were being housed in hotels, with the Government estimating that accommodating refugees costs British taxpayers between £5 million and £6 million per day.

Sir Keir Starmer's Labour Party said only 3,000 people are being removed from the UK each year following failed asylum bids.

Citing Home Office figures, Labour said only 16 per cent of asylum seekers who arrived by small boat between 2018 and March 2023 have had their asylum cases decided.

The UK Government has applied a number of measures to make it less appealing to come to Britain via unauthorised routes.

Ministers are looking to move migrants out of hotels and into accommodation on barges and former military sites.

The Illegal Migration Act also allows for those arriving via small boats to be sent back to their country of origin or deported to Rwanda in east Africa.

However, flights destined for Kigali have yet to take off, with the policy currently awaiting an appeal decision in the courts.

A Home Office spokesman said: 'The unacceptable number of people risking their lives by making these dangerous crossings is placing an unprecedented strain on our asylum system.

'Our priority is to stop the boats, and our small boats operational command is working alongside our French partners and other agencies to disrupt the people smugglers.

'The Government is going even further through our Illegal Migration Act which will mean that people arriving in the UK illegally are detained and promptly removed to their country of origin or a safe third country.'

A Conservative Party spokesman said: 'Sir Keir Starmer and his fellow lefty lawyers oppose any and every practical measure to stop the boats.

'A vote for Labour would be a vote for more boats, more hotels and more pressure on public services.

'Only the Conservatives have made stopping the boats a priority - our tough but fair approach means that if someone enters the UK illegally they will be detained immediately and removed to a safe country within weeks.'

Labour said its plan to stop the boats would involve a cross-border police unit tasked with going after criminal smuggling gangs.

It said the new unit would crack down on trafficking, while millions of pounds of new investment would be ploughed into the National Crime Agency to address the migrant issue.

Officers would be based in the UK and throughout Europe to tackle the gangs across the continent, in collaboration with international allies and Europol, Labour officials said.

I will rape Jesus!’ – Migrant shouts obscenities on video while smashing Swedish Catholic church windows with rocks (Archive)

A migrant in Sweden filmed himself smashing windows of a Catholic church in Sweden while shouting obscene remarks, including threats to “rape Jesus.”

Swedish news portal Samnytt posted a video of the perpetrator from a location in a migrant-populated suburb of the capital Stockholm.

The video was posted online to TikTok by user Fares.Aziz2. The man seen in the video clip says he is going to rape Jesus and then throws stones at the windows. The man’s profile remains up, but the video clip of him attacking the church has since been deleted from TikTok.

“Sweden, I’m going to rape Jesus in there now,” he shouted in the video. He then screams: “Allahu Akbar!”

According to the latest available data from 2017, Haninge had a population of around 31,000, of which over 35 percent were of foreign origin, which indicates individuals born outside Sweden or both of whose parents were born outside Sweden.

Churches have long been targets of attack in Sweden, especially in migrant-heavy areas. For example, in 2021, the historic 12th-century Spånga Evangelical Lutheran Church, located in the suburbs of Stockholm near Rinkeby, was hit with several firebombs; the pastor of the church, Jerker Alsterlund, said it was “a deliberate provocative act.”

“The alarm was triggered when a window was smashed and flammable liquid was thrown at the front gate and one of the windows. However, the fire was quickly put out by the police, who used a powder extinguisher,” he said.

In 2019, Europe faced a record-high number of attacks on Christians and Christian sites of worship. In a massive arson attack on France’s Nantes Cathedral, a migrant from Rwanda confessed to having set the church ablaze.
